Chapter 1160: Ina and the Beasts.
Chapter 1160: Ina and the Beasts.
At the top of the hill, with a beautiful view of the Kingdom, seven beasts, led by a fiery dragon and a group of Flaming Cranes, gathered at the place Idan had chosen for the meeting.
Both groups were standing at a distance from each other.
The Seven beasts watched the Flaming Cranes with suspicion and caution, feeling that they had come from the World of Fire that had invaded their home.
Cyrion, Elira, and the rest of the Flaming Cranes, in turn, tried not to provoke the beasts.
The tension between the two groups was broken by the arrival of Idan, who was slightly late.
But everyone’s attention was focused not on Idan himself, but on the teenage girl standing next to him.
Ina, ignoring the Flaming Cranes, couldn’t take her eyes off the Fire Dragon.
“A Dragon!” she exclaimed with undisguised admiration.
Although it wasn’t the first time she had seen a real live dragon, her brother already had a baby dragon. But this was the first time she was able to see an adult dragon up close.
Idan, pleased with her reaction, took her by the hands with a smile and led her to the beasts.
After transforming into a dragon, Azar became bigger than the other six beasts and looked very impressive. Knowing that he had only been a huge snake a short time ago, Idan was impressed as he looked at the dragon, which was no different from most of the dragons he had seen before.
As they got closer, Ina tightened her grip on Idan’s hand and stood closer to him.
“Don’t be afraid,” he whispered in her ear before turning to the beasts.
“It’s been a long time. I’m so glad to see you all.”
Azar calmly nodded in response.
Turning into a dragon did not make him arrogant, and he greeted Idan with respect.
The other beasts also greeted Idan, expressing their feelings in various forms.
“Friends, let me introduce Ina,” Idan continued, turning to his younger sister. All the beasts turned their gazes back to her.
Meanwhile, Ina, who was not used to such attention from powerful beasts, trembled in fear and felt some pressure.
“She’s my little sister,” Idan continued, and as soon as the word left his lips, the pressure Ina felt disappeared.
“Ina,” — Idan called, pointing at the dragon. “Let me introduce Azar, the leader of these six and many other beasts from the Eastern Continent.”
“Oh!” — Ina exclaimed, looking at the dragon in surprise.
“And if I’m not mistaken, Azar is most likely the first creature in our world to evolve into a real Dragon,” Idan said solemnly.
“Really?” — Ina couldn’t believe her ears.
Idan nodded.
“The first Dragon!” exclaimed Ina, unable to contain her admiration.
“And this is Ragnar, the Fire Wolf,” — with these words, Idan introduced the other six beasts to his younger sister in turn. The last one he introduced was the Fire Falcon.
The falcon proudly raised its head, slightly spreading its wings, and Ina admired it.
“Kael, do you mind if my little sister witnesses your rebirth?” Idan asked the falcon.
Falcon shook his head, making it clear that he didn’t mind.
“So this is Kael, who are you going to help with evolution? I wonder what kind of legendary beast he will turn into?”
“Wait, don’t tell me!”
Ina, looking at the Falcon, began to make guesses.
“The Phoenix?” she asked.
“No, not phoenix,” Idan replied with a smile, shaking his head.
“Then the divine bird?” — she suggested.
Idan shook his head again, refuting her assumption. “Okay, stop guessing, you’ll see for yourself soon.”
But Ina did not give up: “Griffin! It’s definitely a griffin! Am I right?”
This time, Idan didn’t deny it.
“Yes, you guessed right,” he admitted with a slight smile.
“Yes! I knew it!” — Ina proudly straightened up, pleased that she guessed correctly.
Idan watched in amazement, noting how quickly her behavior was changing.
Just now she was afraid of beasts, but now she is no longer afraid.
And then he noticed that Ina was looking towards Lissa, the Fire Fox. In her gaze, Idan caught the same desire that he had previously noticed in his grandmother when she saw Snow or Whitey.
“It seems that we have a family desire to pet foxes,” Idan laughed to himself.
“What a pity that this fox is a little wayward and won’t let you near her…”
But before he could finish his sentence, he saw that Ina was already happily hugging the fox, and she wasn’t even displeased.
From what he saw, Idan looked at his sister with envy.
When Idan saw what happened next, his right eye twitched.
Ragnar came up to Ina, offering his wolfish muzzle to be stroked.
When she gently started stroking him, Ragnar stuck out his tongue and wagged his tail actively.
“Buddy, you should be a fearsome wolf, not a dog,” — Idan said to himself.
Since his appearance, he had noticed a change in the man who stood at the head of the Flaming Cranes.
In front of Idan, there was no longer a white-haired old man, but a middle-aged man with long red hair, in whose eyes the fire of life appeared again.
“Well, Cyrion, did you have time to rest?” Idan asked with a smile.
Instead of answering, Cyrion respectfully lowered his head.
His body was trembling slightly from overflowing emotions of gratitude to Idan for the vitality restoring potion.
He still felt like he was in a dream, and he was slightly afraid that he was about to wake up, and everything he had experienced and gained would turn out to be just an ordinary dream.
The potion not only made him look younger, but it also cured hidden injuries and even restored his strength.
The fact that he believed that his years were numbered and that the future belonged to the young was turned upside down by just one carelessly served potion.
“I… can’t find the words to express my gratitude, Benefactor,” — Cyrion’s voice was trembling with excitement. “Let me say how grateful I am for the opportunity.”
“I accept your gratitude,” Idan nodded with a slight smile. “But let me get this straight: I helped you because I need your support myself. I hope you won’t deny me that.”
Cyrion raised his head and said with confidence in his voice:
“Of course I will help. Tell me, what kind of help do you expect from me?”
“I need your Golden Fire,” Idan stated bluntly. “Or rather, your help in the ritual that will transform the Fire Falcon into a Golden Fire Griffin.”
