Chapter 1190: I want to ask you for help with something
As a result, Sierra was unable to provide any evidence to support her assumption. It was just her observation.
As for System, it was treacherously silent, as if leaving the choice up to him and allowing him to face the consequences of his decision on his own.
For a moment, Idan thought about using the Sphere of Evolution to find out what else this bird could evolve into. What paths of evolution does it have?
However, after thinking about it, he gave up on the idea, fearing that the bird might absorb the newly restored vitality again.
According to Sierra, the bird had not fully recovered yet, and the risk still remained.
“Don’t wake her up and let her fully recover before you do anything,” Idan asked Sierra.
“Sure, I was originally going to let her recover before continuing my experiments,” she agreed.
Having dealt with this issue, Idan leaned back on the sofa and remembered why he had come here.
“Sierra, do you want to leave Limbo and return to Junonia?”
Sierra, who was pouring herself another glass at that moment, stopped abruptly and, looking up, smiled.
“I’ve been waiting for you to ask me about this.”
She raised her glass, took a leisurely sip, and then thoughtfully turned its contents over in her hands.
“To be honest, I like my current life, and I’m not really looking forward to returning to Junonia.”
“Oh!” — Idan was pleasantly surprised.
“What? Didn’t you expect such an answer?” — Sierra smiled, noticing his reaction.
“Honestly? Yes,” Idan nodded.
There was silence in the room.
Sierra took another sip from her glass and continued:
“I am a Dark Valkyrie of Legendary rank, Idan. In Junonia, this is the maximum a Valkyrie can achieve if she’s lucky. The only one above me is the Rank 9 Valkyrie Queen.”
She grinned and looked at the wine in the glass.
“Rulers are rarely so magnanimous as to allow a future threat to develop alongside them.”
Idan narrowed his eyes.
“Are you saying that you wouldn’t have been allowed to reach the ninth rank?”
Sierra smiled, but it came out cold.
“I didn’t enter the dungeons out of a good life and ended up here, Idan. Circumstances forced me to do this.”
It was obvious that Sierra didn’t want to go into details. Under the influence of her words, Idan remembered their first meeting and the state in which Sierra was then.
“If we hadn’t met back then and helped, would she still be alive?” — He thought.
“In short, I don’t have any prospects in Junonia,” Sierra continued. “But that doesn’t mean I won’t come back. I’ll be back. But not now.”
She put the empty glass on the table and added:
“You have opened a new path for me, the Path of Soul Cultivation, and I still have unfinished business in the Lake of the Dead.”
“When I reach the ceiling on the Path of the Beast Tamer here and solve all the problems in the Lake of the Dead, then I can think about returning.”
“In the meantime, I see no reason to rush.”
Idan nodded understandingly and fell into thought, while Sierra took out a new bottle of drink and filled another glass.
Now that he knew Sierra’s position, Idan was kind of glad that she wasn’t in a hurry to leave and was staying here.
This gave him the opportunity to calmly discuss the second reason he had come.
“I want to ask you for help with something,” Idan said, looking at Sierra.
Sierra raised an eyebrow slightly.:
“Oh, and what kind of help?”
“You know about the True Fires, right?”
Of course she knew. Prina didn’t hide anything from her, and besides, she didn’t just sit idly by in her prison, but watched almost every interesting action of Idan.
Sierra nodded, already beginning to guess what he wanted to ask her.
“I want you to help me get all six True Fires,” Idan said, voicing his request.
Sierra smiled when her guess was confirmed.
“I admit, I could use Prina’s help, but since you’re Prina’s Master, I thought it would be best to talk to you.”
Suddenly, Sierra laughed, which caught Idan off guard.
“Hehe, admit it, Prina is getting impudent, isn’t she? What did she demand?” she asked, making him look confused.
His silence and the embarrassment that followed told her she was right.
“Tell me more about these True Lights and why you need them,” Sierra asked, stopping laughing.
Idan smiled a little awkwardly. He was surprised that Geminia, Sierra, and even Milica could guess his thoughts so easily.
At Sierra’s request, he shared with her everything he had learned about the True Lights and why he needed them. He did not hide his desire to possess them and did not conceal the information about his deal with the beasts.
“Okay, I’ll help you,” Sierra said after listening to him.
“But not for free,” she immediately added.
“Sure,” Idan agreed.
“I have instructed Livia and Saeline to gather all the necessary information about the owners of the True Fires. As soon as they’re free, find them,” Idan began to outline his plan.
With the Dominion Marks, these two will become part of the Kingdom.
“I want you to direct their actions, and I hope Geminia doesn’t mind,” he added.
“Livia and Saelina can take over negotiations with those who can be negotiated with. And those with whom it will not be possible to reach an agreement, then they can be provided…”
“Prina,” Sierra interrupted, already understanding Idan’s intent.
Prina was the best choice when it came to suppression, abduction, or even withdrawal of necessary information.
“Okay, you don’t have to continue, I’ll figure it out myself after I talk to those two.”
Sierra was ready to take on the case. Of course, she wasn’t going to do anything herself, but only lead and make decisions. If necessary, she could bring in her other subordinates, including her Doppelganger and the Drowned Princess.
Idan, satisfied that he had achieved his goal, leaned back on the sofa.
Then, remembering the bird, he couldn’t help but ask Sierra:
“Since you failed to sign a contract with the bird, you still haven’t signed your fourth contract, haven’t you?”
“You’re right, I haven’t looked for a replacement for the bird yet,” Sierra confirmed.
Idan thought about it and suggested:
“Have you considered capturing other Rank 6 creatures from the incomplete world of Darkness and Light as your contracts?”
