Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 949: Maybe... maybe not.

Chapter 949: Maybe... maybe not.

"For the sake of your safety and the well-being of your guild members, ignore this call and don't go there."

Arabel didn't say those words because she didn't want Rachel, Nathan, and the members of the Titan Guild to leave. Of course, their help made a huge contribution to the salvation of the inhabitants of the doomed cities.

In the few days that Rachel had been watching her, Arabel had also been watching everyone closely. She noticed that Rachel, Nathan, and most of the members of the Titan Guild were doing their jobs with maximum dedication.

They cooperated with her not only on Darkia's orders, but also on their own, just like she did.

Knowing that beings from other worlds were behind the summoning of the Federation and the Association of the Awakened, Arabel understood that their goal was to control the locals and use them as tools to investigate Anomalies.

The power of the Anomalies was undeniable. Considering that the beasts had started flocking to them from the very first minutes of its appearance, Arabel suspected that powerful Platinum-ranked creatures were probably already living in the hearts of the Anomalies.

Based on this, going there now without reaching the Platinum rank would be akin to suicide.

"As someone connected to Darkia, you should understand who is behind this call from the Federation and the Awakened Association," Arabel continued.

"Of course, the seeds of the law are a very rare and valuable resource that everyone wants."

"And more importantly, it's the most valuable resource for Diamond-ranked creatures. And considering that our world has just entered the middle stage and none of the awakened ones have probably reached the Platinum rank yet, having passed the ascension trial, the chances of competing for the seeds of law with creatures from other worlds are almost zero."

Arabel's words had a strong effect on Rachel, and she began to doubt.

Yes, she was familiar with the seeds of law thanks to Darkia, and it would be untrue to say that they did not arouse her interest.

Despite her strength and only a Golden rank, Rachel was confident in herself and in her husband's strength.

She was also aware of the creatures from other worlds and how much they were superior to the inhabitants of Earth in strength.

However, for the sake of the planet's future, she was thinking of taking a chance and trying to get the seed of law.

Besides, she and her husband were not only the strongest heroes of the Federation and the most famous Awakened, but also the leaders of the most famous Guild. If they ignored the Federation's call, it could seriously damage their Guild's reputation and worsen their relationship with the Federation and the Association.

"I was right, wasn't I?" said Darkia with a wide smile, looking at Arabel.

"Yes, you were right," — Arabel admitted. "Why did you contact me this time?"

"Straight to the point again, huh?" Darkia made a displeased face.

Arabel frowned.

She noticed that Darkia had been showing more and more emotions lately.

"I wonder if she's faking it or is she really experiencing something?" — Arabel thought about it.

But she immediately began to refute her thoughts.:

"Although it's unlikely, because she's a System."

"What if I just want to chat with you? To find out how you're doing, are you eating well?" asked Darkia.

"Stop joking, Darkia, I know you contacted me for a reason," Arabel replied sharply. "You already know everything about my condition."

"But Arabel, knowing that is not the same as hearing it from yourself," Darkia objected.

"This is the principle of trust."

"I take it you still don't trust me?" asked Darkia.

"Yes, I don't trust you," Arabel said bluntly, looking into Darkia's dark eyes without fear.

"Tsch!" — Darkia clicked her tongue, and her expression turned cold.

"Okay, then let's get down to business," Darkia's playfulness disappeared, just as Arabel wanted.

Arabel felt a little uneasy when she saw this rapid change.

"Did I make a mistake?" A thought flashed through her mind.

As if reading her thoughts, a faint smile flashed across Darkia's face, but it quickly disappeared.

"I'm offering a new deal," she said.

"What's the deal?" asked Arabel.

"I'm offering to help you as my people, and in return, I want to get a share — a few seeds of the law," Darkia explained.

"Didn't we already make an agreement earlier?" asked Arabel, frowning.

"That's different," Darkia replied, shaking her head. "This is a new deal, but the old one remains in force. My people will continue to help with the evacuation, regardless of whether you agree to the new agreement or not."

Remembering Darkia's warning about the imminent appearance of the seeds of law, Arabel immediately suspected that Darkia knew what lay ahead and was taking advantage of it.

"Do you know something about the future?" she couldn't help but ask.

"Maybe," Darkia had her usual big smile on her face. "Or maybe not."

"Even if I knew, I see no reason to share this with someone who doesn't trust me," she added.

Seeing that Arabel was silent and just looking at her, Darkia continued:

"I don't need your answer right now."

"Think about it and discuss it with your husband and sisters. When you make a decision, contact me," with these words, Darkia ended the conversation, leaving Arabel with a lot of questions.

"Okay, I'll follow your advice," Rachel suddenly said after a long silence and deep thought.

Arabel's avatar, who was also aware of his real body's conversation with Darkia, thought that perhaps Darkia had influenced Rachel's decision.

But she quickly dismissed those thoughts.

The most important thing right now is the help of Rachel, her husband, and the members of her Guild.

"If you're worried about your Guild's reputation, then you can blame it on us," Arabel suggested. "Suggest something like our Guild is holding you back and not letting you go."

Considering that her Guild Kingdom doesn't have the best relations with the Federation and the Association, a new conflict is unlikely to change their current difficult situation much.

"Are you sure?" asked Rachel.

"Yes," Arabel nodded. "It's not that big of a problem for us."

"Especially considering what we're going to do in the near future.", — Arabel thought, but didn't voice those words.
