Chapter 628: How is he?
Chapter 628: How is he?
During the day, the Doppelganger’s efforts created a cozy, well-lit square for the guests.
Arabel, using her power, changed the entrance, and all the guests, one by one, began to appear in this equipped place.
There was also a small shop where Edgar and the twins prepared light snacks for everyone at Arabel’s request.
When everyone entered the portal, Arabel was the last to enter.
"I’ll leave the rest to you," she said, turning to Irene and the others.
"Okay, we’ll sort it out, you can go now," Irene nodded.
Leaving the guests in the care of Irene and the others, Arabel teleported to her house, where another group had gathered.
This group consisted of Idan and Arabel’s close people, as well as Leo’s family.
Arabel was surprised to see that Ina, Idan’s younger sister, quickly found a common language with Laura, Leo’s younger sister. They were deep in conversation, sitting together while the rest of the adults, including Leo’s older brother, were chatting with each other on the terrace.
After greeting everyone, Arabel went to the guest room where Nemo and Lina were.
At the entrance to the room, she was greeted by a Nanny puppet, standing silently on guard.
The Nanny did not stop Arabel when she knocked on the door first and only then entered the room.
"I came to tell you that everything will start soon," she said as soon as she crossed the threshold.
"Okay, we’re ready,"
— Nemo said through a mental link, putting on the mask Arabel had given him.Lina, with a slight smile on her face and Izzy in her arms, stood up and nodded, agreeing with Nemo.
"Great," — Arabel said when she was sure they were ready. Taking them with her and not forgetting the Babysitter, she teleported to the place where the third group had already gathered, namely where Idan was.
"There they are," Esma said with a smile when she saw Arabel, Nemo, and Lina.
Lina, noticing the Valkyries, first tensed up and hugged Izzy tighter. But, remembering Nemo’s words that these Valkyries helped him and took care of her daughter, she pulled herself together and took a step forward herself.
Lina walked over to Sierra and the others and lowered her head.
"I would like to apologize for my behavior and thank you for taking care of Izzy all this time," she said.
"I understand you in a way, so your apologies are accepted," Sierra said. "As for Izzy, the baby is dear to us all, so you don’t have to thank us for her care."
And no one present who knew about Izzy denied her words. Izzy was unique, and everyone who knew about her was willing to take care of her without exception.
"How is he?" — Arabel asked, walking over to Lucinda, who was watching Idan and Elira.
"Most of the injuries have healed, but it’s not easy to deal with the energy of a Rank 6 creature," Lucinda replied. "Until we get rid of it, his arm and eyes won’t fully recover."
Arabel’s heart sank with concern for Idan. Listening to Lucinda’s words, she looked at him sitting inside the barrier of the artifact of the Sphere of Secret Concealment, where time flowed in slow motion.
Most of his wounds had healed, but due to the energy of a Rank 6 creature, Idan’s body was covered in scars and welts. His right arm never recovered, as did his right eye, although the wound healed, the eye itself remained damaged.
"Okay, let’s move him to Limbo," Arabel said, sticking to the plan. "Essora, you did a great job, you can stop the effect of the Sphere."
Essora, slightly tired, wiped her sweat with a smile and, upon hearing Arabel’s command, canceled the effect of the artifact, thereby removing the area of delayed time.
"Huh? What?" — Elira was surprised when she saw the barrier disappear.
Idan continued to breathe calmly, his eyes were closed, and he was still unconscious.
"That’s it, Elira, your end of the bargain is done," Arabel said, walking over to Idan and crouching down in front of him.
Her mood instantly improved when she noticed that his condition had improved significantly compared to yesterday.
Elira didn’t know what to say. She watched Arabel in silence and saw her smile and sigh with relief. There was concern and sincere affection in her eyes. It was not an ostentatious display of feelings, but came from the very heart.
Elira looked at Idan, and in her heart there was no longer the anger she felt when they first met and for the fact that he kidnapped her.
Then her gaze turned to the others.
When her eyes met Lucinda’s, she remembered Lucinda’s words. Lucinda said that in order to fully restore this young man, they would have to transfer him to another world and take him to a place rich in the element of fire.
This, of course, caught her attention.
Elira glanced at Arabel and opened her mouth to speak, but at the last moment she restrained herself. She remembered that she only had one request, and she didn’t want to waste it.
"Do you want to say something?" Arabel asked, who hadn’t lost sight of Elira all this time, so she noticed it.
"That’s... no..." — Elira hesitated, not knowing if she should speak.
But after a short pause, she still said:
"I was wondering if you could take me to another world with you? But then I remembered that I have only one request..."
Arabel frowned and looked at Lucinda, noticing her smile. She realized that it was Lucinda who shared this information with Elira.
"Why do you want to go there?" asked Arabel.
"I would like to see a place rich in the element of fire, where you are going to take this young man," admitted Elira. She was telling the truth. She was wondering if this place could help her cultivate.
"Unfortunately, there are no places in your world with a lot of fire that would match my rank and could contribute to my cultivation. In my home world, all such places are already occupied by various factions, and it is very difficult to access them," she explained.
Arabel looked at Elira carefully, trying to figure out if there was any hidden meaning in her words, but she found nothing suspicious.
After a short thought, Arabel checked that in order to help Elira get into Limbo, she would need to spend 1,000 System Points in one direction. After weighing the pros and cons, she said:
"Okay, we’ll take you with us." In order to establish a relationship with Elira and establish trusting contact with her, Arabel decided to spend 1,000 points. As for whether they would be needed to bring Elira back, she decided to think about it later, already on the other side.
