The Conquerors Path

Chapter 968: Chapter 966-Time To Fuck Things Up.

’I have a lot to do.’

My mind kept running at hyper speed all around. Within a single moment, things have exploded. Leaving aside the whole girl problems, there are still the issues that come with all the touchings of what I had done. I had defeated the juggernaut of my time in pure strength alone, which, in a sense of being, if I wanted, could rip that title for myself, making it mine.

But it also opens up a whole new avenue of questions that have been whispering about in the world for some time.

What is my limit?

To the world, none of them has ever seen my limit. Just when they think they got a clue on me, I brought out something else: mana to mana level fighting, basic combat, and even now, strength fighting. What else do I have in store for the world to see? Do I even have a limit? And the most burning question that has been asked around everywhere and every day: what is my Origin realm?

Only my closest allies have even an inkling of my level, but to the rest, it’s a burning question everyone wanted to know. Right now, I seem to be a battle genius ranked the best in any levels, and I have fought them in groups and now alone, I took them down with pure strength. So how strong will I be when I go all out? That question is no doubt making several powerful layers feel anxious, very anxious indeed.

Until this moment, they all just kept watching, but I am sure now that soon they will start to move, and now, with my luck seemingly going down, I am sure things that will not be helpful to me will start happening all around me, which won’t be good at all. In fact, right now even the adults will start moving, ’cause now they are nervous.

Into the future, they want to control me, use me to establish the power the war council has lost, and as I said before, I am their perfect vessel to use for the spotlight. And until now, they remain watching, seeing, and understanding, but that won’t be the case, because the power, growth, and everything I am showing now will go forth to demonstrate that perhaps when I reach the upper limit, I might become something they will never be able to control.

’They need to act now and act fast.’

I can already feel the change around me, which means soon things will start to move in reality, and I haven’t even finished placing all of my cards in the war council.

’Some things will have to be moved up.’

My eyes flashed with a certain hint of greed at those thoughts. Even more, none of the girls really came to meet up with me, not because they didn’t want to, but because they were all preoccupied with their own thoughts. The change affected them in a big way, meaning that now the game has changed.

Though even then, all of them did send me a message congratulating me for it and expressing their apologies, and I understood. Right now, the changes that happened to them are making them change their plan—not to mention it has opened up several truths I was wishing to keep hidden, which means an all-out situation is imminent.

Even above that, I will also need to keep in touch with all of them to make sure that they don’t suddenly try to do anything to kill each other, and if they did, I would need to make sure it doesn’t really happen at all.

’Urgh.....so much stuff.’

I quickly send a message to my friends and the rest contact them to not come and meet me now, requesting a time to just clear my head—else the rest of them will come running up to me. The good thing in all this is the fact that what I wanted to do was established: I gained back the pride and morale of the rest of the students, raising the stats, and I showed them they won’t simply be able to suppress me at all, even if they want to.

’I need to settle some things.....’

Just as I was thinking of this, a sudden message came to me. I quickly read through it, which made my expression turn a bit down.

’Fuck...I am not getting any break at all.’

My head throbbed, understanding what had gone down, and just as I was relaxing down the door to my room was knocked on—to which I tapped at Elda, who, with a pout, woke up from my lap and sat down close.

"Come in."

As soon as I finished speaking, Elysia and Nihil entered—their faces didn’t have a good look to them.

"So you heard...."

Elysia muttered in a light voice, sounding grave, to which Nihil added.

"How did this happen!?"

’How indeed. I had closed off the majority of all, if not every, information about it, yet this has happened....’

Elda, hearing these words, sounded confused, even becoming a little worried as she asked.

"What happened?"

To which I, with a smile, patted her head, making her feel better.

"Don’t worry about it; it’s just something your big bro has to deal with."

As I said so I could see that Elda wasn’t satisfied with the answer, but she didn’t jump into it. I stood up from the sofa, slowly stretching myself with a smile.

"I need to go and deal with something; it’s important."

"Okay, but be home for dinner."

Elda added a condition that made me smile.

"No promises."

With that, I started to walk out of the room—Nihil and Elysia catching up behind me as we started to walk through the hallway towards the teleportation centre. My steps were light as I walked through the way out of the coliseum, but the moment I stepped more into an open area, I started to catch the eyes of everyone: whispers everywhere and even the shouting of passing fellow students urging me on.

Many even wanted to come close to talk to me, but I had the overall don’t fuck with me now aura around me—swirling and giving a menacing look—which kept all of them at bay.

"It seems the war council has made their move; the tower is surrounded."

Nihil suddenly spoke up, his words being very heavy. Elysia was worried and biting her lips a bit.

"Calm down; we will get through this."

I replied with a calm tone as I walked towards one of the closest teleportation centres—all around me everyone was watching me, whispering about the victory, and many were chanting and even calling out my name. Thankfully, my aura of don’t talk to me right now was keeping all of them at bay as I moved through the open area.

The nearest teleportation centre being a 15-minute walk away—during which my mind was still on hyper drive—I could feel the gaze of Celestinia falling on me: a bit worried but mostly calculating what was happening and trying to perhaps use it to her advantage. In the meantime, my mind ran through several plans to deal with this sudden situation.

The situation which points toward the fact that the news has broken out everywhere on the top brass about the fact that one of the QuiverLords was actually a fully corrupt!

Yup, that news about that bastard finally broke—which means the situation to control the narrative has gone out of hand, meaning the narrative can be whatever the War council will want it to be: perhaps even negatively pulling down the whole council levels to something that will be bad in a global way.

’And I won’t let that happen.’

My eyes shone with a resolve to break everything in my way, feeling the harshness all around me.

’So this is the backdraw of being a conqueror, fate’s punishment in a way.’

[Indeed, you were outside the scope, and then you came in, but that doesn’t mean fate is happy about it. To conqueror is to face resistance, so the world will try to bring you down—to make sure you don’t get to conquer everything. The fate of the conqueror after all comes with its own baggage.]

’Just like everything else.’

I smirked as I kept walking forward. As my status as one of the holders, I quickly got myself approved for a travel outside the academy—one of the many perks—but that doesn’t stay the same for Nihil and Elysia. For them, they will need to put in the request for a trip outside early, and it will take the limited time before it can be passed. For me, it will all be instant.

’I can’t play it safe anymore.’

With such thoughts twirling around in my head, I spoke to the two.

"Quickly set in a request to travel outside the academy and come out as soon as you can; I will let the Dean fast process it."

My words, ringing out, to which the two of them accepted it quickly accepted, broke out from me, and thus breaking away, I quickly reached the transportation centre. My status was letting me bypass everything quickly, as everyone kept looking at me.

"I would like a transport out of the academy."

I spoke with a smile on my words—the receptionist took it down as she took in my approval for outside transfer, noting it down, after which someone came to lead the way. For outside transfers, it’s a delicate process and is done quite carefully, so I was led to a more open, larger room where, giving a nod to the mages, the transportation was started.
