Chapter 1476: All-Out War
Chapter 1476: All-Out War
"We have received news about another attack. It's in Count Halder's territory, not far from Marquis Stargaze's territory."
"!!!" Noel and Anna widened their eyes. Anna hurriedly got off Noel, her face flushed red because they were caught red-handed.
Noel, although embarrassed, maintained his solemn face. "This attack is much more obvious than the first one."
"Indeed." Rose nodded. "It looks like Anna has to go for this one."
Noel had already prepared himself for this attack. It looked like they were trying to separate Anna from him. As a result, the target could be either him or Anna.
Rui might be important, and killing her would hurt the Ardagan family. However, both Noel and Anna had the potential to become a spirit king. As long as they became one, the demon had a chance to fail even if Rui died.
And to achieve their goals, they had to separate Anna.
Noel had always considered the worst-case scenario. In other words, they should be facing both the third prince and the supreme devil. Those two alone had four demonic humans equal to spirit transcendence experts.
With Rui being lured by an ancient demon, he originally thought they would show one or two demonic humans to bring Anna away.
However, it looked like the attack was much more serious than he had originally thought. They actually used ten ancient demons, two to attack them and eight to stop the Beast Kingdom.
If they played it incorrectly, even Noel would fall.
Noel took a deep breath. Now that the situation turned out to be grimmer, he was adjusting the plan in his mind.
Yet, to his surprise, Anna actually said, "Noel. No need to adjust the plan. I'm going."
"!!!" Noel raised his eyebrows, not expecting Anna to suggest they fall into their traps. Still, her face was serious. It looked like she had made some preparations without him realizing it.
Noel asked, "What do you need?"
"I need to borrow Felicia and Grandel. That should be enough. My brother will most likely come out personally, so I'll join hands with his force to repel the enemy. As for the hidden danger, I have another solution."
Noel let out a long sigh. It looked like he didn't need to worry about her. She had prepared almost everything. All he needed to do was trust her.
Noel smiled. "I understand. I will trust you."
"Then, I'm going!" Anna waved her hand. "If I need anything, I will contact you through this."
Anna pointed at the ring. This was the reason they had never needed to worry about each other.
Although they couldn't communicate directly due to their inability to develop a new language based on the light the ring could emit, they at least had some codes that could be sent to each other.
If Anna were in danger, she would inform him, and vice versa. That was why Noel nodded his head easily. "Sure. Please be careful."
"You too."
As soon as Anna left, Noel turned to Rose, saying, "It looks like this will be an all-out war against the supreme devil and the third prince. How is our force?"
"I have ordered them on standby ever since Miss Rui received your order."
"I see." Noel nodded. "Have the 3rd to 8th battalions gather. I will personally command them.
"!!!" Rose widened her eyes in shock. "Are you…"
"Yes, it's time to show our battleship." Noel nodded.
Rose felt goosebumps. This was Noel's biggest trump card. Although airships had been known in the world, they had modified their airships further. There were only two airships that had been operating in his territory. They were the Eagle and the Falcon.
Eagle was used to transport items due to the airship being the biggest. Meanwhile, the Falcon had been going around to deliver some smaller things, including a small group of people or important messages.
However, the Hawk class airship was never used. Instead, they were modified heavily to become a battleship. From the very beginning, he wanted this Hawk class airship to be their combat power, not the others.
It was time to show the world the might of their battleships.
"Do you want to come, Rose?" Noel grinned. Rose was originally a member of the Demon Banner Army. Although she had switched to a managerial position, she was still a battle-hardened warrior.
Rose hesitated for a moment. "If I leave, who will protect this city?"
"Howard will take command of the rest of the army. Colice is going to take care of the internal matters."
"I see. Howard is good at defending against outside threats. But there is a high chance spies hidden in the cities will come out, so Colice will take care of it."
"Yes. So, are you going? I'm planning to take Tristan as well. It will be good for him to have an experience like this."
Rose smiled. "I guess I will take care of you again, like old times."
"Ahaha. You are not old."
"As always, you are a smooth talker." Rose chuckled. "I will gather our people right away."
"Good." Noel nodded. There was another reason he wasn't worried about the defense. The enemies wouldn't cause chaos within their territories. They wanted to move the people who could create chaos to one more place.
And that was the Demon Banner Army.
Oscar was indeed the best in terms of defense. But it was also his weakness. Because he was too focused on defense, disrupting Oscar with a sneak attack would make him focus on defending.
As a result, there would be no one to reinforce the Ardagan family. Considering they brought out multiple ancient demons, it was clear that Oscar had to come to help them.
Unfortunately, because of his weakness, there would be no help from Oscar. This was what he would do if they were the enemy. Of course, the enemy might not know about this. Either way, Howard and Colice were still here to stop everything from going wrong.
And it looked like he had hit the jackpot. The one reporting this time was not Rose. It was Laufey.
