Chapter 713 713: No Mercy Tonight
Chapter 713 713: No Mercy Tonight
No Mercy Tonight
Commander Black received only one simple order: "No one enters within two kilometers of my estate. Complete shutdown until I order."
It stayed unexplained. Nothing more came by way of detail.
Only authority.
Far off, Commander Black went rigid when he heard how clear it was. Got it
Then came a hush, as faint shields took shape along the property's edge - soft, unseen. A pause settled, not loud but present, like breath held under skin. Thin barriers curled into place without sound, wrapping the land in quiet watchfulness. They appeared gently, yet firm, as if drawn by something deeper than motion.
Something moved where eyes couldn't reach. Paths changed their usual pattern. The far doors locked tight, one by one. Interruption wouldn't happen - what came next stood protected.
Back inside the hall -
A shadow passed through the room. Still, nobody spoke of his actions.
It stayed quiet instead of breaking loose.
It deepened.
Far beyond where the earth seemed to stop.
Now Leon faced them again, his body shifting completely around.
Across the room his eyes drifted, landing on each woman one by one.
Not hurried.
Not greedy.
Intent.
Wife.
Maid.
Folks inhale what floats around us. Air moves through each chest alike.
All watching him.
That quiet in the hall held its breath - coiled. Thick. Much like air just before a storm tears it open.
Leon felt it.
That's quite a look for you right now, he murmured.
Out of his mouth came sound, steady and quiet, yet not quite what it seemed. Underneath ran a thread - sharp, unspoken. Not just caution. Perhaps provocation instead.
Forward moved Rias first.
Fire-red strands tumbled past her shoulders, wild as flame, while a smirk lit up her gaze. Not once did she hurry - never had, never would. One hand moved across his chest, slow, fingertips skimming cloth then settling firm, heat pulsing under her palm.
"Only because you make us that way," she replied, her tone soft but deliberate. "You stand there like you own the night… and expect us to behave?"
A small smile began to show on Leon's face.
Out of the corner, a tilt came to Syra's head, strands of bright green lit by crystal glow above. Not serious at first glance - yet something keen flickered behind her stare.
Fear holding you back? she said, moving near, shortening the gap not with strides but small advances.
Leon laughed softly.
"Afraid?"
Smoke drifted away from his lips as the syllables faded. He let it go without holding on.
A flicker lit Nova's eyes under the low light. Silence held her first. His stance caught her attention, then how his breath ran slow when it should have raced.
Only if you show me first," she finally answered.
Faint tremors ran through the chandelier's glow when the air grew heavy with unseen energy.
This did not happen by chance.
It was reacting.
Close they moved, his wives - no rush, just purpose.
Claiming space.
Claiming him.
Warmth began to spread through the air.
A shape began to take form, unconnected but close - the warmth of them pressing in from all around. Cloth made soft sounds. Air moved between their mouths.
Along the room's perimeter, the servants stood without moving.
Watching.
Hearts pounding.
Lilyn's golden-brown gaze wavered, caught mid-breath. Down went Mira's throat in a slow pull. A faint crease formed where Rui's hand tightened along the fabric of her dress.
They shouldn't move.
It was clear where they stood.
A pull hung thick, dragging under their skin. The air shifted without warning.
One foot moved ahead, then the next, without thinking. They followed.
Unlike the wives, never loud or certain.
But drawn in.
A glance slipped sideways - Leon's gaze landed on them.
Full.
Dark.
Deciding.
Fine then," came his quiet reply.
Now his words came without pause.
Up went his hand, tugging the collar loose. Off slipped the cloth, down from his shoulders. After that came everything else - left behind like yesterday's news, no second glance. Not a hurried move. Never showing off.
There he was, out in the open. Still. Not trying to vanish.
A hush settled, sudden. Stillness took hold without warning.
A flicker of uncertainty crossed Syra's face, her grin slipping just slightly before returning.
Nova exhaled slowly.
A flicker of approval lit Rias's eyes, steady and open. Quietly, she took it in without hesitation.
"The night's just starting," Syra murmured.
Not so fast, Rias murmured, moving near enough that her breath brushed his skin. The moment had slipped past - already here
Now the maids drew nearer, yet hovered by the circle's rim. A thin tension shook their hesitation.
Something held his face still, not pain. A quiet grip behind the teeth.
The darkness was different now.
Not wild.
Not uncontrolled.
But charged.
Stillness shaped each step. A look could anchor time.
Around Leon, a ring of faces held still. He saw it then - the quiet curve enclosing him.
He saw confidence.
Desire.
Challenge.
And trust.
His voice dropped.
"Careful," he murmured. "If you surround me like this… I might not show mercy."
Rias smiled.
It was a grin that crept across like smoke. Dangerous without needing to move.
"Who said we want mercy?"
A quiet chuckle slipped out of Syra. She said we hadn't ever put in a request
Now Nova moved ahead, filling the final gap without pause. Yet you've always held back that one thing
Stillness took hold, just for a second. Everyone stayed frozen.
Out of nowhere, the air's energy throbbed, steady as a pulse.
And the hall, once elegant and quiet -
Now at the heart of trouble, just as things started to crack open.
