Chapter 937: The Crows
Chapter 937: The Crows
The beast that had been chasing them all this time, enjoying their desperation, and which was just about to tear Oxy apart, was pierced by a blazing fire spear.
Everything happened so quickly that the mortal eyes of Rusty did not have time to follow it.
Not to mention Oxy, who, accepting her fate, closed her eyes.
When she heard the crash and felt the heat, the warmth that hit her face, she opened her eyes and saw an incredible picture that was hard to believe.
The beast was dead, pierced by a fiery spear.
Then they saw it.
The sky was ablaze, and they watched as many fiery spears fell on the city. With every rumble, they could hear the howling of many beasts.
For Rusty and Oxy, everything that was happening seemed like a punishment sent from heaven.
It was as if their pleas had been answered and God had decided to step in and save them.
Looking up from the sky and seeing that Oxy was all right, Rusty smiled and relaxed. At that moment, the pain from the wound in his back flared up with renewed vigor.
The flaming spear that had pinned the beast was gone, and with its disappearance, the warmth radiating from it was gone, and Rusty felt cold.
His vision started to blur, but instead of panicking, he accepted it with a smile.
Oxy stared at the blazing sky in fascination.
"Rusty, look," she said, but got no response. Looking down, she noticed that his eyes were closed and a relaxed smile was playing on his face.
Oxy exclaimed, overcome with panic, and began to crawl towards him.
"Rusty! No, don't die!"
Rusty, whose consciousness was almost swallowed by darkness, heard Oxy's scream.
He wanted to scold her again, saying, "Don't cry, silly!" but he didn't have the strength to do so.
When Rusty's consciousness was plunged into darkness, he found himself in an unusual state.
Suddenly, he felt warmth spreading through his body. The pain began to recede, and with it came an incredible feeling of comfort and coziness.
In this state, Rusty thought he heard a strange voice. The voice was monotonous and emotionless, and it was difficult to tell whether it belonged to a woman or a man.
It was so unusual for him.
"What do I want?" he repeated in his thoughts.
In this state, Rusty couldn't think clearly, but he had one wish that he wanted to fulfill.
"If I don't die, then I will propose to Oxy," he said confidently, and whoever asked him the question seemed to respond to his words.
But Rusty didn't know what exactly it was, and he quickly forgot about it.

Idan stood high above the city, getting rid of all the animals he encountered without showing any mercy.
His flaming wings illuminated the night sky above the city.
Looking around the dilapidated city, he transformed into an Alpha of Light and activated [Healing Light – Level 4], enlisting the support of the System.
His healing light covered a significant part of the city, reaching many of the wounded, beginning to heal them, including Rusty and Oxy.
After making sure that this should be enough for the first time, Idan turned off his ability and swooped down, landing in the center of a huge city square.
"Snow," he called, simultaneously sending a message to Arabel through the {Lovers' Plate}. A joyful fox jumped out of a nearby rift, which had been following him relentlessly lately.
"Open the rift, Snow," Idan asked, out of habit, gently stroking his companion's fluffy fur, which only increased her joy. "Let's see what kind of help Darkia has decided to send."
Snow enthusiastically flicked her tail and created a new rift. Soon, the rift established a connection with another rift, and both rifts began to connect, forming a portal.
When the portal opened completely, Idan peered intently into it, curiously waiting to see who would appear from the other side.
Caw! Caw! Caw!
However, instead of a human, a multitude of cawing crows poured out of the portal.
Crows, flying out of the portal, soared into the sky and began to circle around. There were so many of them that they soon almost completely filled the sky above the city square.
When the last crow flew out of the portal, a figure in a black cloak of crow feathers came out of it. The hood and raven mask hid his face.
"Crowey," — Idan instantly recognized the guest. But what struck him the most was that the hero of the Federation had come here as support from Darkia.
Idan was still in the form of the Alpha of Light, and when Crowey saw him, he let out a laugh that sounded like the cawing of a crow.
Idan frowned at this strange guest.
He knew about Crowey from what his sister and Hailey had told him. Besides being the number 6 Hero of the Federation and the leader of the Raven Guild, he was also famous for his voyeurism.
His laughter suddenly stopped.
The raven mask's black eyes stared at Idan for a moment before a familiar emotionless voice rang out.
"It's good to see you again, Dan."
Idan flinched slightly, but quickly recognized the speaker.
"Darkia."
"Hehe hehe," came a completely different laugh.
"Well, are you surprised by my man whom I brought to your aid?" he asked, spreading his arms and spinning in front of Idan.
"I admit, you surprised me," Idan said. "Of course, I know what your strength is based on, but I never would have thought that you would reach out to the Heroes of the Federation."
"Why not?" replied Darkia. "They're the most famous and one of the strongest Awakened Ones. How could I not pay attention to them?"
There was truth in Darkia's words. It was Idan's mistake that he didn't figure it out sooner.
Idan began to worry if the other Federation Heroes were also under its control.
For a moment, Idan forgot why he was here, but a system notification appeared in front of his eyes.
[System Activation Detected]
"Huh?" — Idan was surprised. comment
