Chapter 512 - The Enlightened Sky Empire
Chapter 512: 512 - The Enlightened Sky Empire
The Enlightened Sky Empire, like the Rose Empire, was a colossus.
Even though its borders did not stretch across the entire continent, its influence was still there, present from the morbid frozen plains of the North to the tropical forests of the beast-men in the South.
With a population of billions and an army containing thousands of True Immortals, the Empire was simply unmatched.
The Enlightened Imperial Capital, home to over twenty million souls, was protected by walls stretching for hundreds of kilometers.
They were thick enough to stop Immortal Emperors and even experts from the Astral Body Realm, if enough force was allocated to their defensive arrays.
Above the golden walls, there was also the Emperor’s Hand, a colossal vessel built in cooperation between the empire and the Five Colors Pavilion.
It was over two kilometers long, armed with Qi cannons capable of killing Immortal Emperors with a single shot and even taking down experts from the Astral Body Realm.
Along with the power of the Enlightened Emperor himself and his armies, that was the backbone of the empire that had stood for over two hundred thousand years.
In the midst of all this, flying alongside hundreds of other flying ships, Meilin’s ship attracted little attention.
"Ugh... I don’t miss this damn place one bit..." Ruxue said beside Qingyi, who was looking at the city with admiration.
The capital of the Rose Empire was impressive, as was the capital Vaeldrinn, but compared to the capital of the Enlightened Sky Empire?
It was difficult to even put them on the same level.
"Uh? What do you hate so much here? It seems like a nice place." Qingyi smiled, pulling Ruxue into a hug and giving her butt a gentle pat.
Ruxue’s lips parted for a moment before closing, giving Qingyi no answer.
"It’s just... a rotten place," she replied, blushing deeply.
"Be careful while you’re here, don’t let your guard down, okay?" Ruxue lifted her face to Qingyi before returning his hug, planting a soft kiss on his lips.
Soon after, she immediately entered the Mind World, leaving nothing but the sweet taste of her lips in her husband’s mouth.
The handsome young man paused for a moment, staring into space before sighing.
Well, if she didn’t want to talk about it, he wouldn’t force her.
Stretching slightly, he turned his face to Meilin, who had just left the flying ship’s control room.
"Husband... we’re about to dock, Father already knows of our arrival." She said, holding Qingyi’s hand and then snuggling into his embrace.
"I hope my third brother doesn’t try to get in your way. He was a close friend of that good-for-nothing you crippled in the Blue Sea Kingdom, and, well... he has more arrogance than power and brains." Meilin paused for a moment, her voice lowering to almost a whisper. "And his mother is a filthy slut too."
"Filthy slut? Hahaha." Qingyi laughed loudly.
"What? It’s true..." Meilin blushed, rolling her eyes.
"Nothing, it’s just rare to hear you use such language. She really mustn’t be worth the air she wastes."
"Hm... she’s not." Meilin shook her head, feeling the ground beneath her feet shake.
The ship’s autopilot had begun the docking process.
"Go to the Mind World, your husband wants to explore a little." The handsome young man grinned, giving Meilin one last kiss before sending her to the Mind World.
Soon after, he walked to the huge double doors that sealed the vessel.
Slowly, they opened, a wooden ramp descending to the ground, where some port officials were already waiting.
"Young Master, are you with the Five Colors Pavilion? Would you like us to take care of the docking and storage of your ship while you travel?" One of the officials stepped forward, bowing respectfully.
"It won’t be necessary," Qingyi replied, waving his hands.
The next moment, to the shock of everyone watching, the flying ship disappeared, swallowed up by a powerful space fold.
The employee stood still, his mouth open, saluting nothingness as Qingyi walked past him.
He raised his head, looking at his assistant.
That man was, without a doubt, an unparalleled expert!
Even though it wasn’t that rare to see them from afar, when they sprang into action, it was always breathtaking.
Qingyi didn’t think much about what those port officials thought, just walking peacefully through the wide streets of the capital’s main port.
"Uh... why is everything here so megalomaniacal?" He wondered, gritting his teeth.
Even the gates leading to the docks were over a hundred meters high, even though no one but a select few were allowed to fly in the capital.
The same was true for every building, every house.
They seemed to be made to shelter giants, not ordinary people.
Obviously, this changed in the poorer regions, but even so, it was hell to find.
Keeping a brisk pace, Qingyi walked through the crowds.
His long black horns and transcendental beauty naturally attracted the attention of the population, which consisted mainly of ordinary humans.
[Just keep heading towards the center, the founding branch and father’s residence is near the Imperial Palace.] Meilin’s voice echoed in Qingyi’s mind, who nodded silently, quickening his pace.
It wasn’t a difficult place to find. After all, the Enlightened Imperial Palace was the most megalomaniacal building in the city, towering above everything else.
A golden basin above the main building scattered the sun’s rays like a golden veil that swallowed everything.
Even Qingyi couldn’t help but be a little impressed by such beauty, despite, of course, how far away it was.
It took him almost two hours of walking to get there from the docks, passing by powerful experts and ordinary mortals, all walking side by side.
Fortunately, he was soon able to see the second largest building in the Enlightened Imperial Capital, only slightly smaller than the Imperial Palace.
It was surrounded by high walls, bearing repeated and perfectly engraved symbols of the Five-Colored Pavilion.
"Oh... Is there a line?" Qingyi whispered, approaching the founding branch of the Five-Colored Pavilion.
Without a hint of concern or embarrassment, he simply walked to the front of the line.
