Chapter 1003: Prove it!
Chapter 1003: Prove it!
The first seed of the law has been stolen…
No, it was given away.
Everyone saw that Idan did not interfere with the bird, allowing it to take possession of the seed. The beasts were angry and indignant.
While the next seed was still not ripe, Idan carefully watched the bird.
After making sure that he posed no threat to it, the bird looked away and, settling down comfortably, began to absorb the seed of the law.
“How brazen!” thought Idan, realizing once again that the bird, despite its Golden rank, was able to get to the very heart of the Anomaly, to the Tree, and even get the seed.
Compared to the Platinum-ranked creatures gathered here, which were larger and stronger than their terrestrial counterparts before evolution, this bird seemed tiny and burnt.
[Host, there’s nothing surprising about this], the System suddenly spoke up.
[This bird has somehow evolved into a type of beast similar to symbiotes. This System found a weak connection between the bird and the Host and suggests that it was thanks to the Host’s immunity to the element of fire that it was able to reach the heart of the Anomaly.
[Due to this connection, the energy fluctuations of the Host and the bird coincide, and the flame of the Host perceives the bird as a part of itself.]
“So you’re saying that this bird somehow stuck to me and followed us all the time?”
[Yes, that’s right.]
The System’s words were quite logical and explained a lot. Idan didn’t feel any connection with the bird the System was talking about, otherwise he would have noticed long ago that it continued to follow them.
“Apparently, the connection is one-way, or else the bird has a unique ability to disguise itself.”
The tree shuddered again, distracting Idan from the bird.
“The second seed has matured…”
He didn’t have to guess what was going on.
He looked down at the bird and, making sure that it did not interfere with his movement, hurried after the beasts, who rushed to the second seed.
His speed was lightning fast, he quickly caught up and blocked the path of the beasts to the second seed.
They growled furiously, hating him more and more.
Idan looked at the beasts in front of him. It was only a small part of the entire pack gathered here. In the distance, an even larger group was watching the scene, sizing it up.
However, even they began to hate him, and Idan could understand them. Especially after he let the bird take the first seed.
“Prove it!” said Idan in a solemn voice so that all the beasts could hear him.
“Prove that you are worthy!”
“Try to get the seed that I’m guarding.”
“Use any means: force, deception, or cooperation.”
“If any of you can get to the seed and pull it out, it will be yours. I will not pursue and take revenge.”
“But keep in mind, I won’t let you take more than one-third of all the seeds.”
“I will not be merciful.”
“Don’t blame me for your weakness and death.”
The beasts reacted differently to Idan’s words.
Their advanced intelligence, achieved thanks to the platinum rank, allowed them to understand Idan’s general intention, albeit not verbatim.
Some were still angry, while others thought seriously about his words.
However, most importantly, Idan had sown the seeds of division among the beasts.
They used to be united in their anger, but now some began to look at other beasts as rivals. They even started thinking about how to use them to get to the seeds themselves.
The other part was even wiser. They realized that the seeds were just beginning to ripen, and there would be more of them over time. Therefore, they decided to observe the situation before taking any action.
While Idan was busy with the beasts, Ned found himself in the middle of an intense battle with the remaining creatures of Darkness.
With the maturation of the law seeds, the main suppression disappeared, and the Diamond-ranked creatures of Darkness regained their full power, putting pressure on Ned. Their desire to kill him became even more insistent.
Ned, who wanted to get rid of them as soon as possible and go to the aid of his older brother, found himself in the thick of the battle.
Soon, two of his clones joined the battle, supporting him.
The remaining creatures of Darkness were all representatives of the Dark Beast Territory, and were in their true forms by this point.
The tree shook again, heralding the ripening of another seed of the law.
Realizing this, Ned felt annoyed by their persistence and tenacity.
It was the heart of a Fire Anomaly, imbued with the element of fire, not Light.
The two Wheels of Light behind him had lost some of their power.
To regain his strength, Ned had to recall one of his clones, leaving only a copy of Raynar the Fire Dragon.
With the clone’s return, the lost Wheels of Light regained their power. They began to spin at an incredible speed, making a deafening hum.
And then, suddenly, the Creatures of Light, led by Serafina, joined Ned’s battle with the Dark Beasts.
She appeared like a ray of light, wearing the elegant white armor of the Guardian of Light, familiar to Ned, holding a shining spear in her hands. Without hesitation, she pierced through the head of one of the dark beasts, taking its life.
Following her, the other beings of Light descended on the remaining weakened dark beasts, leaving them with no chance of escape.
Ned was both annoyed and delighted that these annoying dark beasts were finally over.
When the dark beasts were defeated, Ned’s attention was completely focused on Serafina and the many beings of Light behind her.
These Creatures of Light were not allies, but enemies.
Behind his back, his big brother was fighting to protect the Tree, and Ned could not allow Serafina and the rest of the Creatures of Light to interfere in this process.
He was joined by his last remaining clone, and now they have become the only obstacle between Serafina and Idan.
