Chapter 1188: “What… What did you do to her?”
Idan left Geminia’s room, feeling much calmer than when he entered.
The anxiety hadn’t completely gone away, but now it was taking shape. He realized what had happened to Eleanor, realized what choice she had made, and most importantly, made sure that this choice was not forced on her.
Idan also saw this as Geminia’s desire to expand the Doppelganger bloodline. All the Doppelgangers were to some extent her continuation and closely related to her. He remembered how happy Geminia had been when Ned had become a separate being.
Eleanor was still standing in the hall with Livia and Saelina. Her posture and bearing were not much different from the two Diamond-ranked beings.
When she noticed Idan, she immediately turned to him, and a question flashed in her eyes.
“It’s okay,” Idan smiled before she could speak.
Eleanor looked at him carefully, and then smiled gently.
“Then I’m glad.”
Idan turned his gaze to Livia and Saelina. Both women remained calm, but it was clear from their tense shoulders that they still didn’t fully understand what was going on.
“Stay here,” he said. “Geminia will explain everything to you as she sees fit. As for the information about the True Fires, that can wait.”
Livia and Saelina exchanged glances, then nodded at the same time.
Idan looked at Eleanor once more. For a moment, he wanted to say something else, but in the end, he only smiled slightly.
She was no longer the frail, mortal old woman he had met. Standing in front of him was Eleanor Blake, still proud, calm, and stubborn.
Idan understood that he could only respect her choice.
“Then I’ll go,” he said.
Eleanor nodded.
“Say hi to Arabel for me.”
Hearing her words, Idan couldn’t help but grin, after which he turned around and headed for the exit of the auction house.
“Rank 7?” thought Idan, remembering the basic condition for the development of the Path of the Beast Lord.
Apart from Geminia and the Baby dragon’s parents, he couldn’t think of anyone he knew who would meet this requirement.
Although there were Supervisors of other Forbidden Zones, Idan was not personally familiar with them.
Now that he knew the details of the Path of the Beast Lord, Idan realized its value to creatures above rank 7 who could not perfect the Path of the Beast Tamer, which opened up new opportunities for future negotiations.
“By the way, what about Coco?”— Idan couldn’t help but think of his little scoundrel.
Opening the system window, he checked Coco’s status.

Idan’s gaze immediately landed on Coco’s rank.
«Rank 3 Beast Lord…»
“I knew it,” he sighed, closing Coco’s status.
“Now everything was falling into place. Snow, Whitey, and Felicia are Coco’s subordinates who have received Dominion Marks from her. This explained the changes in their bloodlines and their affinity with the Element of Space.”
This also confirmed to Idan that Coco’s true rank surpassed seventh.
Her current rank was suppressed by their ranks.
“I wonder what Coco’s real rank is?” thought Idan, moving towards the entrance to the Kingdom prison.
Soon, he was comfortably ensconced on the couch in Sierra’s office.
The owner of the office sat cross-legged in front of Idan and took a drink out of the drawer and poured it into a glass.
After taking a sip, she asked:
“So, what brings you to me?”
Idan didn’t rush to answer, instead he looked around the room.
Prina was absent, and only Sierra was in the room.
As his mind was filled with guesses about Coco’s origins, upon arriving here, Idan couldn’t help but think of the ugly bird he had left with Sierra.
“Where’s the bird?”
When Idan asked this question, her usual smile disappeared.
“Didn’t I tell you?” she asked, setting her empty glass on the table.
Idan shook his head. He hadn’t heard from the bird since he left it. Even when he visited the prison the last time, he didn’t think about it at all.
“Get up,” Sierra said, getting up from her seat. As soon as Idan got up, she teleported them both to one of the dark rooms of the prison.
“Where are we?” — Idan managed to ask, as he felt a familiar connection with the bird. A wave of euphoria swept over him, but at the same moment, it was as if a huge amount of energy had been sucked out of him, and he staggered, almost falling.
Idan clutched his chest. His heart was racing, and some of his black hair had turned gray.
“Did that thing just take my life force?”
Idan stared in horror at the bird lying on the black pillow.
“Interesting,” — Sierra said thoughtfully, looking from the bird to Idan and back again.
While Idan was trying to catch his breath and realize what had happened, Sierra approached the bird and began to carefully examine its condition.
“What… What did you do to her?”
Sierra raised her head and looked at him, her eyes shining with joy.
“I put her to sleep,” she confessed. “Earlier, I studied the limits of her resurrection ability and found that the more she dies, the stronger she becomes, while gaining some of her killer’s power.”
“During the experiment, I noticed that the more often a bird dies, the stronger its thirst for death becomes. At some point, instead of becoming stronger, she started to degrade.”
Sierra, sharing her observations, turned her gaze back to the ugly bird, whose condition was rapidly improving.
“In the end, I had to put her down to stop this madness, which almost got out of control.”
For a moment, Sierra appeared in the image of a mad scientist in Idan’s eyes.
“And by the way, I couldn’t sign a contract with her,” Sierra admitted with a note of regret, tearing her gaze away from the bird and looking at Idan.
“It seems that the reason for this is the strange connection between you and this bird.”
