Chapter 597: Why do all the women I come across turn out to be so beautiful?
“I don’t recall there being a famous Blake family in the Federation.” Idan really couldn’t remember any such family. Moreover, he didn’t know anyone with that last name.
“How confusing everything is getting…” Idan thought, starting to feel a little annoyed by what was happening.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that this father is not dead, but alive.” Idan laughed ironically, and the reason for this, of course, were the four threads that led to four more people connected to him by close blood ties.
The barrier erected by the Blake family’s servant prevented Idan from eavesdropping on their conversation, but he could tell from Anessa’s expression that the conversation wasn’t friendly. Anessa was tense and clearly unhappy with something, while Hans remained calm and confident.
Their conversation didn’t last long, and as soon as the barrier disappeared, Hans suddenly turned towards Idan, who was standing slightly to the side, watching them.
“Young man, you do understand that it’s wrong to pry into other people’s business, right?” said Hans, looking at Idan.
At first, Idan pretended to check if there was anyone next to him, and then, turning to Hans, he asked:
“Oh, are you talking to me?”
Of course, there was no one around Idan, and he knew it perfectly well. The nearest person was about 30 meters away from him.
Anessa, noticing how Hans was talking to Idan, turned her gaze to him.
Idan caught her gaze and saw in it a slight bewilderment that she did not recognize him.
“I’m wearing a Ghost mask.”, — Idan told himself. If it weren’t for the mask, perhaps Anessa would have been able to recognize familiar features in him, similar to those of her or her sister Ivette.
Hans was slightly tense, and his impassive face was slightly distorted.
“How did you know I was following you?” asked Idan. This was somewhat surprising, considering that Hans was only a silver-ranked person, and detecting the surveillance of a higher-ranked being was not an easy task.
Instead of answering Idan’s question, Hans asked his own:
“Who are you?”
“You don’t need to know that,” Idan replied, not wanting to give his name, and turned to Anessa. “Since you’ve finished your business, get out of here, I have a personal conversation with this woman.”
Hans didn’t like Idan’s attitude. He turned to Anessa and asked: “Do you know him?”
Anessa was very surprised and, after a bit of hesitation, shook her head.
“Of course, Miss Anessa doesn’t know who I am,” Idan said with deadpan calm. “But I know her, and I have some personal questions for her.”
“Inessa,” he called through a mental link, pronouncing her real name.
Anessa, hearing a name she hadn’t used in a long time, shuddered and felt a slight fright.
Hans, noticing her reaction, immediately stood in front of her, protecting her from Idan.
“Oh, what does that mean?” asked Idan, raising an eyebrow.
“Stop,” — Anessa said, stopping Hans.
“Who are you and how do you know me?” she asked, stepping forward, bypassing Hans.
“Who I am doesn’t matter yet. But I know everything about you. About your sister Ivette and the fact that you’ve been presumed dead for a long time, but you’re standing in front of me alive, hiding under an assumed name,” Idan replied, also using a mental link.
Every word Idan said touched on feelings that Anessa had been trying to forget ever since she changed her name. She was extremely surprised and at the same time confused.
“Let’s find a place where we can talk in peace?” Idan suggested.
It took Anessa a while to recover.
“Okay, I’ll go with you,” she agreed, interested in Idan’s words.
“No, you’re not going anywhere with him,” Hans instantly grabbed Anessa by the arms and tried to pull her back.
“Let me go,” Anessa demanded, trying to free herself, but the grip of the silver-ranked man was too strong for her.
Suddenly, Anessa heard a crunch, and Hans’s grip loosened. She managed to free herself, but the suddenness of her movements almost caused her to fall. Somehow she managed to stay on her feet and ran away from him.
Hans looked at his broken arm in disbelief. He didn’t understand what had happened or who had broken his arm.
Suddenly, something invisible grabbed him by the throat and forcefully dragged him to the side.
“I warned you, old man,” said Idan, pulling Hans to him and holding him by the throat with the Soul Force, staring intently into his eyes.
Hans was not at a loss. His eyes lit up red, and, opening his mouth, he released a jet of fire towards Idan, hoping to use surprise and free himself.
However, to his surprise, the grip on his throat did not loosen.
When the fire disappeared, he saw a guy standing quietly, hands in his pockets, grinning into his eyes.
“Use fire against me? I’ve never seen anything so stupid,” Idan laughed, although he was very surprised by this outcome.
“Not the element of Light, but the element of fire?” he asked himself.
“Tell me, Hans, the dog of the Blake family, are you in such a hurry to die or what?” asked Idan.
Hans’s eyes widened in horror when he realized that not only was this young man not an ordinary Awakened, but he was also able to find out who he was.
“You’re too old to reach the silver rank, and under the current circumstances, it’s impossible without outside help,” Idan continued. “Who helped you achieve the silver rank?”
Hans remained silent, but inside his emotions were not quite right.
“If you’re the Blake family’s dog, does that mean the Blake family is related to outsiders?” asked Idan, tilting his head.
Idan, watching Hans, who stubbornly remained silent, decided not to let him go. He intended to capture the old man and imprison him in the Kingdom, and then ask Sierra or Irene to read his memories.
However, before Idan could open the Access Portal and lead the old man away, a powerful Soul Force pressure descended on him, which caused him to bend his knees slightly in surprise.
“Let him go!” a clear female voice rang out.
Turning around, Idan saw another beautiful woman with fiery long hair and mesmerizing red eyes, dressed in an elegant red dress.
“Why do all the women I come across turn out to be so beautiful?” thought Idan with slight irritation.
His Eyes of Identification immediately activated.

Idan’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw the description of the woman, but then they lit up.
