Chapter 650: Formless and Uniqum

Chapter 650: Formless and Uniqum

Idan felt very creepy and uncomfortable looking at these red cocoons and feeling the raging energy of madness around him.

"The Formless ones are unique creatures; they have no gender separation. Like spirits, they are born in two different ways. The first one is directly from nature itself," Geminia continued.

"In all of Junonia, there is only one place where representatives of this race are born - the mysterious island located between Ludelia and Magelia."

"I must say right away that you will not be able to find the location of this island on any of the existing maps," Geminia said, turning to Idan and smiling, looking at his reaction, without being surprised at the same time.

"And the second way, besides being born on this mysterious island, like Spirits, Formless, without gender separation, can reproduce by division," — Geminia added.

"Reproduction by division?" Idan asked. Then, looking at the wisps of energy floating in the air, he realized a terrifying theory.

"I think you’ve already guessed," — Geminia smiled. "These are all future Perfect Doppelgangers who were born from me by division."

Idan stared wide-eyed at Geminia, who was smiling at him affably as usual.

"I don’t need a partner to continue my race. All I need is the energy to do this, specifically the Energy of Madness," she explained.

"All the Perfect Doppelgangers in the Forest of Doppelgangers were born directly by dividing from myself," she continued.

"And those whom you call Talkers are Doppelgangers, born by dividing from Perfect Doppelgangers.

And the Mutes are those who were born of Talkers."

"The entire race known to you as the Doppelgangers originates from me. I am the first Doppelganger born in Junonia," Geminia said proudly. "And among all my descendants, there is only one who is almost my perfect copy, having no flaws like the rest."

"Kitty?" Idan whispered, and Geminia nodded with a smile.

"In my entire life, I’ve only managed to produce one like myself."

Idan was silent for a while, trying to process what he had heard and deal with the shock.

"But Geminia, didn’t you say that you were born among the Formless race?" Idan couldn’t help but notice this in Geminia’s story.

"Yes, and I didn’t lie. I was indeed born among the Formless race, and to some extent I am a part of that race. However, I was born Uniqum," Geminia replied.

"Uniqum?" repeated Idan, not quite understanding.

"Yes, in Junonia, representatives of races who are born with any serious abnormalities and are strikingly different from their relatives are called Uniqum," Geminia explained.

"And sometimes people who are so different from others are simply called defective, freaks, and so on," she added.

"I suppose you want to know more about this Formless race and why they are so special and important compared to others?" she asked.

Idan nodded, eager to hear the answer.

"Their special feature lies in their only ability, which they possess from birth — the ’Perfect Partner,’" Geminia admitted. "The very existence of the Formless race and the purpose of their existence, their mission in life, are based on this single ability they possess."

"The goal of all the Formless Ones is to prevent any race of Junonia from becoming extinct and disappearing."

"To achieve this, they choose a representative of the race they want to help, and using their one and only "Perfect Partner" ability, they transform into the opposite sex of that race to help continue the race."

"If the chosen target is a woman, then the Formless One takes the form of a man from that race, and if the target is a man, then he turns into a woman."

"All the Formless ones firmly believe that this is the will of Junonia, and they are truly fanatical about this idea," Geminia said with a hint of disgust, not sharing this idea.

"It is for this reason that many races and beings value and protect this race," she continued.

"Almost all powerful higher races have partners from the Formless race, and therefore this race has numerous connections with various powerful races," she concluded.

"I was born as a result of dividing one of the Formless Ones and was born Uniqum. My difference was in the mutated ability of the Formless Ones—the "Perfect Partner", which became the basis for my own race of Doppelgangers."

"Unlike the Formless Ones, I could copy and change my race as much as I wanted. While once they took on the form of another race, the Formless Ones could not return to their true nature or even take on a new form, remaining in the form of the chosen race for the rest of their lives, completely devoting themselves to this race."

"Being Uniqum, I almost immediately became the enemy of my entire race. And the worst part was that my uniqueness was the envy not only of my race, but also of other races. Many races tried to get me and my ability, but in the end, no one managed to achieve their goal."

"And by becoming the enemy of this race, I am, in fact, the enemy of almost all of Junonia," Geminia admitted ironically.

Idan was at a loss, not knowing what to say to everything he had heard. Without a doubt, the Formless race was amazing. He looked at Geminia, who, as always, was smiling, staring into the void in front of her.

After Geminia finished telling her story about her origins, she looked at Idan.

"You’re one of the few people I’ve shared this story with. I did it partly for Ned’s sake, so that you would understand exactly what you are signing up for by entering into an alliance with him and me," she said with a smile.

"Besides, I feel like Ned will become someone more than me and Kitty right now. The same can be said about Bera, who, under Arabel’s influence, also began to slowly change."

"And of course, one of the main reasons is that if you and Arabel continue to help Nemo and help him gain the Throne of the World King, you will most likely encounter the Formless race," Geminia’s voice became serious as she said these words.

"As far as I know, every World King, despite having partners, at the Will of Junonia, he will have a partner in the Formless race. This is necessary so that the King’s line is not interrupted," she added.

"So Nemo, if he becomes the World King in the future, he will have a partner from the Formless race who will take on the appearance of his race! The races of the Rain Clan."

After saying that, Geminia stopped for a split second, then for some reason she laughed, finding it all a bit funny.

Noticing Idan’s puzzled look, she added, slightly shocking him:

"I was just amused by the thought that the Formless One would take on the appearance of the Rain Clan race, a race whose founder, like my own race, is a Uniqum."
