Chapter 794: That's to be expected

"Come in," Sofia invited the waiting waitresses. Then she looked around at the visitors.

Sofia made the final decision and, looking at everyone, announced: "I'm sorry, but as of today, the eatery is no longer open and will most likely not open again."

"Huh? What? Why is that?" — the visitors were worried, bombarding her with questions.

"I'm moving to another city," Sofia said, without going into details.

"But I do not rule out that in the future I will return here and open a new restaurant. All of you who have been with me since the beginning will be the first to know about this," she added before closing the door of her establishment.

Once inside, Sofia and her mother Valeria approached the waitresses to get their opinion.

Of the four waitresses, only one refused, while the rest agreed to follow Sofia and her mother.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" Sofia asked the waitress, who declined.

"I'm sorry, but I've already made a decision and I've already started looking for another job," she replied with genuine sadness in her voice. Sofia did not insist on making her decision.

While Sofia was chatting with the waitresses, Arabel, lost in thought, silently watched Darkia devouring the dishes that Idan had prepared yesterday at Arabel's request.

She was distracted by Beatrice, who had just finished talking on the phone.

"Arthur?" — Arabel asked, looking up at Beatrice.

"Yes, that's him," Beatrice nodded. "He said he discussed it with the head of the Royce family."

Beatrice paused, but seeing that Arabel was waiting, she continued:

"The family does not object to cooperation, but for now they have decided to refrain from any action."

"Let me guess, are they afraid of the upcoming Third Disaster?" Arabel asked, and Beatrice nodded, confirming her guess.

"Yes, the time has almost come, and the family has decided to survive the Third Disaster first and only then think about cooperation."

"That's to be expected," Arabel said, not too surprised by the Royce family's decision. "I'm sure the Royce family is probably confident that they will survive, but they're not sure if our Guild will survive."

"What are you talking about?" Beatrice couldn't understand what Arabel meant when she said that the Royce family wasn't sure if the Kingdom Guild would survive the Third Calamity.

"You don't have to worry about that," Arabel said, and then, looking at Beatrice, she asked: "Tell me, did Arthur ask you to stop following me and come back?"

Beatrice, slightly surprised, nodded at Arabel's question.

"Hmm," — Arabel chuckled. "And you're going to leave?"

Beatrice didn't know how to answer this question.

"After everything you saw and heard yesterday, do you think I'm going to let you go?" Beatrice heard Arabel ask, lost in thought.

"Huh?" she asked, looking at Arabel incredulously.

"Since you crossed the threshold of the Kingdom, you have become a part of it, and therefore you cannot just leave," Arabel announced, looking at the astonished Beatrice.

"As one of the influential families, the Royce family should have heard that in the upcoming Third Calamity, creatures from other worlds will probably target you," Darkia commented after finishing all the dishes faster than usual.

"You weren't just bragging," Darkia said, looking at Arabel. "Your husband really cooks delicious, even better than you."

"Well, that goes without saying," Arabel smiled, pleased that Darkia appreciated and praised her husband's skill.

"You're right, a family like Royce must have their own connections, and they might have found out about something like this," Arabel agreed, echoing Darkia's thoughts. "Especially since, apart from you, the others don't know much about our true capabilities."

"Don't look at me like that," Darkia said with a big smile. "Rest assured, I have not shared information about you with anyone, much less your memories and secrets, and I have no intention of doing so."

Knowing about the ability of creatures of Darkness to read the memories of others, Arabel was in no hurry to let Beatrice go in order to keep the secrets of the Kingdom and ensure her safety. Moreover, Arabel initially did not want to let Beatrice go, seeing her as a potential valuable subordinate.

After giving Beatrice time to realize her new situation, Arabel found out that she lives alone, and the only relative is her older brother, who has his own family and lives separately. After waiting for Sofia and her mother to pack their things and be ready to leave, Arabel opened the Access Portal and returned everyone to the Kingdom.

As for the waitresses who agreed to follow Sofia, Arabel decided to come for them in the evening when she went to meet with the "zero" Host of the Dark System.

Upon returning to the Kingdom, Arabel, as promised, sought out her mother and retreated with her to the second floor of her house, in her parents' bedroom.

Arabel, who had experienced something similar before, was more relaxed this time, sitting on her parents' bed.

Her mother Anna, with an expectant smile on her face, sat across from her, ready to listen.

Arabel sighed.

"What do you want to hear?" she asked her mother.

"How is your relationship going?" Anna asked. "Did you follow my advice?"

Of course, Anna wanted to know about her daughter's nightlife. Now that her daughter had matured and had already tasted the forbidden fruit, Anna, who had no one with whom she could share or discuss this aspect of family life, could no longer resist this conversation.

Anna's question made Arabel remember their second night, which began with a shared bath and gradually turned into a torrent of passion.

That night, as on the first, Arabel completely trusted her husband, focusing on pleasure. Idan, as on their wedding night, did not disappoint, completely satisfying her.

Arabel, who was embarrassed to discuss this topic, nevertheless began to talk under the pressure of Anna, trying not to go into details and describing everything in general terms.

However, even this information was enough for Anna to imagine how things were going, thanks to her experience of fighting Richard at night.

"So you were passive again?" asked Anna, after listening to her daughter.

Arabel, her face flushed, nodded.

"Eh..." sighed Anna, slightly disappointed.

Arabel, on the other hand, slightly raised her eyes and looked at her mother, remembering the third night with her husband, when she was no longer passive, but became a real predator.
