The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home

Chapter 69 - The Shadow League

Chapter 69 The Shadow League

Yao Tang was the woman behind the Shadow League. She was known as the one who had beaten a group of international hackers-famous for their intelligence, skills, and prestige.

Ever since that day, no one could surpass her.

As years had passed, Yao Tang recruited Lin Shuang and Yun Tian-two nobodies, who’d later become the best at their game. Only then did the Shadow Leaguebegin to gain recognition through its continuous recruitments and projects.

Their only goal? To make more money.

!!

From what Yun Tian had gathered, Yao Tang’s annual revenues were worth at least two to three hundred million!

Half of it was poured into medical research, while the other half was spent on Yang Rong’s recovery.

Her recovery fees were worth 120 million a year.

That was why she didn’t have much to spend for herself.

It was Yao Tang who had erased all traces of Yang Rong’s case. From what everyone could gather was that Yang Rongwas simply just another face in the crowd. Even newspapers published about her case had been destroyed. Now, because of what the Ruan Family had done, Yang Rong was forced to step into the shadows once more.

There were 2,000 people in that Sports Center. While they had signed a confidentiality agreement, who could really guarantee their silence? After all, rumors are bound to spread. Soon enough, Yang Rong’s life would be filled with those blasted rumors once more. Her peaceful life had long since dissipated into the wind.

All her efforts had been in vain.

Fuck!

That bitch!

Lin Shuang gritted her teeth. Her boss had really done everything she could for that girl, and now it’s sinking down the drain. Oh, if she could just blow up that Ruan Building now, everyone would be satisfied!

Yao Tang took a deep breath before pulling away from her cigarette. “There’s no need for that.” She waved her hand in dismissal. “I’m sure the Ruan Family wouldn’t let Yao Ranoff this time around.”

“You’re right.” She chuckled. “If the girl had enough money to find private detectives, Yao Ran surely wouldn’t be safe.”

“Hm.” She gazed at the window. “Remember the sleeping jade I was telling you about? It seemed that its effects were genuine. It was quite an interesting sight.”

Lin Shuang raised her eyebrows. “Oh? Did you find someone to try it on?” Yao Tang exhaled as a large puff of smoke clouded over her features. “Yes. No side effects too. I’ve already used it on Rong Rong, so she could sleep well tonight.”

It was already two in the morning, and she still hadn’t woken up from that dreaded nightmare.

“That’s good.” Lin Shuang sighed in relief.

Her boss had exhausted herself in searching for possible recovery and treatment alternatives for the nervous system. However, despite her intelligence, she had made no progress on the claim. Now that she had obtained the sleeping jade, perhaps her boss could relax a little.

“Since that’s the case, do you still want to invest in the research lab?”

“We’ll invest in it first, then you can help me find more of these. Since I only have one, I couldn’t bear to waste it on research and development,” she responded.

“All right.”

After hanging up, Yao Tang threw her cigarette onto the ashtray and went back into her room.

Monday.

When Yao Tang had arrived at the school gates, everyone exchanged looks. Students had to avoid gasping at her entrance, and others immediately shuffled into groups to talk about the newest development.

“What do you mean she wasn’t expelled? What was the school thinking?” “Could there be some misunderstanding? Maybe it’s been faked? I mean, do you really think someone can paralyze an adult at the age of five? Even the thought of it is ridiculous!”

“Yeah, I was learning how to hold chopsticks at that age. I just don’t believe it.” “I just think that the school had really considered their decision. I mean, despite her looks, she doesn’t really seem like the kind of person who’d cause trouble.”

“But those documents look real, don’t they? Teacher Luo did say something about her being expelled from a previous school.”

And just like that, their trust on Yao Tang had wavered once again.

When Lu Yan had entered Class 1, she was immediately overwhelmed by the endless chatter. Who’d have thought that Class 1 would be discussing topics other than their latest homework and assignments?

Her expression froze just a bit when she caught a glimpse of Luo Hua walking down the corridor. “Don’t talk about it anymore,” she reminded her classmates. “The teacher is here.”

Hearing this, the students hurriedly returned to their seats and pretended to read through their assigned literature.

Yao Ran accidentally met Lu Yan’s cool gaze. Instead of saying anything, the latter simply made a sound of disdain and turned away.

What was that about?

When it was almost time for their morning reading, Ruan Qing appeared at the entrance of Class One. No one paid much attention to the girl, thinking that she was just late for class.

It wasn’t until she grabbed all of the books she had on the table did everyone take a second look.

The noble girl was not in good spirits. Gone were her perfect locks and pristine features. The dark circles in her eyes were prominent, and her lips were dried and blue-probably from the cold. Her hands were trembling as she grabbed the last book she had left behind on her desk and shoved it into her bag.

Ruan Qing wore her bag and walked towards the exit, avoiding the students’ curious gazes. Only when she had reached Yao Ran’s seat did she pause. Her eyes flashed with hatred, and she swung her hand.

Pa!

Everyone dropped their books in surprise as they stared at Yao Ran, who was now covering her face. What the hell just happened?

The corner of her lips was cut, with faint traces of blood sliding down to her chin. Beside her was Ruan Qing’s imposing figure, with her hand still high up in the air. She breathed heavily.

“You deserve it,” Ruan Qing spat through gritted teeth.

Without another word, she stomped out of the classroom.
