Chapter 1163: There are six more left
Chapter 1163: There are six more left
The Fire Falcon’s evolution ritual lasted for over twelve hours.
For an ordinary mortal like Ina, it was a very long time, and just like her older brother said, she came and went, almost always seeing the same picture.
However, unlike her, all the animals and even the beautiful people with red hair who were watching from the sidelines showed great interest and did not hide their attention to what was happening.
“What’s so interesting here?” she couldn’t help but ask Lissa, the Fire Fox.
Lissa whined something in response, but Ina didn’t understand what she meant and pouted.
Towards nightfall, Ina felt tired. Although she was bored, she continued to watch her brother and did not notice how she fell asleep, hugging Lissa’s warm fluffy tail.
Towards morning, she was suddenly awakened by a loud noise and bright light that fell from the sky onto the ritual site, blinding her.
“Eh? What’s going on?” she asked, sleepily trying to figure out what was going on through the blinding light.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice:
“Oh, you’re awake!”
Ina, seeing Arabel’s avatar, was delighted:
“Sister-in-law!”
Arabel smiled back at her and turned her attention back to the ritual, which, as it seemed to her, was nearing completion.
Ina noticed that besides Arabel, there were many other people around who had come to see what was happening. It made her realize how important her older brother was doing.
She didn’t fully realize it, but she felt like she was part of some significant event.
Soon, the pillar of light disappeared, and Ina’s mortal eyes were able to see her brother in his Flame Spirit Form.
Her heart began to beat faster.
Ina had only seen him like this once before, the day her brother and sister-in-law fought against a guy named Nemo and his girlfriend Lina in a Simularium.
For her, seeing on a smartphone screen and watching it live are completely different things.
“What happened?” asked Ina, noticing the excitement of Lissa and the other animals. She followed their gaze and saw the Golden Fire suddenly open up, and an amazing golden creature emerged from it.
The flames raging around turned into the huge wings of this creature. He had the head of an eagle with a golden mane and a lion-like body with a long tail. The feathers and fur seemed to be cast from liquid sun gold, and the eyes shone like a golden sun.
It was the legendary Golden Griffin that she had imagined in her mind. But in reality, he turned out to be so amazing that the very sight of him filled Ina with excitement and awe.
“Brother really did it!”
Ina broke away from the griffin and looked at Idan, who had canceled his Spirit Form, turning into an Alpha of Fire.
To Ina, who was only superficially familiar with the world of cultivation, everything her brother accomplished seemed like a real miracle. He transformed a huge fire bird into a legendary beast.
“If I told my former classmates about this, no one would believe me,” Ina thought, gradually filling with pride that she had such an amazing brother.
The veil created by Sierra was still active, and Idan was inside, cautiously watching the Golden Griffin.
He kept his eyes on the creature, ready to step in and calm it down at any moment.
“Kael?” — He said softly.
Cyrion, who was standing a little to the side, froze and held his breath, trying not to attract attention.
Fire shone in the Griffin’s eyes, and a Golden Fire flared up around him with renewed vigor. Then he let out a loud roar, which had the notes of a lion and an eagle.
It was long and loud.
Idan’s initial concern disappeared when he realized that the Griffin wasn’t going to attack. It dawned on him that it was a kind of triumphant, emotional Griffin roar, like the cries of joy of the winners in a competition that release the accumulated tension.
Along with the roar, the Golden Fire began to fade. A Golden Fire Griffin appeared in front of Idan and Cyrion in its calm form. The golden fire was left burning only at the tip of his tail.
His eyes, which were turned towards Idan, were no longer burning with fire, but were full of many emotions.
The griffin slowly lowered its head in front of him, as if expressing its gratitude.
Idan finally relaxed and smiled. The tension turned to joy at the realization that he and Kael had succeeded.
He hadn’t felt this good in a long time.
At that moment, Sierra’s veil fell off, and soon Kael and himself were surrounded by all the beasts.
Kael proudly raised his head, presenting himself in front of the other five beasts, who were studying him with envy.
When the Fire Dragon approached him, golden fire blazed around the Griffin, but he quickly suppressed it.
His new bloodline did not want Kael to obey anyone, but Kael himself did not lose his loyalty to his friends and, of course, to Azar’s leadership. Therefore, suppressing his new instincts, he lowered his head.
Idan noticed this and sighed softly.
In Kael’s short reaction, he saw a potential problem that could arise in the future during Azar’s upcoming evolution.
“I hope that until that time comes, Kael and the others will remain loyal to him without being influenced by their bloodlines.”
Idan was deep in thought about the future when he was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice:
“Congratulations!”
Idan turned around and saw his wife’s avatar.
“Thank you,” he smiled.
Arabel came over, stood next to him, and looked at Kael with admiration.
“He’s beautiful!”
Idan nodded in agreement.
It was the first time for both of them that they had seen a real live griffin. And the fact that they both contributed to his appearance only reinforced this feeling.
“There are six more left,” Idan added.
“And to do that, you need to find the remaining five True Fires first.”
“Yes, that’s right,” Idan agreed. “I have already instructed Libya to gather information about the other owners of the True Fires. What information she gets will determine which approach I choose.”
After saying that, Idan remembered the deal with Sierra, which included compensation for Prina. In the upcoming hunt for True Fires, he will need her help, so it is better to fix the relationship in advance.
Idan opened the “Trade” function to buy a good drink and look for something that could help him apologize to Prina. But when his gaze fell on the number of System Points, he froze.
Idan clearly remembered that when he bought the missing resources for Kael’s ritual, he had about 170,000 System Points left in his account.
However, when he looked at the balance now, he saw that the number of points had decreased to less than 100,000.
“Where did more than 80,000 disappear to?” he wondered.
While Idan was wondering, he was distracted by a quiet voice calling his name.
“Dan.”
“Huh?” he replied, turning to Arabel.
When he met her gaze, he saw that she was averting her eyes, as if feeling guilty. And then it dawned on him.
After all, apart from him, Arabel was the only one who had access to their total System score. And if he didn’t spend 80,000 points, then perhaps she did it — his wife Arabel.
