Chapter 861: Nine groups

Chapter 861: Nine groups

Although the Disaster hadn't happened yet, and no one knew what to expect from this Third Disaster, the Federation and the Awakened Association had begun to act in advance.

This time, the forces weren't scattered all over the world.

All the resources of the Federation and the Association were focused on ensuring the safety of the entire Central continent.

In the last Disaster, the northeastern part of the Federation suffered the most compared to other regions. The population and the number of cities there have decreased significantly. Therefore, the main forces of the Federation and the Association were sent to the more densely populated areas of the southern and western parts of the continent.

However, this did not mean that east and north were forgotten.

The military and some of the Awakened Ones from the Association were sent to protect these territories.

"Hmm..." — Deep in thought, Arabel studied the holographic map of the Federation that Leo had prepared for her in the spacious living room of her and Idan's house.

A smile lit up her face as she recalled a recent conversation with Idan when they were lying in each other's arms in bed.

"So you're going to lock me up in the Kingdom?" Arabel asked with a smile, raising an eyebrow.

"If you give me a reason for that, then yes," Idan replied.

Arabel stared at him intently, narrowing her eyes as if trying to see through him, but then she smiled and clung to him even tighter.

"Don't worry, I won't give you a reason," she said. "I'm not going to leave the Kingdom myself until I give birth."

"But that doesn't mean I can't help you," — Arabel added.

"What are you talking about?" This time, Idan looked at her carefully, trying to understand her intention.

"Of course, I will also take part in the coming Disaster," she said with a mischievous smile. "But not me, but my avatar."

"Ah..." — Idan remembered the Avatar ability that only the two of them possessed.

"While my Avatar is operating outside the Kingdom, Leo and I will monitor the situation from here and inform you," Arabel shared her thoughts.

"Didn't I tell you that you're smart?" Idan praised her, making her even happier.

He himself has already considered the idea of using Avatars, but has not yet voiced it, bearing in mind the current state of Bera.

It seems that Bera's problem was not so serious for Arabel.

Remembering yesterday's conversation with her husband, Arabel turned her gaze back to the map of the Federation. A part of the northern and eastern lands and the territory between them were divided into nine parts.

After lengthy discussions, Idan and the rest of the Guild members came to the decision to divide all its members into nine groups. Each of these groups will be responsible for cities located within one of the nine territories.

Each group was led by those who had signed contracts with Perfect Doppelgangers. Among them were Irene, Arslan, Felicia, Esma, Hazel, Yulaya and Hailey, the first of those who managed to sign such contracts.

And together with Yara and Nayla, who also achieved success and received Geminia's permission to conclude contracts with Perfect Doppelgangers, their number reached nine.

There was also Milena, who had a contract with a Perfect Doppelgangers, but she still hadn't returned from the capital.

Idan suggested that she stay in the capital to observe the actions of the Federation and the Association. Considering Milena's stealth abilities, everyone agreed with his suggestion.

Idan himself went east, Arabel's avatar went north, and Ned stayed in Nordist. These three were the key figures of the Guild and were ready to come to the aid of any of the nine groups if necessary.

Esma also took on this role, but due to the fact that she also became the leader of one of the groups, her opportunities were limited only to providing assistance, if necessary, to the two closest groups, which included her younger sisters Yulaya and Hazel.

Taking her eyes off the screen, Arabel raised her right hand and gently touched the finger on which her ring had been emblazoned until today. Before, she hadn't noticed its presence and regularly used its power, but now that the ring was gone, she couldn't stop thinking about it.

Despite the absence of the ring, Arabel was confident that she could open an Access Portal from the Kingdom without it. In addition, through the connection with her avatar, she knew that her Avatar would be able to use the ring that was now hanging on her finger and gain access to the Kingdom.

"As an item donated by the System, it can't be simple," Arabel whispered.

At the same time, she recalled Idan's words about how, despite the severed hand on which the ring hung, and his thoughts that he had lost it, it miraculously returned to its place as soon as Idan restored the hand.

Then her attention shifted to the three translucent windows that hung nearby. They had three chats open at once, and messages were continuously coming in.

The first chat was called the "Kingdom Guild Chat". Everyone who had already received one of the 50 talismans communicated in it.

The second chat, with the provocative name "Queens and Empresses", was created for the female half of the Kingdom's Guild.

Previously, this chat had a different name, but after all the women started using pseudonyms with the prefixes "Queen" and "Empress", someone took and renamed it, and most liked this option, and it was decided to leave it for now.

The third chat was created very recently. It consisted of nine group leaders, Idan, Leo, and Arabel herself. This special chat was solely for discussing the situation during the Third Disaster.

While Arabel was getting used to her new role, a charming woman in priestess's robes with long blonde hair entered the living room.

Arabel looked up from her work and looked at her.:

"Reset?"

"Yes, it just happened," Lucinda replied, looking curiously at the big screen.

"Has it started yet?" she asked.

"Not yet," — Arabel replied. "But the preparations are in full swing."

"Okay, I'll be by your side from now on," Lucinda announced, settling comfortably into one of the chairs. She also picked up one of the talismans and opened two chats.

"Thank you, big sister," — Arabel said.

Although it was still too early to worry, she understood that her older sisters would not back down from their concern.

Sierra, due to her problem with the element of death, decided not to approach Arabel for now, but she still stayed inside the Kingdom in case someone broke through the barrier, as it was the last time.

Esma was outside the Kingdom, so only Lucinda remained by her side, who took responsibility for her well-being.
