The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 566- Eleanor In Peril? Achieve Level 6!! (2)

Chapter 566: Chapter 566- Eleanor In Peril? Achieve Level 6!! (2)

Behind them stood Rolan, older than the others, his expression serious and alert. He looked around, constantly sweeping their surroundings.

And finally, Delicia. Tall, poised, and carrying an air of calm maturity, she radiated the comforting presence of an older sister.

Her soft smile immediately eased Eleanor’s nerves.

"Good morning, Kevin, Gwen, Rolan, Delicia. I hope you all will take good care of me."

Kevin immediately thumped his chest and declared. "Don’t worry, Lady Eleanor. I will definitely protect you."

"You mean we will protect you." Gwen gave him a sharp glare, correcting his sentence.

The liveliness of the two wasn’t an unusual thing.

Eleanor smiled and looked at them.

"We’ll have a smooth day, I promise." Delicia asserted.

Having gained her confidence back, she threw herself into training every day. The result, she was closer to reaching level 6 than anyone else here.

Eleanor nodded, not at all worried for her safety.

A dozen squires, each one standing on the threshold of knighthood, had been assigned as her guards. But this particular group was the one she favored.

Why? Because this one was less distant than the others.

The others, always serious, were only focused on achieving their mission. While it was not bad, it made it difficult for her to get along with them.

And so, while joking and laughing, they walked towards the set.

"So, today’s scene is the big action one, right? The kidnapping?"

As per the director of the movie, this was the part where a group of bandits try to kidnap her, only for her to escape their pursuit and arrive at the village they were in right now.

Eleanor nodded. "Yes, I’m a little... nervous."

Even though it was just a movie scene, it still made her nervous, given her checkered past.

"I know you’ll nail it," Kevin spoke with confidence.

Gwen and the others gave their assurance too.

Having traveled and worked with her, they all knew how talented she was. Frankly, even they were excited to see the scene play out.

Their voices overlapped, bolstering Eleanor’s own confidence.

By the time they realized it, the group had already reached the set.

Large wooden frames, backdrops, bustling workers, and scattered props... everything was systematically prepared.

From the amount of detail and time required to set up all of this, you could see how heavily the team has invested in this movie.

Eleanor’s appearance naturally did not go unnoticed. Especially given her star-like and graceful demeanor, even while just standing in a corner, she drew attention like a magnet.

What’s more, everyone was only waiting for her.

"Good morning, Lady Eleanor!"

"Welcome back!"

"Looking radiant as always!"

Warm greetings poured in from all directions.

Eleanor responded with practiced ease. Years in the industry had trained her to balance warmth with distance.

She just finished greeting the production crew when a tall figure approached her.

To describe him, he was a handsome man in a refined, classical way. Sharp jawline, gentle eyes, and golden-brown hair neatly styled behind into a ponytail. His presence carried the calm charm of a leading man, the kind that made hearts flutter effortlessly.

Needless to say, he was the leading actor for this movie.

"Good morning, Eleanor. You look... especially beautiful today."

Anyone could see the affection in his gaze. The slight nervousness, the careful choice of words, the way his attention centered solely on her.

He wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore.

That said, Eleanor simply inclined her head, not giving him the time of day.

"Good morning. Let’s do our best today."

She was polite, professional, and more importantly, distant. She neither encouraged nor rejected him outright, but her boundaries were clear.

Eleanor’s heart belonged to someone else. Other than Reinhardt, she wouldn’t date anyone. No matter how charming or kind others might be, none of them could stir even a ripple within her.

Compared to him, everything else felt muted, pale, and unreal.

Kevin and the others followed behind her, maintaining a loose formation. Since they were her escorts, other than the time when the camera was rolling, they stuck close to her.

To the crew, they looked like a decorative background, young squires playing bodyguard for a famous actress.

Of course, as the members of the Temple of Light, they might be young, but they were highly trained and disciplined. Their strength was without question.

As Eleanor was ushered toward her dressing area, Kevin’s brow suddenly furrowed. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a group of men entering the set.

Decked out in light armor, dirt stained cloaks, and battered weapons, they looked like they wore background prop costumes perfectly fit for the upcoming battle scene.

At a glance, they blended right in.

However, for some reason, Kevin couldn’t help but feel something was off. Thanks to living in the mountains with his master, constantly training in swordsmanship from a young age, he had developed his sixth sense.

Their steps were too heavy, steps measured, eyes sharp, and posture predatory.

Kevin subtly slowed, letting the group pass a little ahead. His gaze followed them, instincts screaming.

Looking at them reminded him of the wild monsters of the mountain his master had repeatedly cautioned him about. Dangerous!

"Hey, you see them?" he nudged Gwen.

The latter first furrowed her brows at his overly intimate, inadvertent way of touching a lady, then placed her attention on the group of men he was pointing at.

Gwen narrowed her eyes. Even from her perspective, the bunch looked trained.

"Hey, sir, those guys who just came in. Are they part of the cast today?" Kevin quickly found the director and asked.

The director glanced at the men he was pointing at.

"Hm? Them? Not sure. Casting isn’t my department, but if they’re here in costume, they must be part of the newly hired extras." He scratched his chin, unsure.

Since even the director was saying that, Kevin could only believe it. Be that as it may, the unease in his chest didn’t fade.

.

After a while, Eleanor came out from the dressing area, having already shifted to her role.

"Places, everyone!"

"Quiet on set!"

"Rolling!"

"Action!"

The clapperboard snapped, and the camera rolled.

Inside the grand mansion, Eleanor stood, grief stricken. This was the part where she was given an ultimatum by her adoptive family. To marry the son of a count, who the whole kingdom knew had a rotten personality.

As if the entire ordeal wasn’t enough, bandits invade the now empty mansion and kidnap her, only for her to somehow escape them and meet the prince, played by the lead actor.

A classic romance fantasy.

The scene played out according to the script; the bandits appeared. They burst through the doors with terrifying realism.

While smiling sleazily, eyes gleaming with bad intent, they broke the silence.

Then wihtout further ado, one of them grabbed Eleanor’s wrist and yanked her towards him. Another tore the candle from its stand, plunging the lighting of the set.

Eleanor gasped.

At first, it sounded like perfect acting. But then she started screaming and panicking. The scene felt too raw, too real to be staged.

"Cut...?"

The director hesitated, momentarily unsure. However, before he could even give his instruction, Delicia was already on the move.

"Stop the scene! Cut! Cut now!"

The scene was wrong. The bandits were too handsy with her. And Eleanor’s fear, it didn’t seem like rehearsed.

As someone who was close with Reinhardt, Delicia knew Eleanor’s checkered past and her trauma. She also knew that Reinhardt held her in high regard, his protection showing his clear intention.

What’s more, her mission was to protect her. She cannot let anything happen to Eleanor. Even if it was for the movie, she cannot let them just do anything. There were certain boundaries.

The directors and the crew, also spurred by her urgency, instructed to cut the scene.

However, the bandits did not stop, they simply laughed. Their harsh, vulgar sounds and the actions next instantly shattered the illusion everyone was in.

"Oi, relax, we’re just improvising." Saying that, one of them hooked an arm around Eleanor’s waist and hoisted her onto his shoulder while jeering.

Kevin’s expression turned serious, Gwen’s pupils shrank, and Rolan grabbed the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it at the slightest movement.

It was then that one of the bandits snorted and announced.

"Look at their faces. Did you idiots really think this was part of the movie?"

This revelation froze everyone, and blood drained from their faces.

Were these people actually trying to abduct the actress right from the set?

"Unggh... Mmff." Eleanor, who was bound and gagged, tried to struggle, but she was quickly knocked out with a slight hit at the back of her head.

"Whistle~ This beauty is our prize. I can’t wait to play with her. Well then, we will leave you all to your movie shoot. Let’s go, it’s time to bolt."

Before the man could finish his sentence, steel flashed.

Delicia was already there.
