Chapter 1184: The bartender’s request.

While it was daytime in the Kingdom, night had already fallen on the Eastern Continent.

The Coldhouse, as before, was full of noise and visitors.

“It looks like our recent visit didn’t change the atmosphere in this place much,” — Idan thought as he headed for the bar.

He was wearing a {Ghost Mask} and appeared in the form of Ignis. It was under this guise that he was known to the local bartender.

He went to the bar and took an empty seat, and Prina sat next to him.

“You came quickly,” the bartender’s voice echoed in his head. He spoke through the “Soul Force”, continuing to serve one of the customers on the side.

“You could say it was a lucky coincidence,” Idan replied in the same way, without turning his head. “I was busy, but the circumstances were convenient. Since I was distracted anyway, I decided to close several cases at once. And I admit, I’m curious about what exactly you wanted to discuss with me.”

After finishing with the visitor, he headed towards Idan.

“Something strong,” — Idan said, ordering.

The bartender raised his eyebrows, but when he saw Idan tilt his head slightly, he understood everything.

“Just a minute,” he nodded and started making cocktails.

While he was doing this, he turned to Idan with a question:

“I wanted to ask you a question in person. If you’re familiar with and can even invite Federation Heroes and even Dungeon Heroes, does that mean you have access to Dungeon Gates?”

This question from the bartender immediately made it clear to Idan what he wanted to talk to him about.

After a moment’s thought, Idan replied evasively:

“Let’s say.”

The bartender stopped and looked at Idan in silence for a minute. He then quickly mixed a cocktail and placed it in front of Idan.

Idan pushed the cocktail towards Prina, and she happily accepted it and started drinking.

“Okay, I won’t beat around the bush. I want to get into the Dungeons, and I need your help,” the Bartender said bluntly.

Idan was lost in thought. From their brief meetings and conversations, he learned that the bartender was a Golden—ranked Awakened Man and the owner of this amazing bar.

The bar is his personal territory, a refuge where he feels safe and, perhaps, even able to resist those whom he considers enemies.

Of course, Idan wasn’t going to find out if the bartender would be able to chase him away or use force if he thought he posed a threat.

“However, once he leaves the bar, he is highly likely to become vulnerable and lose his protection.”, — Idan thought.

“Being a personal territory like a Kingdom, a bar should have its anchor. The bartender can’t carry it with him, so he can’t enter the Dungeon Gate without leaving his bar.”

All of this was just Idan’s guess.

He wasn’t going to ask directly. Even if he was right, the bartender still wouldn’t admit it. None of the Awakened Ones would voluntarily reveal their weakness related to their own territory.

“I won’t hide it, the Most Handsome King. I’ve been looking for a way to gain secure access to the Dungeons and Nexus for some time now. I had options, but they all carried too much risk. You… look like a man with whom you can make a fair deal.”

The bartender confessed.

“A deal, huh?” smiled Idan. “Pour me something non-alcoholic.”

The bartender nodded and quickly prepared a special cocktail for Idan.

After taking a sip, Idan looked at the bartender.

“I can help you, but tell me first. Are you able to create a separate entrance to your bar? Not related to the entrance in this city, for example, on another continent?”

The bartender raised an eyebrow.

Waiting for his answer, Idan took another sip.

“Damn, it’s delicious,” he thought, and his desire to have free access to the bar increased by 1 point.

“Well, in principle, it’s possible,” Bartender replied after a short pause.

Idan slowly turned the glass in his hand.

“And if such a point is located inside my personal territory?” he asked calmly.

The bartender froze.

This time, his surprise was more obvious.

“Inside… your personal territory?” he asked.

“Yeah. You will open the entrance to your bar on my territory. My people will be able to come here as visitors. They will be able to relax, order food and drinks, and use your services. In some cases, the bar will be used as an intermediate transfer point, if it is agreed in advance.”

The bartender didn’t say anything right away, but his gaze became more attentive.

Idan took a sip of his non-alcoholic cocktail and continued:

“In return, I’ll show you a safe way to enter the Dungeon. Not through the city Gates, and not through others that are under the control of others. Through the entrance, which is under my control.”

The bartender slowly put the shaker on the counter.

“Are you talking about a personal Gate now?” he asked softly.

Idan smiled, but didn’t give a direct answer.

“I’m talking about a deal that could be beneficial to both of us,” he said.

The bartender looked at him for a few seconds, and then grinned.

“The Most Handsome King, you know how to make offers that are difficult to refuse.”

Idan turned with a satisfied smile to Prina, whom only he could see.

“Go bring Livia and Saelina here, but do it discreetly, while I discuss the details of the deal,” he asked.

Prina pouted, but then, as if remembering something, she smiled.

“I want another cake,” she said.

“Cough cough cough,” Idan almost choked while taking a sip of his cocktail after hearing these demands.

850 System points. The price of the cake he had given her as a token of his apology came back to her.

“Are you serious?” he asked.

She made an innocent face and tilted her head.

“Why not?”

“Your services are too expensive. Okay, I’ll go find them myself,” Idan said, putting the glass on the counter and getting up.

“Tsch!” — Prina clicked her tongue and, pushing Idan back onto the bar stool, strode to the door, muttering something under her breath.

“So, where were we?” said Idan to the bartender with a slight smile.
