The Beloved and Pampered Girl

Chapter 1879: A Hundred Ways to Make Him Agree

Chapter 1879: Chapter 1879: A Hundred Ways to Make Him Agree

Mu Yi was quietly watching Jian Dan sitting on the swing under the big tree in the garden.

A man came up to Mu Yi and said, "Yi, we’ve been searching for many days, and we finally found Kelsey’s whereabouts."

"Found him?" Mu Yi turned to the man beside him with surprise.

This man was none other than Mei, the person who had been with Mu Yi the longest and whom he trusted the most.

"Yes, and coincidentally, he’s currently in the country!"

"Bring him here as quickly as possible." As Mu Yi spoke, his gaze was fixed on Jian Dan in the distance, and a flicker of hope appeared in his eyes.

"But you know he’s already..." Mei started to say, but Mu Yi raised his hand to stop him.

"I have a hundred ways to make him perform the surgery on Jian." Mu Yi said coldly.

"Understood, I’ll take care of it right away." With that, Mei turned and left.

Mu Yi couldn’t help but smile as he looked at Jian Dan’s back.

"Trust me, you’ll soon, very soon be able to recover!"

For the next three days, Jian Dan remained in the same condition as before, not saying a word and without any expression on his face, just like a living corpse, only breathing.

Every time Mu Yi saw the wounds on Jian Dan’s face and body, his heart ached immensely. If he could, he genuinely wished he could suffer in Jian Dan’s place.

"Yi, he’s been brought back." Mei suddenly appeared, a smile on his lips.

These days, Mu Yi felt calm only when quietly watching Jian Dan. Whenever they were apart, he became more agitated, something Mei clearly understood was a result of guilt and self-blame.

Jian Dan was the person Mu Yi cared about the most, the one he least wanted to see hurt, the one he was willing to protect with his life. But this very person had ended up like this because of one of his decisions.

So, as long as Jian Dan did not return to his former self, Mu Yi’s heart could not recover.

"Really? That’s great, take me to him!" Mu Yi glanced at Jian Dan one last time before leaving, smiling, and then departing.

The two of them arrived at the basement, its dim light making it hard for Kelsey to see Mu Yi’s face. "Who are you people? Why have you brought me here?" Kelsey, a foreigner, asked in heavily accented Chinese.

"Don’t worry; we won’t harm you. We just need you to perform a minor surgery on a girl." Mu Yi sat down on the chair in front of Kelsey, speaking coldly.

"What? Surgery? I’ve long retired; I won’t perform surgeries anymore!"

"Retirement can be reversed; it’s simple. As I said, I just need you to perform a minor surgery on a girl."

"Once retired, always retired. I won’t break my word for anyone."

"Do you think you have the right to refuse?"

"I’m not young anymore anyway. Do you think I’ll be afraid of you?"

"Is that so? Let’s see if you will be afraid. Bring her up!" With that, a woman was dragged into the basement.

"Jenny, how are you here?" Kelsey’s expression turned shocked and terrified upon seeing the woman’s face.

Jenny was Kelsey’s daughter.

(She doesn’t speak Chinese, so from here Jenny’s words are understood to be in English.)

"I don’t know why they’ve captured me," Jenny replied fearfully, her voice trembling with nervousness.

"How dare you capture my daughter?" Kelsey asked, looking at the man whose face remained indistinguishable in the dim light.

"Why? Isn’t it obvious? I asked you to do something small, and you refused. So, I had no choice but to find a way to make you agree," Mu Yi responded with a cold laugh.
