Chapter 1240: A special cook
Chapter 1240: A special cook
Arabel held two coupons in her hands, looking thoughtful.
“If you’re worried that these pets might arouse romantic feelings in your children, don’t worry,” Tamer said with a smile, settling comfortably into a massage chair.
“These are a special kind of beasts that choose their soulmates, and the sex of the beasts always corresponds to the sex of the child. Your daughter will get a sister, and your son will get a brother.”
“Thank you,” — Arabel said with sincere gratitude, putting away the coupons.
She wasn’t sure yet whether it was worth acquiring such unusual partners for her children, and decided to discuss this issue with her husband before making a final decision.
Tamer nodded and, noticing that it was her turn, got up and went to the massage table.
Alchemist took the vacant chair next to Arabel, and Lustina walked over without hesitation, naked, and sat down in the empty seat.
“Ah, I should have come here a long time ago,” she said with delight, closing her eyes.
“No matter how you look at it, she has a killer figure,” Alchemist remarked, and Arabel couldn’t disagree.
“Arabel,” Alchemist called and handed her a coupon.
Not two, but just one.
“This is the right to purchase fertility pills.”
“Fertility pills?” Arabel accepted the coupon with some embarrassment.
Alchemist nodded with a smile.
“And one more piece of advice, sis. I’m not saying that you should have your next child right away, but don’t put it off too long either. With each new rank, the probability of conception decreases. And given your strength and background, one day even my best pills may be useless.”
Upon hearing this, Arabel became serious and remembered her warning. Then her gaze fell on the coupon.
[Coupon for the purchase of fertility pills from rank 6 to rank 10 from the “Trade” function]
Arabel immediately wondered:
“Does this mean that we can purchase these pills in the ‘Trade’ function without having to upgrade?”
[Yes, Host] — System has confirmed.
After a short pause, it continued:
[Host, all the goods of the Upper Realm are rare and not that common. After the update, the list of available products from rank 6 to 10 will be significantly reduced, and most of them will require special permissions from suppliers.]
Arabel knew that items from rank 6 and above would be available after the upgrade, but what she didn’t know was that not all items would be available by that point.
Now, the “Trade” function offered a wide range of products, creating the illusion that you could find anything here as long as you had System Points.
Arabel thanked her, put the coupon away, and settled comfortably into the massage chair.

“Young master, would you like to have lunch?”
Eighth applied after reading the notification he had just received.
“Now?”
“Yes. A special guest is working in the kitchen today. As far as I know, she came for a few distinguished guests and decided to cook dinner for the rest of the visitors at the same time.”
“A special cook?” he asked.
“That’s right. Our own chef has already ceded the kitchen to her.”
A slight smile appeared on the Young Master’s face.
“Is that so? Then it would be rude to miss such an opportunity.”
When he entered the dining room, accompanied by Eight, most of the tables were already occupied by other special visitors to the Center.
Some were talking, others were waiting for the dishes they had ordered, and others were looking curiously towards the open kitchen, from where delicious smells and short imperious orders could be heard.
There was a young girl sitting among them, who immediately noticed his appearance, and a joyful smile played on her face.
“Eleventh,” she called to her attendant and whispered something in her ear.
Young Master looked around the room, and in the end it wasn’t the kitchen that attracted him.
At the far end of the room was a spacious corner, separated from the rest of the tables by a decorative partition and tall plants. A long table was set there, designed for a large company.
Noticing the direction of the Young Master’s gaze, Eighth hurried to inform:
“This place is reserved for a group of special guests today.”
“Interesting,” he said softly, wondering what kind of group they were.
“Young Master,” Eighth called him.
As he turned to him, he noticed another walker standing next to Eighth.
“The Young Mistress offers to share the table,” Eight said, pointing in the direction of the girl.
When Young Master saw the girl, he frowned slightly, because she seemed familiar to him, but he could not find out where he had seen her before.
Then, following his principle, he decided not to refuse.
“Why not?”
He came over and joined the girl, sitting at her table, which had a good view of the separated part of the room. As soon as the attendant brought them water, the doors opened again.
A woman entered the room.
The soft smile disappeared from the young man’s face. He straightened up, and for the first time genuine amazement was reflected in his eyes.
He recognized her.
Soon the next guest appeared.
Then another one.
Some came alone, others with companions. They were all heading towards the very corner that was designated for the group.
The Young girl looked from the guests to the Young Master and could not understand who these people were and why he was so surprised and tense.
The Young Master, even though he had spent most of his life within his clan, could not help but know the important people of the Systems Faction.
Their images were kept in the closed archives of the Cultivator Faction, their names were mentioned in the instructions of the elders, and information about meetings with them was transmitted directly to the heads of the clans.
Each of the newcomers had a position that could not be taken lightly.
A few more minutes passed. The fenced-off corner was almost completely filled, but no one started lunch. The guests were talking quietly, glancing at the doors from time to time.
“Who are they waiting for?” the Young girl wondered.
The Young Master was wondering the same thing. He recognized almost everyone in the crowd, but he couldn’t imagine who could make all these people patiently wait for their appearance.
At that moment, the doors opened. Noticing the woman who entered, the Young Master suddenly perked up, stood up and waved his hand.
“Charming Lady!” he called out joyfully.
The Young girl followed his gaze and saw a woman with long red hair and azure eyes. She entered accompanied by an employee of the Center, and when she heard a familiar address, she stopped and frowned at the Young Master.
Of course it was Arabel.
The Young Master didn’t realize yet that the person everyone was waiting for was already standing in front of him.
