Chapter 1776 - 1633: The Head of Ten Thousand Dragons, Dragon Girl

Chapter 1776: Chapter 1633: The Head of Ten Thousand Dragons, Dragon Girl

Chu Mu did not rashly fly into the dragon horde. He could feel that the woman in black clothes was Yu Suo.

However, there were subtle differences between her and Yu Suo. Chu Mu couldn’t sense any life aura from her. Her demeanor was strikingly similar to Yu Suo’s, yet she was nothing more than a puppet of Yu Suo.

Back in World City, Yu Suo had already created a puppet and controlled it remotely from afar.

The Yu Suo standing at the center of the dragon horde at this moment was likewise a puppet—Chu Mu could tell with a single glance.

Her wild laughter came from Yu Suo’s laughter. Her fury, too, stemmed from Yu Suo’s anger. Yet, this was not Yu Suo herself. The real Yu Suo must be hidden somewhere.

Even Princess Jinrou’s worries were all within Yu Suo’s calculations. She had strategically placed one of her puppets in Struggle Capital City...

This feeling was as if she intentionally lured the three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders of the Heavenly Palace to this place.

Since that was the case, the formation diagram set up in Struggle Capital City surely wasn’t the real Stealing Formation!

...

The puppet Yu Suo ceased her wild laughter, her voice suddenly turning icy cold and aloof: "This place shall serve as your gravesite."

The spell was chanted, and in an instant, all the energy crystal stones transformed into icy, sharp glimmers of light. These glimmers shot upward into the pitch-black sky over the city, rapidly interweaving above to form a diagram teeming with murderous intent!!

The entire formation diagram exuded an intense chill, and the dreadful aura it summoned turned into a storm of slaughter, shrouding the heads of the three thousand dragons of the Heavenly Palace legion!

The Extermination Array!!!

On the ground, vines resembling bolts of lightning wildly lashed and surged.

Under the nightfall, frigid glimmers wove into chains, appearing like countless blades of murderous starlit swords as they crossed and intertwined!

The vines grew upward, tangling into dense, crisscrossing structures that frantically coiled around the colossal bodies of the dragons.

Both the vines and flower branches were laden with Stone Poison. With the slightest scrape against the dragons’ skin, they would instantly begin to petrify and turn into a dull gray.

In no time, the vines, resembling a terrifying serpent army, writhed monstrously as they climbed onto every single dragon!

Whenever a dragon’s body succumbed to petrification, the frigid light-born Starlit Killing Array in the sky would coalesce into a Sword of Hatred, slicing down with fierce precision!!

As more and more dragons and Heavenly Palace members were ensnared by the petrifying vines, the Sword of Hatred transformed into a Cold Star Sword Rain, falling with unrelenting murderous intent!

The chaotic interweaving of sword light scattered a rain of vivid blood, with cries of agony resounding without end!!

The three thousand dragons occupied almost the entirety of the central district of the city, an area containing thousands of city buildings and hundreds of streets.

Yet the terrifying Petrification Flower Formation and Extermination Array encompassed this entire central district in their grasp. Nearly every street was soon overrun with the dreadful flower vines, which were followed by slaughtering swords that tore the dragons of the Heavenly Palace asunder!

Though Struggle Capital City was massive, and emptied of civilians, not everyone had truly left this city.

In secluded alleys, streets, or atop high rooftops, figures of Soul Pet Masters could still be spotted.

While these bystanders were still astonished by the descending dragon legion, this massacre rendered them completely stupefied.

This dragon legion, descending from the heavens, was far more powerful than any army under any faction—even the Divine Sect could not compare to it. After all, who had ever witnessed an army with hundreds of immortal-level creatures in its ranks?

However, what shocked them even more was that within Struggle Capital City—a place they considered their safe haven—such a terrifying formation of annihilation lay hidden. Just think, had this formation been activated a month earlier, how many people, how many factions, would have faced total extinction!!

...

From a distance, Chu Mu stood, his face filled with shock as he watched the Heavenly Palace dragon army suffer complete slaughter.

How long had Yu Suo been setting up this formation??

How long had she been devising this plan??

At this moment, Chu Mu understood why she had kept emphasizing that he had wasted her time, and why she ultimately compromised and handed him the Flower Pistil.

It was because she had to complete everything before the solar eclipse arrived.

This massacre lasted for an extremely long time. Had it been any other mortal army, they would have been utterly exterminated long ago.

The three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders had already charged into the very heart of the fray. They sought to tear Yu Suo into pieces, as an offering to mourn the slain divine generals.

The Heavenly Palace army took centuries to cultivate such a force. This annihilation, while not wiping them out entirely, would take an unbelievably long time to recover from.

Unfortunately, the three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders struck nothing but air. That seemingly fearsome woman was merely another puppet of Yu Suo, meant solely to activate this blood-soaked Revenge Array.

Though he couldn’t see their faces, Chu Mu could well imagine the expressions of the three generals—who had long commanded invincible renown on the Mortal World—upon realizing this was a trap. It must have been incredibly grim!

The blood from a single dragon’s corpse was enough to turn into a flowing stream. With over a thousand dragons dead, crimson blood flooded the city’s streets, houses, and courtyards—an utterly horrifying sight.

"Damn it, what kind of demonic creature is this?!?" Guard Commander Qin Ji roared in fury.

Sitting atop his Dark Dragon, Rong Fen’s face twitched with suppressed anger.

That anyone in this world would dare provoke the majesty of the Heavenly Palace was beyond belief. Didn’t these fools know that, in past eras, those who committed similar audacious acts had all paid the heaviest prices??

Why was it that, every so often, some ignorant being would emerge? Was it so difficult for them to live obediently in the Mortal World?

"Summon the members of the Imperial Clan. We must uncover exactly who is defying the Heavenly Palace!" Tao Gu said.

...

The metallic scent of blood pervaded from the heart of the city. The cold-bloodedness of the Heavenly Palace was truly frightful.

Even with over a thousand members dead, the Guard Troops remained expressionless. The most you could see in their eyes was a faint relief that they themselves had not perished.

Chu Mu prepared to turn away, having realized he had been mistaken. The Stealing Formation was not in Struggle Capital City after all.

However, just as Chu Mu was about to leave, a noble crimson Empress Dragon suddenly emerged in the skies above Struggle Capital City!

The Empress Dragon was one of the rarest species of dragon in this world, so much so that many wondered if it truly existed.

Chu Mu had heard of the Empress Dragon from the Fox Elder. It possessed a long, slender physique, noble crimson-colored scale armor, and long tassel-like whiskers spreading out from its dragon horns...

"Young Master!!! It—it’s an Empress Dragon!! This Heavenly Palace indeed hides incredible powers, even possessing an Empress Dragon." The Fox Elder exclaimed in shock.

Chu Mu turned back and saw that atop the Empress Dragon’s back sat a cold and proud woman clad in crimson armor.

This woman was mature and indifferent, exuding a unique wild allure. At the same time, she emanated an aura vastly different from that of humans. Her eyes, in particular, carried none of the usual human emotions—they seemed like eternally glowing crimson gemstones!

The woman wore a coronet atop her head, donning dragon-patterned silk robes. Her figure was tall and elegant, and as she sat upon the noble Empress Dragon, it was as though she and the extraordinary creature had become one!

"Dragon Girl!!" Chu Mu stared in astonishment at the woman.

He remembered seeing her before, during Yu Qie’s entrapment amidst the Sky Demon’s hunt!

She wasn’t a Totem Believer Woman, nor a Watcher, nor even a Roulette Guard. Like the Human Mother, she was unique within the Heavenly Palace.

The Human Mother transcended all, responsible only for the Divine Woman of Fate and the Raising of the Divine Girl. The Dragon Girl, too, was similarly distinct. Many even believed she was an immortal-level powerhouse!!

The mere appearance of the Dragon Girl demonstrated the Heavenly Palace’s utter determination to capture Yu Suo.

...

Perched high above, the Dragon Girl’s gaze swept coldly across the city, taking in the sight of the dismembered dragon corpses scattered everywhere.

The three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders stood beside her, not daring to utter a word. It was almost unfathomable for figures as dominant as Qin Ji, Tao Gu, and Rong Fen—beings nearly invincible within the Mortal World—to bow their heads in reverence.

"What happened?" the Dragon Girl inquired.

"We’ve been deceived. That demonic woman lured us here and activated a meticulously prepared slaughter array," Qin Ji replied.

"And the inhabitants of this city?" the Dragon Girl continued.

"We’ve already sent someone to question the Imperial Clan members..."

At that moment, a deep blue meteor streaked across the pitch-black night sky, descending from high above!

The Dragon Girl and the three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders simultaneously lifted their gazes, following the meteor’s path as it fell.

"Follow that meteor." Without hesitation, the Dragon Girl commanded, steering the noble crimson Empress Dragon in pursuit of the falling star.

The three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders quickly followed, though the remaining 1,600 Imperial Guard Dragon members trailed far behind, their speed significantly slower.

Fortunately, the Dragon Girl left a blazing, crimson trail in her flight. Even if the others couldn’t match her speed, they would be able to find her by following the fiery path she left behind.

...

"Young Master, that meteor must have been cast down from the Heavenly Palace itself. It’s a guiding star—someone must have used an immense sensory connection to locate Yu Suo’s true position," the Fox Elder said.

Chu Mu gazed at the distant falling star, his brow furrowing slightly...

That direction—it pointed to the New Moon Land!

Could it be that Yu Suo had been in the New Moon Land all along??

"Didn’t she mention before that the Heavenly Palace and the Di Sheng Flower Holy Realm share a unique space channel? Young Master, I believe she might be using this secret realm to extract energy from the Solar Eclipse Array. Meanwhile, she cunningly set up a decoy array earlier to lure the Imperial Guard to Struggle Capital City, buying herself enough time," the Fox Elder speculated.

Chu Mu nodded in agreement.

The glimpses Chu Mu had into Yu Suo’s memories were fragmented. He couldn’t have known many intricate details.

However, if the Dragon Girl herself had appeared, then the situation had become incredibly dangerous.

With Chu Mu’s current power, he could at best contend with the three Great Forbidden Guard Commanders in battle. Yet to stop someone like the Dragon Girl—an almost mythical figure—was practically impossible.

"Let’s hope the Dragon Girl hasn’t reached the immortal level," Chu Mu murmured to himself.
