Chapter 915: Grayvale
Chapter 915: Grayvale
"It must be here somewhere," Idan whispered, standing above a dense forest, quite far from the city of Nordist.
"Snow," he called, knowing that the fox was still following him. And he was right.
A rift in the void opened right in front of him, and a joyful snow-white fox jumped out of it.
"Snow, help me, see if there's anyone nearby?" Idan asked.
Hearing the alarm and impatience in his voice, Snow nodded obediently, putting aside her playfulness and desire to attract attention to herself.
"I need to get rid of this chaotic energy as soon as possible," Idan thought as he checked his Soul Space.
Due to the abundance of foreign power that filled his Soul Space, he couldn't use his Soul Power without risk.
"Woo-woo-woo," Snow's whine rang out, distracting Idan from his thoughts.
"Is there no one?" — Idan asked, glancing at Snow, and she nodded in the affirmative.
"But how? Ned couldn't have been mistaken.", — Idan frowned.
"Woo-woo-woo," — Snow hastened to add.
"Wait, are you saying that someone was here recently?"
Snow nodded again, confirming his assumption.
Then she jumped down, and Idan followed her.
The fox quickly led him into the depths of the forest, where a small round empty space could be seen on the ground. The trees around them were destroyed, and even with the naked eye it was obvious that it was the work of magic.
"Spatial magic," — Idan guessed. "After they left using the teleportation scroll, they appeared here."
Snow began to explore the place, sniffing. As a fox with an affinity for the element of space, she was very sensitive to spatial magic.
"Woo-woo-woo," she pointed with her tail in the direction where those who appeared here went.
"Good girl, Snow," — Idan praised her, finally unable to resist and ruffled the fox's fur and chin, which caused her joy.
"Shi-shi-shi," — Snow laughed. She really liked being scratched like that, and she couldn't get enough of the feeling.
She especially liked it when her two masters did it.
After giving Snow a little encouragement in the form of scratching, Idan looked in the direction she indicated.
I don't think I can catch up with them, Idan thought doubtfully.
From the information he had received from Ned, he knew that the group was led by a Diamond-ranked Being of Light, which meant that her flight speed should be faster than his.
Besides, he wasn't sure what other unique abilities they possessed.
"There was even a Dark Dragon among them," — Idan recalled.
However, he couldn't just stand by and watch.
Spreading his wings, he soared into the sky and carefully scanned the horizon.
It was only then that it dawned on him.:
"Isn't that the direction of the next closest city to the anomaly?"
Idan took out his {Whisper Talisman} and quickly wrote a message to Leo, informing him of his approximate location from the city of Nordist and accurately indicating the direction in which the group of beings from other worlds were moving.
Leo didn't take long to answer.
--------------------
Leo: {King, you're right. They're heading towards the town of Grayvale}.
MHG: {Great. Thanks, Leo}.
--------------------
After making sure his assumption was correct, Idan thanked Leo and quickly typed another message to whoever was supposed to be in the city at the time.
"Snow," Idan called after sending the message.
"Open the rift," he asked, and the fox happily nodded, jumped up and tore through space with a wave of its snow—white fluffy tail.
Soon, the empty rift felt the pull of another rift that appeared and began to be attracted to it.
When the two rifts merged into one, a portal opened.
"Let's go, Snow," — Idan said, and wasted no time stepping inside. Once on the other side of the portal, he found himself in the city of Grayvale.
"Idan," a petite beauty with delicate green hair, the tips of which shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow, greeted him from the other side.
"Yulaya," — Idan greeted her.
Behind the girl was the group she led. Former members of the Flower Garden Guild, and now members of the Kingdom Guild.
"Guys," — Idan nodded, greeting everyone.
"The King," they replied with undisguised admiration, looking at him in the guise of the Alpha of Light, as his element of Light radiated around.
"So what brought you here ahead of time?" asked Yulaya.
"You know what happened in Nordist, right?" Idan asked instead of answering, and not only Yulaya, but everyone else nodded.
Leo and Arabel talked in detail about their first encounter with creatures from another world, which made everyone realize how serious the situation was.
Previously, most people treated what was happening with some levity and were confident in their abilities. However, after learning about the true power of the enemies, they began to have some doubts.
"The fact is that after that collision..." — Idan did not hide the true reason for his visit.
"So they captured that cute baby dragon?" wondered Yulaya, finally realizing why Idan had come.
"Yes, and I need to get it back as soon as possible," — Idan nodded. "His condition is very serious now. His soul suffered a severe blow, and if we don't get him back as soon as possible, the consequences could be even more serious."
"Can't you summon him back?" asked Yulaya, remembering that the Way of the Beast Tamer that Idan and Arabel practiced was different from what the others used.
"I could, but due to the backlash and damage to my Stars, I can't at the moment. Not to mention, I can't determine the baby dragon's condition or its current location," Idan replied.
"I see," Yulaya nodded, realizing the seriousness of Idan's situation. "Tell me, how can we help you?"
"Split up and keep a close watch on the city," Idan replied. "If I'm not mistaken, they'll be here soon."
"As soon as you notice them, let me know immediately."
"Hmm, good," — Yulaya nodded again and, turning to her people, quickly organized them.
After a brief meeting, all the guild members dispersed to scout.
For greater safety, they were dressed in ordinary clothes so as not to attract unnecessary attention.
After dispatching her men, Yulaya turned back to Idan.
He was just finishing instructing Snow.
"Okay, go, Snow," — Idan said, gently patting the fox on the head. Wagging her tail, she opened the rift and disappeared inside.
"Did you send a fox to look for them?" asked Yulaya, catching some of his words.
"Yes," Idan nodded. "I can't use my Soul Power myself yet, so I can't find them."
"Besides, seeing what Nordist City has become after encountering these creatures, I wouldn't want to run into them in this city," he added.
Yulaya agreed with him.
She wouldn't want to fight these creatures within the city either.
After sending Snow, Idan could only wait. But he wasn't going to just sit around and do nothing. Looking around, he only now realized that they were in a hotel room.
Finding an empty seat, he sat down and decided to try to find a way to get rid of the chaotic energy surging inside his Soul Space.
