Chapter 914: Chapter 893-Changing Hearts.

"I let you rule over me all this time, not because you were bigger than me nor because I gave you the lease of my life, but because I was running away, and now, when I wish to shine, you shall not be able to shackle me. Tell me, my husband, King Tharvin, what power do you have to stop me?"

As Eleanara finished her words, her aura encompassed the room, filling it up with her peace, her power, her prestige and might taking over everyone, and even both the duo of father and son felt the pressure, the might coming down at them, the will of the woman now reborn mixing in the past and the present.

The eyes of King Tharvin shook, a sense of embarrassment and a mild anger flashing through his body, but when his gaze landed on his wife, it deflated like a balloon, because at that moment, looking into those shining eyes with power, might, and pride, a remembrance came of a certain past he had always wanted to avoid.

In the depth of his heart, Tharvin had a twisted fascination with how he had gotten Eleanara, but deep in his heart he always held a certain fear that he was not worthy of the woman in front of him, and that was also the reason that the love of the mother of Nathalia had healed him, a certain bruised ego he never knew how to fully get over.

Tharvin felt his spine tremble all over him for a moment, his mind flashing all over him as the memory of the past corroded him, a memory of the scene flowing through him, the scene of the past when Eleanara used to shine brighter than any other in the sky, a time when she was something far beyond his reach, a time when he didn’t reach her level of skill or ability.

And right now, he felt the authority covering him. It wasn’t just simple power or aura, it was the true bloodline ability of the dwarves that stood above many and commanded over a lot, the ability of the special dwarven bloodline that had gone on to build their legacy of power that no others could ever hope to fight back at all, one that demanded absolute respect and loyalty.

’She is back.’

Tharvin felt some kind of block in his chest as he thought of this, his eyes flashing with a certain maddening glint as he understood what had taken place. Just one look at the eyes of the woman he has spent a lot of time with made him understand now that the past woman who hid behind the walls, one who made a deal with him to be locked away in this palace, is no more.

The one now in front of him was the past Eleanara, a woman that the world saw as a rising comet, one that comes from that family of power and prestige that even he, with his title, cannot hope to go against.

’It seems she has overcome the darkness that held her heart all this while.’

Tharvin gripped tightly over the chair he sat in, his pressure banging against the place, and his eyes feeling its weight turned towards the only outsider in the place, and the variable that had turned all of the situation upside down.

’What did he do?’

Tharvin thought about that certain young man who has been changing everything around here. He has to be the only variable that can cause such a change all of a sudden.

’This brat, that’s why he let everything go on! But what did he do?!’

The question raged in the heart of Tharvin, his mind being run with several ideas of the situation as he tried to come up with any rational way in which this could have happened. Yet he kept coming up dry; he couldn’t believe that this youngster had ended up changing all this, and he was dying to know how he did it all.

Tharvin wanted answers!

"But, mother, giving your guardianship isn’t something small; this might affect everything on a large scale, it might even take back the plans of the war council."

Orik spoke with some backbone to him, even though he had already connected the change of his mother towards the young human male of Austin, and even he was burning with curiosity to ask about how all of these changes had taken place. And Eleanara, the new and evolved version, could see the changes in her family, and knowing them, she also had an idea of what they would try to do after this meeting.

Thus for a moment, she closed her eyes, her mind replaying the scene of her meeting with the young boy—his purity, his innocence, that drive in his eyes to see and only do good, the small changes in his ways—all of them being something she never thought she would be able to see in this corrupt little world, and no matter what, she wanted to protect that flame. She wanted to see it burn and take down the darkness with him, and unlike the last time, this time she would be a stern umbrella protecting this flame that might change in the world.

Thus, she relaxed her smile, her expression turning a bit more gentle as the image of Austin flashed in her mind. Thus, without question, her full presence covered the room, blasting from within her, making the two men inside the room grunt, the eyes of Tharvin and Orik widening as they felt this power holding over them—one of authority and control—as Eleanara, opening her eyes, looked at the two of them, her husband and her son.

"I will say this for the one last time. Austin Lionheart will get my guardianship, which means he will be like family here. He will get the respect royalty gets here, and he will even get the respect and protection from my family. And no one—I mean no one—will try to hurt him or question him, or you will find out what happens then."

Her verdict being final and her command the greatest, it pressed against the word, compounding, and it only caused a hint of jealousy to burn in the heart of Orik, his dislike for Austin only getting bigger.

This wasn’t a simple situation. This move would change the entire political map in a different structure, and just as Orik was going to open his mouth again, Tharvin raised his hand, blocking off his son. He could see that there was nothing he could say or do that would change the situation, and for once in a long time, he felt powerless.

The eyes of his wife were telling him, reminding him of the deal they made, while also reinforcing the fact that right now he had no hold or power to change the situation. Anything he would do now would only push away the strength he had collected till now. It was a simple and perfect checkmate.

’I underestimated that kid. He is no simple boy.’

A certain wariness fills the heart of this king, as his mind considers the different interactions with that young man. He comes to understand that, unlike his other family members who act with strength, this young man is more of a snake hiding in plain sight. Now, having entered this place on his own accord, invited by the king, he leaves with the full support of a kingdom that no empire or other realm wishes to become an enemy of.

Who would be foolish to do so?

’With one swift move, he secured the safety of his family, his own safety, and even put some wariness towards the war council. He played it smart.’

Tharvin’s mind flashing with a certain respect for the young man, his mind playing through the support he got from the others, and now seeing that he is not only someone immensely talented and gifted, but also someone who knows how to play the game—how to keep his political might strong—his resistance against the alliance with his daughter wavered.

A man like that, a man strong and who knows how to keep the balance, is someone Tharvin can understand, who will take good care of his daughter. And when he slowly started to think, the young man in question certainly has some strength now starting to form around him that will make it difficult for anyone to just make a move against him or his family.

’Huh... guess even the arrogance of time has made me blind.’ Tharvin thought, holding back his son as he replied: "Okay, I agree." His words made Eleanara smile, since she knew it would finally reach her. With a nod, she spoke, "Good, then let’s let the important ones know."
