The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 510 - Impossible.

Chapter 510: 510 - Impossible.

Monarch David Valemont and his wife were having a peaceful dinner when suddenly a fork slipped out of the king’s grasp, hitting his plate with a clang.

He stood up, his eyes widening.

His wife looked confused at first, but it only took a moment to feel what her husband was feeling.

"My little Isabel..." She stood up suddenly, the mana in her body exploding as she ran towards her bedroom window.

She was a mage of equivalent power to a true mortal, after all, and one with riches great enough not to worry about anything.

"Darling, wait!" David stood up, holding out his hand just in time to see his beloved walk through the glass window.

"Ugh..." He grunted, waving for one of his guards to take care of that before following right behind.

His eyes immediately fell on two approaching figures.

A dark-skinned woman of transcendental beauty and a young man who looked very different from the first time they met.

He was a little taller, clearly stronger, his face as sharp as ever and his eyes taking on an incomparable beauty, like a sea of purple stars.

Between his long black hair, sharp, curved horns rose menacingly.

It was as if he were no longer human.

The king landed on the ground, watching his daughter and wife embrace lovingly before looking at his son-in-law again.

He tried to scan him, and soon realized. The man in front of him was a monster.

How could such raw power even fit into one person?

"Father-in-law, you look younger, hahaha," Qingyi laughed, pulling David into an embrace.

The king didn’t know how to react, pausing for a brief moment before sighing.

"I’m incomparable to the younger generation, son-in-law. What on earth have you been through to become so strong in such a short time? What’s going on in the Rose Empire?"

Qingyi paused for a moment, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Isabel, who was talking to her mother.

"A few things, but I think we’d better talk about it inside."

"Hm... all right," David nodded, entering the palace alongside Qingyi, with Isabel and her mother right behind.

"There’s going to be a big war soon," Qingyi said, drawing a startled look from David.

"Whose big war?" David asked, coming into a large empty hall and offering Qingyi an armchair.

"I’m still not sure... The patriarch of the Vaeldrinn is dead and the emperor..." Qingyi moved his Qi, sensing every part of the palace and making sure no one was listening. "He’s probably a demon cultist."

"Impossible!" David punched the table, his eyes full of shock. "The emperor was here a few years ago, I’ve even visited him in person. Why would a man like him indulge in heresy?"

Qingyi didn’t answer.

David didn’t know that he wasn’t talking about the heretics who use black magic in this world, but about a being so powerful that, if he existed in the immortal heavens, a single thought would be enough to kill everything that lives.

One breath, one snap of the fingers.

Just as Qingyi could kill everything that lives in the mortal heaven, the Heavenly Demon could kill everything that lives in the immortal.

Knowing such power and having an idea of the Heavenly Demon’s ambitions, Qingyi knew well what he used to conquer the emperor of the Rose Empire.

The opportunity for Ascension.

But in the end, what David thought mattered little.

With a sigh, Qingyi stood up. "What do you say we have a friendly duel?"

David looked at his wife and daughter, thinking for a moment before nodding.

"Come on, I want to see how much stronger my son-in-law has become, hahaha."

Soon after, the two of them made their way to the king’s personal arena, swords sliding out of their sheaths before they both advanced.

David didn’t hold back, he knew it wasn’t necessary.

His body became a blur and his mana burned with power, his blade tearing towards Qingyi’s neck.

The handsome young man smiled, bending slightly and then defending.

He didn’t use Qi or mana, he didn’t even move his feet.

All the power of David’s attack seemed to be sent sideways, a deep cut tearing the arena in two.

Immediately, David retreated, spinning in the air and launching two more mana attacks, bluish slashes opening up the air in front of him.

Both landed on Qingyi’s chest with powerful thuds, but still, the young man didn’t move.

His clothes weren’t even stained by the attack.

David landed, breathing heavily, unable to believe his own eyesight.

He looked down at his own hands, gripped tightly around the handle of his beautiful sword.

Since he was young, he had always been known as a great talent. He was known as the Sword Prince and then, after succeeding his father, he gained the title of Warrior King.

Even knowing how insignificant Valemont was and having extensive knowledge of the world around him, it was still shocking for him to see someone like Qingyi.

Fortunately, Qingyi was on his side and, not only that, Qingyi was his son-in-law.

David thought about attacking again, but quickly saw that it was useless.

Shaking his head, he immediately put his sword away.

"Thank you for your teachings, son-in-law, you have truly opened my eyes..." David said, bowing his head.

"It’s no big deal, father-in-law," Qingyi laughed, patting David on the shoulder.

Turning his eyes, he opened the system store, spending a small fortune on lust points.

The moment he saw the items in Qingyi’s hands, David couldn’t help but be confused.

"Take the potions in order, one by one, for you and your wife," Qingyi said, handing David about twenty potions.

He then took out two rings.

These were special defensive artifacts, just in case the emperor decided to attack the kingdom of Valemont.

After all, Qingyi couldn’t be their eternal babysitter and, should anything out of his control happen, he would need to make sure they were safe.

Handing over the two rings, Qingyi said, "If you and mother-in-law are in danger, these will teleport you to safety. Always wear them."

David held all the items in his hands carefully, looking at the man in front of him.

It only took a moment for David to realize how valuable these items were.

Probably more valuable than his entire kingdom.

Didn’t Qingyi know that? Or was he so rich to be able to give away items like that without even turning his face?
