Chapter 646: Another awakening in the Lava Lake
Chapter 646: Another awakening in the Lava Lake
Idan did not know how many days he had been unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he found himself swimming in the Lava Lake again.
“Did I really dream all this?” he thought, slightly puzzled.
He felt like everything that had happened to him was just a dream. The events he had experienced since the last time he had woken up in the Lava Lake seemed unreal.
The changes in bloodlines, the return to the capital, the acquisition of a territory and a personal home, the candlelit dinner and the realization that the mother he had considered his own all his adult life was actually his aunt, as well as the subsequent meeting with his own mother and younger sister — all this seemed like a dream.
And, of course, the most vivid event in his thoughts was the upcoming wedding with Arabel, the girl he loved.
“I wish this wasn’t a dream,” Idan thought, remembering everything that had happened, and said these words out loud.
He had doubts about all this because he clearly felt the presence of his right hand and could see clearly with both eyes.
Floating in liquid lava as if in hot water, he turned around and saw an elf girl who was looking at him with a smile.
“Master?” said Idan in surprise, recognizing Milica, who was sitting on the edge of the lava.
As he remembered, the last time he woke up, Lucinda was next to him.
“Who did you expect to see?” Milica asked with a smile.
“Belle…” Idan replied without hesitation.
“Unfortunately, Arabel returned to her world after staying here for a while,” Milica replied.
“Oh!” said Idan, slightly surprised, and muttered, “So everything that happened wasn’t a dream?”
It was only now that he realized that his right eye and right arm were missing.
However, the most amazing thing was that due to the abundance of the fire element, all his other wounds had healed, and he didn’t feel a bit of pain.
Idan also noticed that he had no clothes, just like last time, he was swimming naked in the Lava Lake.
He recalled the events of that day and his conversation with Arabel. This time, following the promises made, he carefully felt the bottom of the lake and, having made sure of its depth, got to his feet, plunging into the lava up to chest level.
“Hehehe,” — Milica giggled, watching Idan’s actions. “Don’t worry, Arabel carefully chose this deep enough place and made sure that your body didn’t float completely so that no one could see your body.”
Idan only smiled awkwardly in response, but deep down he was grateful to Arabel.
Now, standing in the lava, he felt weak, just like last time. Although he had healed, his body was still not in the best shape.
After revealing his status, Idan sighed again. He saw that his stats had weakened again, and realized the reason for his weakness.
This time, without waiting for the System’s prompts, Idan transformed into an Alpha of Fire first, and then assumed his Spirit Form.
Milica’s eyes lit up when she saw Idan taking on his Spirit Form. This was the first time she had seen her disciple’s Spirit Form. Before that, she had only seen Arabel in her Spirit Form, and Idan had never shown his, even though he was the first to gain it.
After assuming his Spirit Form, Idan, as before, focused on his body, which was now completely created from the energy of fire.
But before he could properly examine his new body, a spark of lightning ran through him, and he froze in place, unable to move.
“What’s going on?” — Idan was surprised, and Milica, who was watching him, immediately became serious.
Sparks of lightning began to fly out of his body, destroying his fiery body, which scared Idan very much.
“Don’t panic, Idan, concentrate!” shouted Milica. “These are the remnants of the energy of a Rank 6 creature that has already established a connection with the Domain. It is this energy that prevents you from fully recovering, and now the remnants are trying to finish what they started!”
Idan found himself in a difficult position. He misjudged the situation, thinking that everything would be the same as last time.: He just needs to get rid of the remaining energy of a sixth-rank creature. However, last time, his body contained the energy of the Queen, a sixth—rank being who had not yet managed to create her Domain, unlike the Valkyrie, who already had a connection with the Domain.
When Idan heard his Master’s words, the first thing he did was collect his thoughts and suppress his panic.
“Remember, Idan, you are in a place rich in fire element, which is perfect for your Spirit Form. And as long as you have it, you won’t just die,” Milica added, giving Idan additional confidence.
“Master is right,” Idan agreed, and began a confrontation with the energy of a sixth—rank being in his body, seeking to suppress it.
He was surprised that all this lightning energy accumulated in his body only started moving when he assumed his Spirit Form.
Then Idan remembered how the Lightning Valkyrie had suppressed and dispelled his Spirit Form, and realized that it was the remnants of that ability that were now trying to suppress him again.
The lightning sparks not only struck his body, hampering his movements, but also penetrated his mind, deafening and confusing. Because of this, Idan couldn’t fully focus on his task.
Milica, believing in Idan, silently watched him, not wanting to interfere. She was ready to step in at any moment if the situation became critical.
Besides Milica, a small dragon was watching Idan’s suffering from afar. He smiled at his pain and laughed, blowing bubbles in the lava.
Idan tried his best, but the lightning was so fast that he couldn’t keep up with it. Even using Ghost Stats to increase his agility and at least try to keep an eye on the lightning didn’t help much.
However, as time passed, he noticed that the speed of the lightning was decreasing. After several attempts, he finally managed to catch one spark and squeeze it. But before he could be happy, it was gone.
“Huh?” said Idan, surprised. It was only belatedly that he realized that the System had taken this energy, just as it had done with the Queen’s energy.
Smiling, Idan noticed other lightning sparks and, inspired, began to catch them. Soon he managed to catch the second spark, but when he squeezed it, it disappeared again.
The second was followed by a third, and then a fourth.
It seemed to Idan that the speed of the lightning decreased as he caught it, but in fact it remained unchanged from the very beginning.
Eventually, Idan noticed something incredible. The remaining two lightning sparks, which were originally purple in color, began to merge with his own flames, taking on a purple-orange hue.
