Chapter 756: NEW RULES

AIDEN’S POV

By the time Aiden got back to the pack house, his body felt tired.

He headed up in to the rooms and found his brother already waiting for him.

Bale was sitting on a makeshift wheelchair.

“Did you find the moonstone?” Bale asked excitedly.

Aiden would have expected that after their last encounter Bale wouldn’t want to speak to him.

However it seemed that was all Bale wanted to.

“Good evening to you too.” Aiden said taking off his ceremonial brooch and placing it on the table.

He undid the buttons of his shirt.

“Did you?” Bale pressed.

“No not really. Not yet.” Aiden said casually. “I can’t discuss such matters with you for now until I’m certain.”

Bale snorted in disagreement.

“Who made that for you?” Aiden asked trying to change the topic to the chair.

“It was my friend Ruby.” Bale replied.

Aiden’s face fell.

That girl again.

“You should stay away from that girl.” Aiden warned as he took off his shirt.

Bale didn’t look pleased. “Why? Because she saw us arguing? Other servants had seen worse.”

Aiden shook his head.

Bale didn’t understand girls like that.

Malicious and cunning.

Bale was not the type to be friends with such beautiful girls.

He knew what she wolves wanted.

Gold and power.

They crawled and fought for it.

They would die for it.

And he knew that this one was trouble enough.

Swimming around naked in a lake.

That was enough to speak volumes about her character.

He wouldn’t be surprised that she had plans of grabbing Bale because of how gullible he could be to climb the ranks.

“You don’t know her.” Bale said.

Aiden gave a laugh. “You don’t know her.”

“She helped me find this chair simply because I needed fresh air from the rooms. At least she cared enough to give me that.”

“Your legs are barely even strong.” Aiden waved his hand at the ugly chair.

“This is the first time I’m having a seizure and I’m awake the next day. Whenever I have seizures I always feel too weak to do anything at all after I get out of coma after a week. This place is good for me. Can’t you see that?”

Aiden sighed heavily.

“You don’t need to get yourself into any trouble.” Aiden pointed out. “You would be returning home once the watch party returns on the safety of the road in a few days.”

“I’m not going anywhere.” Bale kicked against.

“You are GODDAMN IT!” Aiden swore in anger as he banged on the table.

Bale looked as though he had seen a ghost.

Aiden sighed heavily.

“What I am doing is for your own good. You will thank me later.” Aiden said.

Bale shook his head. “Anything you do is for your own good.”

And with that Bale pushed the wheels of the weak and pathetic chair out of the room.

But not before making sure to slam the door so hard the room shook.

Later at night, Aiden sat at the dining table eating his dinner alone except for a few maids and guards.

He had already sent message through an owl to his parents confirming what they all suspected.

Moonstone was definitely present here.

Which meant he would not be returning back home anytime soon.

He has considered informing his parents of Bale’s soon to be arrival but decided against it.

It would send their parents, especially mother in a state of panic.

Once they saw him back home, then they could be informed on what had happened.

Aiden ate quietly, the goose livers were not as bad as he had expected it to be and the wine was old and perfect.

“May I replenish your wine my lord?” The comely she wolf who assisted in his meals asked in the sweetest voice.

He knew that tone all too well.

A woman who was offering herself to him.

Before he could think of whatever she had to say, the doors were open and then Gamma Lionel stepped into the room.

Aiden set aside the half drank wine glass and leaned back in his chair.

Gamma Lionel was one of the lowest ranking Gammas of their annexes territories.

Now that there was evidence of moonstone in the pack, he has all of a sudden become relevant.

He was a wolf in his late forties.

He had strawberry blonde hair just like his arrogant son and had the exact same face except older.

“Lord Aiden.” Gamma Lionel bowed. “You sent for me.”

“Yes I did.” Aiden nodded as he looked at the man.

He tapped his drink and then picked up his fork, dipping it inside a slice of apple before setting it in his mouth.

“I’m dismissing your son from whatever duties he has.” Aiden said.

Lionel widened his eyes.

“What?”

“Whatever job or position he currently has will be terminated until I deem it fit for him to return.” Aiden said dryly. “If I deem it fit that is. And from the way your son has been behaving, I doubt that would be anytime soon. If ever.”

Lionel looked flabbergasted. “My Lord… I.. errr… my son is quite capable of his job.”

“His first day with me, I waited for him to finish from a whore house. A job he has been aware of since I arrived here and yet I had to get him out myself.” Aiden said as he dusted his hands. “My decision is final. I will be here for a short while and while I am, everything will go as I ask. That would be all.”

Lionel of course had nothing to say.

His mouth was slightly agape, but he nodded numbly and started to leave when Aiden added.

“And oh. One more thing. You had better be careful with me. The state of this territory is despicable. Do well or you might he out of the pack responsibilities you posses. Just like your son.”

Lionel left without saying a word.

Aiden leaned back into his chair and snapped his finger.

The girl came towards him and leaned down, showing her cleavage to him.
