Chapter 387 - Ambush(02)
Chapter 387: 387 - Ambush(02)
Khaedryss was certainly the most excited about being surrounded.
After a long time without a worthy opponent, she could finally move her bones with full force.
In the end, she was an ancient war machine, born and bred on nothing but carnage.
The first beast left the protection of the undestroyed part of the forest, a giant boar at the peak of the flowing meridian realm.
It barely made it halfway before Khaedryss launched herself towards it, her long, sharp teeth tearing through the boar’s tough hide, breaking its spine.
A roar full of pain and despair escaped the boar’s mouth, its throat soon filling with blood.
Khaedryss didn’t finish it off, leaving its crippled body behind before moving on to the next beast.
Qingyi and Qianyao were obviously not left behind.
The handsome young man drew his heaven-defying thunder sword while the golden-eyed beauty raised a single hand, a huge sword appearing in her grip.
Above the two of them, exactly two dragons appeared.
The first, a long serpentine dragon, its golden scales glistening in the light of that false sun, its bestial face bearing a calm and gentle gaze.
The second, a dragon with black scales, purple eyes and a face filled with nothing but hatred, its roar spreading for dozens of kilometers.
Qingyi spun his body in the air, calling for one flaming spear after another, hurling them towards the hundreds of beasts that surrounded them.
The first spears were thrown at the weaker spirit beasts, while the last three, aimed at those above the Realm of the False Immortal, hit the huge bodies with powerful explosions, severing limbs and even decapitating an unlucky one.
In all honesty, Qingyi no longer felt any pressure from beasts like that.
Every slash of the heaven-defying thunder sword, even without using any technique, destroyed everything dozens of meters in front of him, cutting through the flesh, bones and muscles of beasts with cultivations far superior to his own.
Even so, he couldn’t ignore those of the True Immortal realm. They were on a completely different level.
The heaven-defying thunder sword slashed through the neck of a giant red-butt monkey, decapitating it in a single moment before suddenly stopping.
Qingyi raised his face, an intense chill running down his spine as he turned around.
His body was engulfed by an intense aura, no less than that of a beast at the peak of the Immortal False Realm - no, even stronger.
That aura came from a beast in the realm of the true immortal.
Qingyi turned his body, a single projectile tearing through the air towards him.
It was a thorn, similar to the thorn of a plant, passing through Qingyi and grazing his cheek.
"Poison..." Qingyi spoke, touching his cheek.
He contracted his muscles, moved his Qi and in a single moment, the small wound disappeared.
On the horizon, the beast responsible for that attack finally revealed itself, crawling across the forest floor, not unlike a carnivorous plant, one of the most unique types of spirit beasts Qingyi had ever seen in his life.
"H-husband... are you going to need any help?" Qianyao asked from the other side of the battlefield, her huge sword hitting the ground with a thud, decapitating two beasts with a single movement.
"No..." Qingyi smiled, casually sidestepping as dozens more poisonous thorns flew past him.
That beast was powerful, a direct hit was sure to seriously injure him, but fortunately, it didn’t seem to be very intelligent.
The kind of creature that moved only by instinct simply because it didn’t have a brain developed enough to even have anything beyond instinct.
For Qingyi, honestly, this was a great opportunity.
He could finally test his new technique in real combat.
Qingyi calmed his breathing, prepared the heaven-defying thunder sword, Qi of fire, sword and lightning uniting into one around the blade, the temperature around it rising at an alarming rate.
Even dozens of meters away, trees turned to ash and everything immediately burst into flames.
With a smooth thrust, Qingyi launched himself forward, using the Heaven-Shattering Divine Slash.
The spirit beast tried to defend itself, its roots as sharp as razors flying towards Qingyi one after the other, tearing up the ground as they moved like serpents.
But it was no use.
They turned to ash the moment they got close to Qingyi’s body, the temperature around them exploding more and more.
The beast simply couldn’t react as Qingyi swung the Heaven-defying Thunder Sword right at the greenish stalk, so thick it looked like a log.
The beast tried to move its Qi from the realm of the True Immortal’s, but even this was unable to resist Qingyi’s blade, which sank into its body.
A desperate hiss echoed throughout the forest.
The very space in front of Qingyi seemed to tear before collapsing in a heat-filled shockwave that, like the flames of Khaedyrss, swept everything in hundreds of meters around him.
The head of the plant fell to the ground with a thud, slightly scorched, its reddish flower rapidly losing strength.
With a soft sigh, Qingyi only turned towards Qianyao and Khaedryss, who already seemed to have cleared the battlefield, getting rid of the last of the beasts.
Khaedryss already wanted to start eating right there, but Qingyi decided that it was better if they just hurried along.
If those were the beasts present there during the day, he simply didn’t want to deal with anything that lived there at night.
Climbing onto Khaedryss’ back and storing everything in the world of Ruxue’s mind, they took to the skies again, flying faster than ever, the tree on the horizon getting closer and closer.
Fortunately, there were no further problems and after about five hours of travel, Khaedryss landed at the base of the huge tree, anxiously returning to the world of the mind.
She had hunted hundreds of prey, some more powerful than those present in the world of the mind, some even capable of wounding her.
Obviously, she was excited to eat, just as much as Qingyi was excited to meet the matriarch.
Was an incomparable beauty with massive tits and perfect traits asking too much?
