The Beloved and Pampered Girl

Chapter 1545: Forest Trial

Chapter 1545: Chapter 1545: Forest Trial

"I knew I had the right person. You are exactly who I’ve been looking for." Qiu Baimu walked in from outside, a smile as gentle as a spring breeze lighting up his face.

"Master!" Qiu Zimo’s expression, his eyes filled with a smile, carried a perpetual calmness and a hatred as resolute as that of a wolf king with a broken leg.

This marked the sixth year that Qiu Zimo had been by Qiu Baimu’s side.

"That’s right. That gaze—it’s the same as it was back then.

Zimo, I want you to become the Young Master of the Baimu Organization. Can you do it?"

"As long as it’s what Master wishes, Zimo will accomplish it without fail."

"Good!"

And so, at the tender age of fourteen, Qiu Zimo entered the Trial Forest to undergo the most grueling trial of the Baimu Organization in order to win over the organization and earn their submission.

The wind howled through the forest, accompanied by the chilling roars of beasts.

Under the bright moonlight, a cheetah’s cold, shining eyes glimmered like frost, its blood-red tongue constantly licking its lips as if conveying to its prey that it was about to become its next meal.

Faced with such a sleek and agile cheetah, Qiu Zimo showed no trace of fear on her face. Instead, a hint of mockery and excitement played across her features.

The cheetah launched its attack first, pouncing furiously toward the girl.

Renowned for its speed, the cheetah seemed to the girl no more than a ridiculous clown. In the very moment it leapt toward her, she was already airborne, performing a graceful mid-air flip to position herself above the cheetah. With the shimmering dagger in her hand, she plunged it deep into the back of the cheetah’s neck. Not giving the cheetah any chance to retaliate, she swiftly twisted her wrist and severed its head cleanly, the cheetah’s skull carving a beautiful arc in the air before landing not far from its body.

Looking down at the dead cheetah, whose unseeing eyes were brimming with unwillingness, the corners of her mouth curled into a wicked smile.

"Remember this—I am Qiu Zimo. In your next life, if you see me, run faster!"

She continued deeper into the forest...

Through the pitch-dark woods, amid the howling winds and chilling beast calls, nothing could halt Qiu Zimo’s steady steps forward.

A faint noise didn’t escape Qiu Zimo’s keen ears.

Under the dim moonlight, her delicate and flawless ears twitched slightly.

She didn’t turn around; instead, her lips curled into a sly smile. As the sound approached, her hand shot out to grab whatever drew near.

Ice-cold eyes swept over it—

"So, it’s you again, little black mamba! Running into me is bad luck for you!" The black mamba may reign as a king to others, but to Qiu Zimo, it was nothing more than a mere worm.

With practiced ease, Qiu Zimo extracted the snake’s gallbladder, tossed it into her mouth, tilted her head back, and swallowed it in one gulp.

She then tossed the lifeless snake back to the wilderness it belonged to.

The deeper she ventured, the quieter everything seemed—but quiet is often the harbinger of storms.

Suddenly—

A discordant sound sliced through the stillness of the night.

Qiu Zimo furrowed her brows slightly; the sound was distinctly human.𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Following the noise, she walked forward...

She saw a boy, his clothes torn to shreds, his body covered in wounds, being savaged by a ravenous wolf.

Rather than intervening, Qiu Zimo preferred to watch the chaos unfold!

Leaning casually against a nearby tree with arms crossed, she observed the unfolding scene with amused interest.

Just when Qiu Zimo thought the boy was doomed to become the wolf’s next meal, the boy suddenly grabbed a sharp stone from beside him and struck hard at the wolf’s right eye.

The wolf, now in pain, staggered backward.

The boy’s actions had clearly enraged the wolf, which lunged toward him once more...

At this moment, Jian Dan chose to step in. Her icy dagger sliced directly at the wolf’s neck; if not for the wolf’s swift reaction, its head would have already parted ways with its body.

The boy, lying dazed on the ground, stared at the girl who had suddenly appeared before him, his heart filled with confusion—but even more so with joy.

He hadn’t expected to find another human being here.

Qiu Zimo turned to look at the boy sprawled on the ground. "Get up!" she ordered, without offering a hand to help him.

Her decision to intervene wasn’t out of pity—it was because the boy’s earlier actions had sparked her curiosity.
