Chapter 1079: Make yourself comfortable
Chapter 1079: Make yourself comfortable
“I apologize in advance,” was all Estelle managed to hear before an invisible force pulled her towards the mysterious portal.
It wasn’t until she was on the other side that she realized, and she was terrified.
“My children!” she exclaimed, falling onto the soft green lawn.
Amanda fell next to her. Even as a Golden-ranked Contractor, she couldn’t resist the force, and she was also dragged into the portal.
Estelle had no time to get up when two smiling babies appeared from the portal. She immediately rushed to them, caught them and hugged them tightly.
“My boys.”
It wasn’t until she felt their weight and warmth in her arms that she felt her anxiety recede.
Amanda turned around and looked at Estelle and her children and at the portal that had disappeared, leaving them in an unknown place.
In front of them towered a two-story wooden building, whose windows glowed from the lamps. Lifting her head, Amanda saw vast expanses of stars and even a glowing moon.
A warm and gentle breeze gently touched her face and hair. At the same time, Amanda felt the air being filled with energy that was several times greater than that in the Oasis.
“Where are we?” she exclaimed.
“In the Kingdom,” — said a melodious female voice, and Estelle and Amanda turned to see a gorgeous stranger with long black hair and matching eyes looking at them with a smile.
“The Kingdom?” Amanda had never heard of it before.
The Eastern continent was cut off from the Central Continent to some extent, and news was difficult to reach here before the advent of the {Local Systems Network}.
As a Contractor, Amanda did not have access to the {Local Systems Network}.
“Yes,” Sierra nodded. “This place is called a Kingdom.”
“And so… Who brought you here?” Although Sierra herself already had guesses, she decided to clarify.
As the Guardian of Darkness and the Warden of the Prison, she carefully monitored all intruders and new guests who appeared in the Kingdom.
The two women exchanged glances, and Amanda said:
“Mr. Ignis.”
“Hmm… I knew it,” Sierra said with a smile, adding: “Wait a bit.”
Amanda and Estelle remained vigilant and on their guard.
None of them had any idea what kind of place the Kingdom was.
Estelle was an ordinary mortal, and Amanda couldn’t appreciate the strength of the woman standing in front of her, which, of course, increased her anxiety.
Soon, another girl with long red hair and azure eyes appeared next to this woman.
“Big sister,” — Arabel greeted Sierra, who nodded back with a smile.
“Sis, you have to deal with your husband’s affairs,” Sierra said, pointing to Amanda, Estelle, and her children.
“Oh!” — Arabel blinked in surprise.
“Thank you for the warning, Big sister,” she said. “I can handle this on my own.”
“Okay,” — Sierra nodded, and then, after a moment’s thought, she asked, “How’s your real body doing?”
“Well… it’s fine,” Arabel’s avatar replied and added with a smile, “Out of boredom, I started studying alchemy.”
“Is that what you’re using your avatar for?” A realization dawned on Sierra.
While Arabel’s real body was rushing through time in an accelerated time room under Essora’s careful supervision, she simultaneously used Bera to speed up her alchemy studies.
At that moment, another person joined them.
“Look who’s here,” Sierra smiled, recognizing Idan. “Both of you have started using your avatars a lot.”
She quickly realized that Idan, who had appeared, was also an avatar, just like Arabel.
“I was going to come myself, but there were some urgent matters,” Idan replied. He went over to Arabel, took her hands, and kissed her gently.
In the guise of their avatars, they were both more restrained and did not show strong feelings for each other, so as not to influence Bera and Ned. But they couldn’t control some of their emotions, no matter how much they wanted to.
The two women watching their conversation did not recognize Idan in his true form.
“Okay, if anything, call me.” With that, Sierra disappeared, surprising Amanda and Estelle.
“Are they who I think they are?” Arabel asked Idan.
“It’s a little complicated here.” Idan answered her, glancing at his aunt and Estelle.
Amanda, seeing that the couple had finally paid attention to them, asked:
“Who are you?”
Idan, grinning, replied:
“Of course you don’t recognize me.”
“I’m the one who brought you here, Auntie,” Idan said, looking at Amanda.
As soon as Amanda heard “Auntie,” she recognized him immediately.:
“It’s you! Ignis!”
Idan nodded.
“I was only wearing a disguise before.”
“This is what I really look like, and my real name is not Ignis, but Idan, Idan Fein,” he said, and immediately introduced Arabel:
“And this is my beloved wife, Arabel Fein.”
Amanda and Estelle didn’t know what to say. However, after seeing Idan’s true appearance, they could see some familiar features in his face.
Idan, ignoring their stares, introduced the women to his wife:
“This is Amanda Blake.”
Then he pointed to Estelle and her sons:
“And this is Estelle and her two sons, Elias and Noah.”
He immediately added, “It was these two that two of the four red threads of the {Threads of One Blood} artifact were pointing at.”
“I brought you here to continue our conversation in a more comfortable and peaceful place,” Idan explained his act, addressing Amanda and Estelle.
Arabel, noticing how the two boys Estelle was holding were looking at her curiously, suggested:
“Let’s go inside first, it’s getting pretty late.”
Due to the time difference, it was still the middle of the night in the Kingdom, while the sun had only recently risen in the Eastern Continent.
“Make yourself comfortable,” — Arabel said, pointing to the spacious sofa.
“Big sister, please ask Sofia to bring some snacks, including something for small children,” she said to Sierra, looking at the ceiling as if she was sure that she was watching them.
“Before we start, a few more people will join us,” Idan said, referring to Amanda and Estelle.
They could only nod.
Soon three women entered the house: Inessa, Ivette and Irene.
When everyone gathered and sat around the coffee table in the living room, there was a strange silence.
Amanda and Estelle looked at the new women curiously, wondering who they were.
At the same time, Inessa, Ivette and Irene were also trying to figure out who the two were, including the two small children.
