Chapter 910: I think that's enough
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Breaking through floor after floor, the Guardian of Light and Ned, having reached the roof of the branch building, soared high into the sky, leaving behind two long plumes: one light and the other pink.
Although their rank was still limited to Platinum, their strength was already beyond that level. The cramped space of the building was too small for a battle of this magnitude.
Having risen high enough, the Guardian turned around and, using the dominant Soul Force, tried to suppress Ned. At the same time, she rushed forward, turning into a ray of light and clutching her light spear.
The Soul Force of the Guardian of Light only momentarily restrained Ned's movements, and he, having freed himself, managed to put out his spear in response.
Boom!
The force of the impact sent Ned flying backwards, scattering the clouds. Spreading his wings, he managed to slow down, but numerous spears of light immediately flew at him, which he deftly dodged.
The Guardian of Light's spells flew far away and fell outside the city, causing quite a bit of destruction.
Ned couldn't stop smiling.
His blood was burning inside.
He loved it all.
He loved this battle.
As she watched her opponent easily dodge her attacks, the Guardian began to suspect that, like herself, her opponent was a Diamond—ranked being whose rank was suppressed by the limitations of this world.
She couldn't explain his incredible strength otherwise.
Even with these limitations, her Soul Force could easily suppress Platinum-ranked creatures, but it took this guy a moment to free himself and ignore her suppression.
The Guardian of Light did not suspect that thanks to the First Constellation, not only the "Soul Force" of Ned, but also the Soul Forces of the Dragon and Pulsar, resonating with each other, become stronger.
This makes their Soul Force more powerful than other beings of the same rank.
Below, inside the dilapidated building, Pulsar was in a rage, trying to find his enemies.
The thick and scalding steam coming from the water not only cooled the white-hot metal skeleton of the Pulsar, but also served as a chaotic conductor of lightning, quickly dissipating its energy.
Due to the thick steam created not only by his own power, but also by the power of the Creature of Water, Pulsar could not see clearly. Furthermore, due to the interference, his Soul Force couldn't effectively detect his opponents.
A blond-haired guy in a priest's robe, watching how the events were progressing successfully, used a support spell, casting it on a muscular man and a woman with blue hair.
The Womskinner woman, unlike her ally, did not need the support of a being of Light. Instead, using her element of Darkness, she began to absorb the dispersing power of the Pulsar, restoring her own resources.
Pulsar was furious.
In the thick steam, he darted from side to side, attacking his enemies, but every time his sharp, red-hot claws reached their target, they disappeared in a cloud of steam like ghosts, which only increased his anger.
In this state, Pulsar could not think clearly and realize that he had fallen under the spell of the illusions of the water magician, and all his actions were skillfully manipulated, forcing him to waste his strength.
Ned was born from the energy of madness, and it was his essence. Unlike Idan and Arabel, no matter how much energy he used, his mind remained clear and free from the influence of madness.
After all, madness was his true nature.
Therefore, even in the heat of battle, Ned did not lose his composure.
He enjoyed fighting, and he enjoyed it. However, he did not forget about the mission his master had assigned him. As Idan's loyal partner, he wasn't going to let him down.
Through the connection with the First Constellation, he noticed that the Pulsar was in a difficult situation. He realized that it was time for his copy to join the fight.
However, before his copy could exit the portal, something unexpected happened. This caught Ned off guard, and he hesitated for a moment. As a result, he missed the Guardian of Light's attack and was sent flying.
At this time, instead of the blonde-haired Ned with pointed ears, a tiny flaming creature swiftly flew out of the portal and flew straight towards the five creatures from other worlds.
The thick steam not only prevented the Pulsar from seeing what was going on inside, but also other creatures, except for the woman with blue hair.
Meanwhile, she, immersed in manipulating the Pulsar, did not immediately notice the appearance of this tiny creature. Before she could warn everyone, she saw it fly out of the cloud of steam and slam into the unsuspecting priest with force, after which it exploded into flames.
Everyone was shocked by the suddenness and tried to figure out what had happened. Following this unknown creature, a spark of lightning flew out of the steam, and a blond-haired handsome man with pointed ears appeared in front of the Dark Dragon.
He held a long, shining spear in his hands, stretched out, aiming at the dragon's head.
Crack!
With a deafening crack, the sparkling spear smashed into the invisible barrier. The momentum of the impact sent a young man with long black hair, still in a daze, being thrown outside the building.
The blond-haired Ned, realizing that the dragon had been saved by some kind of protective artifact, swiftly followed him, turning into lightning and leaving only a purple trail behind him.
Outside the building, the dark dragon crashed heavily onto the concrete floor, forming a crater. And at that moment, the Blond-haired Ned bumped into him, clutching his spear tightly. This time, he aimed directly at the dragon's chest, and unlike the previous blow, nothing prevented him from piercing through the dragon.
"Graaaaa!" a loud, painful growl rang out, which made the Guardian of Light, hovering high in the sky, stop and look down.
Her gaze swiftly swept across the battlefield, and she instantly realized what had happened.
Then she turned around and met Ned, who had already managed to pull himself together and was looking at her with a smile.
"I think that's enough," the Guardian of Light said loudly, and her voice echoed below.
Lifting her left hand, she pulled out a small sphere the size of a baseball, with a colorful vortex swirling inside.
"I was hoping that I wouldn't have to use this, but you left me no choice," she said, activating the sphere, pouring the element of light into it.
The sphere shone, and the vortex inside it began to rotate chaotically.
"So, choose: stop me or save the city?" — with these words, she threw the sphere down in the direction of the city center, and she quickly rushed down.
