The Brother Who Hates Me

36 Notice For Disinheritance

Jordan's jaw dropped reading the document sent by his father' attorney to his office.

Is this for real? He doesn't know what to react. He was so dumbfounded right now.

He called for Lou and gave him the documents.

Lou was also shocked. "Have you asked Senior Choi about this? I thought he doesn't interfere to your private life."

The document was a notice for disinheritance.

There were conditions cited for the disinheritance to be voided. And the one thing that had caught his attention was the word marriage.

Jordan cancelled his scheduled appointments to meet his father who was currently at home with Raven.

"What's the meaning of this?" Jordan asked his father directly.

"Do I have to explain? It's all written in there." Senior Choi replied simply.

Jordan's forehead creased, he was completely confused. How come his father was calmed? 'Did he suddenly change his mind on not to meddle to his personal life.'

"Son, I am not getting any younger, same with you. You should be married at that age or might as well give me grandchildren to play with already." Senior Choi said bluntly.

Raven, who suddenly appeared with a tray of snacks, looked confuse hearing Senior Choi's words.

However, Senior Choi just ignored her and looked at Jordan with a serious face and said, "I haven't asked you for anything before. You know how I've been supportive with you to all the things that you chose and wanted to do along the way. And up to now, I still am."

Senior Choi sighed deeply and added, "That's why you still have the freedom to choose who you wanted to marry. It's just that I am setting a time frame for that to happen and I am giving you an ultimatum so you wouldn't slack-off with that requests of mine. I'm sure you already check the authenticity of the document. So I expect you make a move now as fast as you can otherwise you will be stripped-off with everything. Just imagine losing everything in a snap with that entire hard works you've put up to."

"Well, my request was just so simple and easy don't you think?" Senior Choi asked looking serious as he stared to his son.

Then he shifted his gaze to Raven and plainly said, "Well it would be better if you can marry someone like our big Raven. That will definitely make this old man happy. I will be more at peace if that happens."

Sincerity in Senior Choi's eyes was very clear as he said those words.

Jordan sighed and replied, "You know well how I loved the company and how I work hard for it to excel and be one of the best worldwide. You will have a daughter in law and I will not make you wait for that one year timeline of yours so consider that disinheritance of yours voided already."

After he said those words, Jordan walked back. No one saw how wide his smile was from the back except for Lou who was eating a snack he got from Raven.

His father just gave him a solution with his options thing that was haunting him for days now. In that instant, he had a third option without looking bad at Raven's sight. He could almost kiss his father as Senior Choi was saying his plea in front of Raven.

Then he became serious, thinking why his father was making his move suddenly? Is his father feeling discourage with the positive result of the operation?

'I am sure he was afraid that something might go wrong.' Jordan shoulders suddenly dropped. He won't let his father alone on his battle. He will make sure he will be by his side at all times no matter what happens.

Meanwhile, Raven was still in disbelief hearing the conversation between father and son.

It was without a doubt about marriage. 'What exactly was going on?' she thought before she sat in front of her father and read the document Jordan left.

"Are you even serious with this?" Raven blurted out to her father who just shrugged his shoulders.

"What if Jordan just gets someone out there or be in a relationship with someone he doesn't like just to satisfy you? You will ruin his life if that happens. Why don't you just let him be? He's not that old to be pushed for marriage." Raven explained not batting an eye to her father.

Senior Choi sighed deeply and said, "I have decided and that's final. If you pity him then why don't you help him out?" He rose up after saying those words leaving the confused Raven behind.

She was wondering what's going on with his father. It's not so like him to meddle around with their private lives.

Senior Choi returned to his room. He held a picture frame of him and Jordan which was displayed on his table. Father and son smiling happily, Jordan hugged and kissed him in the picture. It was when he won first place in the tennis competition of their school.

Then he shook his head thinking of the nonsense plans his son were making. Attorney Gray had reported to him Jordan's plans and the documents he requested under his name.

'He should just ask me plainly. I will gladly help him if he was that desperate to lock Raven up to his cage. That brat, just how long does he plan to use me as an excuse?' Senior Choi laughed when he thought how desperate his son was to get Raven.

His brat son had planned to blackmail his big Raven because of the company shares he had transferred to Raven's name without the latter knowing.

Raven's shares had the security clause for her own safety. It can't be transferred to anyone except for her immediate family. Senior Choi had made sure that his other family members and relatives won't be able to bully Raven. He was also sure that Raven was not greedy and will be willing to return those shares anytime thus, that clause was added and pointed out without her knowing.

"Tsk. tsk." he shook his head. How come that son of his was not thinking straight?

Jordan was doing the shotgun wedding recklessly. So shameless! Just to secure himself on Raven without even thinking if he will look bad at Raven.

Jordan's plan was to catch Raven with a contract marriage in order to get her company shares. Senior Choi was presuming that after the marriage, that son of his will make Raven fall for him deep in the process. What a cliché move.

Well, his meddling was just the same. The only difference is he was helping Jordan not to look greedy for power and money trying to get Raven's company shares.

"I helped you already son. Now, all will depend on you." Senior Choi murmured as he inhaled and exhaled deeply. He just hopes that everything turned out fine with his prying around.
