Chapter 673: What’s going on here?
In the morning, the Kingdom was in turmoil. Work was in full swing here all night: active construction work and preparations for the upcoming wedding of the owners of this place, Idan and Arabel, were underway.
It all started last night, when portals suddenly began to open in the Kingdom, from which strange humanoid creatures appeared, previously unknown to anyone. They found a vacant space not far from Idan and Arabel’s house, fenced it off and began actively building something.
After them, other amazing creatures began to come out of the portals. Since Idan and Arabel weren’t around, Anna and the other residents of the Kingdom sent Ina to fetch Irene and Arslan.
By the time Irene and Arslan arrived, everyone who was in the Kingdom at that time had gathered at Idan and Arabel’s house. They were actively discussing what was happening.
“What’s going on here?” asked Irene, appearing with Arslan and watching in surprise the changes taking place in the Kingdom.
“We don’t know. They suddenly appeared and started doing all this without any explanation,” Anna replied.
Irene frowned, and then, remembering what was happening outside the Kingdom, she suspected that it all had something to do with her younger brother and Arabel.
So she decided to look into the situation.
“Stay here and don’t approach them, I’ll go and find out what’s going on,” Irene said with concern in her voice.
“Okay, you should be careful too,” Ivette said, anxiously watching her daughter.
The others, sharing her concern, nodded in agreement.
But as soon as Irene and Arslan took a step towards the mysterious creatures, they heard the voices of their Systems.
[Host, this is the work of your brother’s System]
“Eh? What?” Irene, like Arslan, asked her System in surprise.
[Host, have you already forgotten your conversation with your brother and sister-in-law about why they are in such a hurry to get married?]
Thanks to the prompting of their Systems, Irene and Arslan remembered their conversation with Idan and Arabel.
[They have an Epic System with Uniqueness. A System that is still not fully activated. To activate it fully, your brother and sister-in-law need to get married. It’s a kind of ritual that they both have to go through to activate their System.]
[It looks like something serious has happened since their System started acting on its own and started preparing for the wedding so unexpectedly]
The Systems of Irene and Arslan, knowing well what kind of System Idan and Arabel have and how unique and well-known it is among other “Supreme” Systems, did not doubt their assumptions.
After all, only “Supreme” Systems are capable of such actions, which keep in touch with each other and can interact.
The words of their own Systems not only did not calm Irene and Arslan, but also increased their anxiety for their loved ones.
“Don’t worry, they’re not dangerous. Just don’t get close to them and don’t bother them,” Irene said, turning to the others, then hurried back to observe what was happening outside.
“Arslan,” Anna called to her son, who was about to follow Irene.
“Tell me, what’s going on?” asked Anna, noticing the changes in the mood of Irene and her son. Knowing them, she knew that something important had happened outside.
“Mom, it looks like my sister and Idan’s wedding has been postponed to an earlier date,” Arslan replied, attracting everyone’s attention.
“Let me explain it clearly: all awakened ones have unique powers. My sister and Idan turned out to have the same power between them, and in order for it to be fully revealed, they need to get married,” Arslan explained the existence of the Systems without going into details.
“The Third Disaster is just around the corner, and no one knows what awaits us. Therefore, my sister and Idan decided to get married before this disaster began, in order to face it in full force,” he continued.
Noticing that Irene had already returned to the Capital, Arslan hastened to add:
“However, something happened today that changed their plans and pushed the wedding day to an earlier date.”
“Don’t ask me exactly what happened, because I don’t know all the details yet. All I know is that a real Dragon appeared in the Capital, and my sister and Idan went there to stop it,” Arslan said, lying a little.
He couldn’t admit that Arabel had fallen into a trap, and Idan had gone to rescue her right in front of his mother and Idan’s mothers.
“So wait for the news and do not leave the Kingdom in any case,” Arslan said.
Before the others could ask him questions, he left them and hurried back.

When Irene and Arslan returned to the Kingdom’s branch in the Capital, they witnessed Idan openly declaring himself the leader of the Kingdom Guild. They were also amazed by the cruelty shown by Ned and Bera.
The others were as shocked as Irene and Arslan when they saw how ruthless Ned and Bera could be.
“It’s their nature,” Irene said, drawing everyone’s attention. “Most of you have already signed a contract with Perfect Doppelgangers, so you will have to accept this. And don’t forget to help your Doppelgangers let off steam from time to time.”
Irene almost repeated the same words her brother Idan told her after she witnessed Bera’s ruthless and insane side.
In addition, Irene emphasized how dedicated the Doppelgangers are and what sacrifices they are willing to make for their masters. She cited the example of Ned, who without hesitation gave his life to help Idan and Arabel escape from a sixth-rank being.
Her words made the same impression on those around her as the words Idan had told her earlier. This made them take a fresh look at the doppelgangers’ actions and take them more seriously.
Thanks to Leo’s ability, Irene and the others were able to observe everything from different perspectives. They even noticed the appearance of their acquaintances.
Irene, looking at her brother’s battle, felt very bad. She realized how weak she was now and could only watch the events, unable to help.
At that moment, she made the decision to become stronger so as not to be a burden to her brother. She wanted to be there with them, not here, as a mere observer.
From all these thoughts, she clenched her fists tighter and bit her lips until they bled.
It was only when Arslan took her hands that she relaxed and, looking at him, saw his determination to become stronger, sharing her thoughts.
The appearance of the four Arabels took Irene and the others by surprise, and everyone stared at them with wide eyes and open mouths.
For a long time, no one said a word.
Until Hazel, seeing Idan and four Arabels disappear behind the black dome, blurted out:
“What the hell was that?”
Of course, no one knew what to answer, because this phrase was spinning in everyone’s head.
