Chapter 509: Chapter

"Old man, if you dare to touch my man, I’ll kill you!"

The Queen’s voice split the heavens like divine thunder. Her words didn’t just echo—they rippled through the air, reverberating with an authority that made even the winds freeze.

The Seventh Priest—Black—staggered mid-spell. His spear of energy wavered, then shattered apart as his body tensed under that impossible pressure. His aged eyes darted to the horizon, fear creeping through his defiance.

A streak of light tore across the sky.

From it descended a woman—graceful, regal, untouchable. The golden crown on her head glowed like a sun halo; her violet eyes burned like molten amethyst. Her beauty was more than mortal—it was absolute. Her presence alone silenced the world.

Rose, the Queen of the Soulforge Citadel, had arrived.

Without a word, she raised her hand. A burst of purple-gold energy roared out, the shadow of an Eight-Leg Purple Spider Empress spreading across the sky. Its power shredded the hundred-foot spear to dust, the shockwave shaking the earth.

The danger vanished in an instant.

Black’s face twisted, his voice trembling with fury and fear.

"Rose! My apprentice lies beaten—don’t you dare ignore this! You owe me an explanation!"

But Rose didn’t even glance his way. Her focus was locked on one person—Nux.

She landed softly, her steps measured and light, yet each one carried divine weight.

"Nux," she said, her voice soft now, trembling beneath the fury she had just unleashed. "Are you alright?"

Nux coughed lightly, straightening with a faint smirk. "I’m fine."

Her shoulders loosened. For the briefest second, her fierce exterior cracked, relief washing through her violet eyes.

"Rose!" Black barked again, voice trembling from being ignored. "This old man is talking to you!"

Slowly, she turned her gaze toward him. Her phoenix eyes narrowed, and the temperature around them plunged. Frost and began to form across the ground.

"Old man," she said coldly, each syllable sharp as a blade. "Be grateful he’s unharmed. Because if he wasn’t..." Her voice darkened. "I’d end you where you stand."

Black froze. He saw it—the killing intent in her eyes wasn’t for show. It was real.

He jabbed a trembling finger toward the unconscious Inferno sprawled in the distance. "Look! My disciple was beaten half to death! You can’t possibly say he did nothing wrong!"

Rose tilted her head, a a cruel smirk tugging at her lips.

"Inferno?" Her tone dripped disdain. "That trash isn’t even worth being compared to Nux."

"You—!" Black’s face turned crimson. "I demand justice!"

"Justice?"

The word left her lips like a hiss before her power exploded outward. Her aura surged—vast, crushing, infinite. The heavens dimmed beneath it. Even a Spiritual Paragon like Black found himself crushed under the sheer weight of her soul force.

"Listen well, old man," she said, voice echoing through the clouds. "If you’re seeking justice, then here it is. Your disciple picked the fight. Your disciple made the first move. Every fault lies with your disciple. If you dare to raise a hand against Nux—" her eyes gleamed like purple lightning "—then strike me first, and see how you die."

Black’s knees almost buckled. His his veins pulsed under the pressure of her aura. His lips moved wordlessly until—

"You... you’re going too far!" he roared, but even as he shouted, blood splattered from his lips. His body trembled under the strain of her overwhelming presence.

"Pathetic," Rose muttered.

Behind her, the Eight-Leg Purple Spider Empress phantom emerged again, spreading across the sky like a divine omen. Its purple-gold light covered everything, majestic and absolute.

"Old bastard," she said coldly. "Take your useless disciple and get the fuck out of my sight."

Her final word cracked to through the air—

"Roll."

The command hit him like thunder.

Black’s eyes went wide with humiliation and rage. "You... I’ll report this to the Grand Priest! I’ll have you judged for this insolence!"

He gathered his fading strength, wrapped Inferno’s unconscious body in soul power, and vanished in a violent burst of light.

Rose’s lip curled. She stood there for a long moment, fury still radiating from her body. "If I weren’t Queen," she murmured darkly, "I’d have killed that old fool where he stood."

Because in her mind, there was only one law—

Anyone who dares is touch her man deserves death.

From the shadows, a figure stirred. A beautiful silver-haired woman—Felberta—watched silently, her violet eyes glinting with cold intent. Her hand gripped a razor-sharp spatial blade, poised to strike at the first sign of danger.

"Syra," she whispered, never taking her gaze off the fading trace of Black’s escape, "I’ll chase him. Stay with Nux. Don’t let him be harmed again."

Syra—her pink hair glowing faintly in the moonlight—sighed softly. "You’re not chasing him out of duty. You’re angry because he has other women, aren’t you?"

Felberta said nothing, only turned away. The air shimmered, and she disappeared into the void.

Syra pouted, muttering to herself. "Hmph. Always jealous." Then, with a little shake of her head, her body shimmered, shrinking into the soft pink form of a rabbit. She hopped lightly toward Nux, murmuring, "Outside’s dangerous anyway... my benefactor’s arms are much warmer."

Back in the charred courtyard, Gavin stood frozen, his mouth slightly open as he stared at the sky where the Queen’s power had faded.

"Holy hell..." he breathed. "So that’s his backing? That’s terrifying."

He turned toward Nux, who looked completely calm despite the chaos that had just unfolded.

"This man’s talent, his power, and that kind of backing—if I don’t start sucking up to him, I’m a damn fool," Gavin muttered, already scheming.

Then his eyes widened as a thought hit him. "Wait—my sister!" He clenched his fists. "I’ve got to make sure she doesn’t screw this up! There’s no way she’ll find a better man than him."

Before he could move, Rose landed gracefully, her heels tapping against the stone. Without saying a single word, she reached out, grabbed Nux’s wrist, and pulled him along with her.
