Chapter 1400: Oscar and Noel

"!!!" Drente raised his head, noticing the explosions. From those explosions, the right side could push forward, overwhelming their enemies.

At the same time, this was the first time he saw such a massive force capable of obliterating their enemies.

Obviously, Drente ordered his people to push forward since the demons would try to fill up the void, which was their right side. As a result, the demons in the middle would thin out, allowing his people to have a much better result.

"Should I intercept them?" Clara moved forward. They were an all-purpose team, so they should have no problem stopping their advance. At least, buying enough time for these people to be done with their fighting should be easy.

However, both Oscar and Noel seemed to have a tacit understanding, as both of them said, "No need."

Oscar and Noel exchanged gazes.

"I'll take the left." Oscar smiled.

"I'll take the right then." Noel nodded calmly.

Both of them hurried to the right side of the battlefield. The reason they stopped Clara from taking over was the number of demons attacking them. This one had a bigger size than the demons from the front. It was as if the Supreme Devil tried to lure them first with the first wave and took them down with a pincer attack.

However, there was no way to succeed, especially with Oscar and Noel watching over them.

Oscar released a massive amount of energy, alerting both Shale and Drente. Even Howard and Incetta furrowed their eyebrows because they felt that powerful energy.

Oscar grinned. That massive amount of energy gradually moved to his mouth as he whispered to the world. "Stop!"

"!!!" The demons wanted to move forward, but their bodies suddenly refused to move as though they had been frozen in time.

Clara squinted her eyes, observing Oscar's power. This was the ultimate power of the Demon Banner Army, the commander who had reached the pinnacle of strength. His voice was fueled with spiritual energy, commanding everything in this world.

And this time, the order he gave to the demon was… "Die."

"!!!" The demon widened their eyes. There was an indescribable pressure coming from their bodies.

They didn't know what was going on, but the next thing they realized, their bodies suddenly got blasted from the inside before exploding.

'The ability to command people to die…' Clara's expression darkened. 'The power of transcendent…'

On the other hand, Noel wasn't losing at all. He had several methods to kill these demons, but he thought this would be a perfect time to show a bit of the Ardagan family's ability.

He raised his hand up in the air. His spiritual energy moved from the tip of his finger to the air above him, gradually forming a huge pattern and creating a massive rune.

"!!!" Clara and Oscar raised their eyebrows. This was the first time they saw a rune this huge and containing so much power.

Felicia's body shook. "The rune that can only be used by a grandmaster or above, Advanced Level Rune, Executioner."

Noel snapped his fingers, activating his rune.

In that instant, the rune shone brightly, releasing that massive energy in the form of light that destroyed everything inside. The light turned into a pillar and expanded, engulfing so many demons.

The moment the light disappeared and they had no more problem looking in that direction, they would find a massive crater hole in the ground with all the demons within it.

Although Oscar's attack was more unique, Noel's rune created much more impact.

In the end, both of them just stared at each other as if they were comparing the result.

Still, even though they were a spirit transcendence expert, there was no way to kill a thousand demons in one go, especially when they were pretty scattered.

Two peak-level demons managed to avoid death and sneak up on them, unleashing everything they had just to injure them. At the very least, this should be enough to avenge the rest of the demons.

Both of them had noticed these demons, but they didn't seem to be particularly bothered by the demons. After all, both their trusted subordinates couldn't help but come to protect them.

Clara came to Oscar and wrapped the demon with her threads before tightening it, slicing the demon into pieces.

It looked like the slashes didn't do anything at first, but the demon stopped right after the two slashes before its body started to fall down, following the direction of the sword.

"!!!" Oscar was the one shocked by that sword strike. It felt so familiar that it jogged up a bit of his memory… the memory he wanted to bury because of how sad it was.

He once had two best friends, only for them to disappear. Oscar clenched his hands into fists while muttering, "You…"

The masked man only glanced at Oscar for a split second before turning to Noel and bowing to him as though he were going to scout around.

Oscar instinctively knew who the masked man was. An image of him drinking together with two men, all smiles, resurfaced in his mind.

This felt like a message to him… only to him, as he was the only one who could understand it.
