Chapter 1395: He Is Known For Being A Quickshot, You Know?

Reeling from the blow of losing a competition in the one thing she had absolute confidence in winning, Stella dazedly excused herself, telling Zion she needed to go to the restroom to freshen up.

Belle sighed in her heart as she watched her daughter leave her companion, eventually deciding to follow her daughter to make sure if she was really alright.

But before leaving, she gave the teenage boy a long hard look.

Stella’s departure didn’t leave an empty space at all. Thirteen found himself surrounded by people praising him for beating the top score and asking if they could be his friend.

Thirteen being Thirteen didn’t mince his words and told them he had no intention to befriend random strangers.

Normally, his statement would’ve been misconstrued negatively, but people in the Archery Range ironically liked his aloof reply.

Celebrities and nobles had the same aura as Zion, giving off a "look but don’t touch" vibe.

"Sir, congratulations on beating the top score," one of the staff of the Archery Range approached Thirteen with a smile. "Fun fact, Sir, the record had been untouched for the past ten years. Your achievement is a miracle that will go down in the pages of history!"

Thirteen blinked once then twice before giving his reply.

"Are the people in this world this bad at archery?" Thirteen replied. "Even my old man can beat my score with his eyes closed. If no one in the past ten years has broken the top score, doesn’t that mean you simply lack skilled archers in this world?"

The Mascot who was about to approach the teenage boy from the back nearly coughed out blood after hearing his reply.

James hurriedly grabbed the arm of the mascot before it could reach Thirteen and smack the living lights out of him.

As a mere visitor of this world, Thirteen had no idea that Belle was the greatest, and strongest archer in the world of Hestia.

"Wow! You’re really strong, Big Brother!" a little kid said in awe. "Does this mean you can also beat His Majesty, King William, in a shooting contest? He is known for being a quick shot, you know?"

From a distance, the mascot coughed a mouthful of blood after hearing the little boy’s innocent words.

There was no malice in his voice, but the unintentional innuendo made James almost slip and fall down after he heard of it.

William’s wives, who had strong hearing, giggled, smiled, and even laughed when they heard the boy’s comment.

Of course, they knew that their husband wasn’t a quick shot. But the people of their empire treated him as a God.

Because of this, some commoners would playfully spread these kinds of rumors as a form of entertainment.

William didn’t really care about these rumors, understanding that people needed to have something to gossip about to make things interesting.

But hearing it in person was different.

"Oh?" the corner of Thirteen’s lips curled up into a smirk. "He’s a quick shot huh?"

"He is!" the boy nodded. "My great uncle said that he releases his arrows every three seconds. I think that’s pretty fast right?"

The mascot a good distance away from the boy was now on his knees, coughing out blood for real.

The emotional damage he received in that half a minute far surpassed the ones he had received from the battles he had fought in the past.

"I guess I’m better than him then," Thirteen said with pride. "At least, I don’t release in just three seconds. No wonder he has so many kids."

"Kids?" the kid blinked innocently. "Does being a quick shot in archery have a relation to having kids?"

The people listening to the conversation of the two couldn’t help but face palm.

Even the staff who had come to ask what kind of reward Zion wanted for becoming the new Top 1 couldn’t help but glance at the mascot being consoled by an old man in the distance.

"S-Sir, about the prize?" the Staff asked a second time.

"Right. What prizes do you have?" Thirteen replied.

"It can be any prize, Sir. His Majesty said that if anyone were to beat the top score in the Archery Range, he would agree to any of that person’s request."

Since William had been confident that no one could beat his wife’s score, including him, he boldly declared this reward to the theoretical person who would dethrone her.

The red-headed Half-Elf had almost forgotten about it. But now that the staff had mentioned it, he remembered that he did give such a statement ten years ago.

"Tell him that the prize is the hand of his daughter in marriage."

A suspicious young lady wearing sunglasses, a face mask, and a cloth covering her head spoke behind Thirteen.

The teenage boy glanced at the short girl who appeared behind him and noticed the pink hair sticking out of the cloth covering her head.

Clearly, she was none other than William’s dwarven wife, Chiffon, who had already approved of Zion’s credentials as her future son-in-law.

"Yes, that’s the reward that you should ask for."

Another suspicious individual wearing sunglasses, a face mask, and a cloth covering her head seconded Chiffon’s statement.

She was also one of William’s wives, Sidonie, who also wanted to mess with her beloved husband!

"Um... I don’t think his Majesty will be able to do that, My Ladies,’ the Staff replied while wiping the sweat on his forehead. "The princesses are not included in the prize pool."

"Tsk!"

"Tsk!"

Chiffon and Sidonie clicked their tongues, initially thinking that their suggestion could fly.

Unfortunately, it had been shot down before it could even take off, leaving them helpless.

"For the prize, I’d like to have that teddy bear over there," Thirteen said. "Those are part of the prize pool as well right?"

"Eh? Ah yes. They are." The staff nodded. "But, Sir. Those are ordinary prizes. They’re more like the freebie given to the participants of the Archery Competition."

"Then, I’ll have six of them," Thirteen replied. "You want one too right, Tiona?"

The black snake that was coiled on his neck nodded in agreement. No matter what gift her Master gave her, she’d treat it as a treasure. Even a freebie teddy bear would be treasured more than gold.

Hearing the reward he wanted, Chiffon and Sidonie both patted the teenage boy’s shoulder, while saying words like, "You’re a good guy," and, "As expected of my future-son-in-law!"

Even William’s other wives were quite impressed by Thirteen’s reply, improving their impressions of him.
