Chapter 951: Welcome to the Kingdom!
Chapter 951: Welcome to the Kingdom!
"Please come in," Irina heard Milena's voice as a portal created by a snow—white fox opened in front of them. Milena herself remained hidden behind a curtain of darkness.
Irina looked at the portal with curiosity, and then turned her gaze to the snow-white fox, which, as it seemed to her, possessed a very rare element of space.
"Where did they find such a miracle?" — Irina asked herself, who had a desire to find such a fox.
There were two people standing next to her: Samuel, who followed her everywhere, becoming a kind of mascot for Irina, and Iona, who was under her supervision.
"Remember, you will find yourself in a completely different place first. Don't be surprised and just wait for the next portal that will take you to the right place," Milena added, before Irina was the first to step into the portal, followed by Samuel and Iona.
After passing through the portal, they found themselves in a dark, damp place where the sounds of heavy rain could be heard. Fortunately, the place where they went out was sheltered from the weather, and they did not have to get wet.
"Another one?" — Irina exclaimed, surprised to see another snow-white fox. It was slightly different from the one she had seen earlier, which clearly indicated that there was a completely different fox in front of them.
Only then did she notice another figure standing next to the fox. She was a beautiful woman with long purple hair and eyes of the same color, from whom dangerous fluctuations emanated, which could not but surprise Irina.
As a Diamond-ranked creature, she rarely felt threatened by anyone other than other creatures of the same level. This led her to believe that she was facing a woman who was her equal or even superior in strength.
"This is… This changes everything," Irina's eyes shone slightly at the realization that they might have underestimated the hidden power of the Kingdom all this time.
She had not yet had time to meet Arabel, the leader of the Kingdom Guild, but she was already beginning to realize that she had made the right decision.
While Irina was carefully examining Lina, who had come here at Arabel's request to protect Whitey and demonstrate her strength, Lina was studying Irina no less closely.
"Strong", — Lina thought. She then gently touched Whitey's head, urging her to open the rift.
Whitey nodded, listened to her protector, and with a flick of her tail, created a new portal, which this time led directly into the heart of the Kingdom.
After passing through the second portal, the trio found themselves in front of the entrance to the restaurant.
The first thing that caught Irina's eye was the third fox, but this time she immediately noticed a clear resemblance to the first.
Meanwhile, Samuel and Iona were looking around.
It wasn't the first time Iona had been here, but each time she was surprised at how quickly the Kingdom was changing. And this time, she noticed that the number of buildings had increased significantly since her last visit.
"Where is this place?" Samuel wondered, feeling an incredible concentration of energy, which was denser and even better quality here than outside.
"Inside that barrier on the territory of the former Stone family," Irina replied, looking away from the fox and also looking around.
"Is that what's inside that barrier?" Samuel almost exclaimed, but eventually he lowered his voice to a whisper.
They were amazed to see an entire settlement inside the mysterious barrier and a lot of people.
When Samuel wanted to use his Soul Force to take a better look around, he noticed that an invisible force was limiting his abilities.
"Hmm... suppression?" — he frowned and, turning to Irina, wanted to ask her about it. But to his surprise, he saw that she was frozen, wide-eyed, and trembling slightly.
"Irina?" — He called, but she didn't answer.
"Hmm... Behave yourself," Irina heard in her head, and only then did the incredible terrible pressure disappear, allowing her to move.
Irina began to breathe deeply, covered in sweat.
"This... this..." she couldn't find the words to describe her feelings.
Even when meeting a sixth-rank being, she didn't feel so small.
This made her think of an incredible, terrible guess about the existence of a being above the sixth rank, which hides behind the Kingdom Guild.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom's prison.
"It seems to have worked, and even better than I expected," said Sierra, who had just conducted her experiment with Irina and warned her.
Despite her true eighth rank, she, like everyone else, was limited in the Kingdom, even as the Guardian of Darkness.
What she did to Irina was just a small experiment.
Sierra used her power over the Kingdom, her understanding of the element of darkness, which, despite the limitations of rank, was significantly higher, and some understanding of the element of death, which she acquired after prolonged attempts to master.
"Although it's too early to talk about fully mastering the element of death, but as I see it, the effect is already there," Sierra smiled.
"Congratulations, master!" — her joy was transferred to Prina, and she clapped her four small hands, congratulating her master.
"Hehe, thank you," — Sierra smiled at her, and then decided to continue watching Irina and Arabel's meeting, wanting to know what they were going to discuss.
Returning to Irina, Samuel and Iona, the waitress came out of the restaurant, giving the new guests time to look around, greeted everyone.
"Welcome to the New World Restaurant."
"Please follow me. The leader is already waiting for you," with these words, the waitress opened the door, inviting the trio inside. As soon as they crossed the threshold, she followed them, stepped forward and confidently led them.
Irina and Samuel lagged behind a bit, surprised by the pleasant aroma of the cooked dishes. Iona, on the other hand, was looking forward to this fragrance, which aroused her appetite. When she saw Irina and Samuel's reaction, she couldn't help but smile, understanding their feelings.
Despite the early morning, the restaurant was quite crowded.
The waitress led them to the far corner, where Arabel was already waiting at the table.
As they approached, Arabel stood up and greeted them.
"Good morning and welcome to the Kingdom!"
