The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 554 - Ten thousand deaths!

Chapter 554: 554 - Ten thousand deaths!

Before returning to the empire of the illuminated sky, Qingyi wanted to pass through the land of the cat people and the land of the dragon people, just to allow Qianyao and Linyue to visit their families.

Unfortunately, such a wish did not last long, and as soon as Qingyi arrived at the gates of the capital of the land of the dragon people, he froze.

His vision focused on a wall, and he took a step back.

It was as if everything around him had been split in two, the upper part of the world sliding over the lower part.

He had seen that phenomenon before, shortly after arriving in the immortal heavens.

A strike capable of cutting through reality itself.

At the time, he had no idea of its origin, but now he even knew the expert behind that strike.

"Jianming..." Qingyi shuddered.

What would force someone like that damned old man to use such a powerful strike?

The worst immediately came to Qingyi’s mind, and he went to the skies, his body swallowed by a spatial fold.

He located the enlightened imperial capital more quickly than ever, repeating in his mind again and again.

He wasn’t late, was he?

No... he couldn’t be!

The moment he appeared above the imperial capital, Qingyi’s heart sank.

The smell of blood invaded his nostrils, and the hellish heat of the flames hit his face.

For all he could see, he saw nothing but the deepest darkness and death, millions of souls screaming in agony.

The demonic seeds had truly hatched!

He just hoped he wasn’t too late.

Qingyi calmed his own chest, fighting against anxiety as his eyes focused on the only building still intact in the capital: the five-colored pavilion.

The demon in front of it had not noticed anyone’s arrival, one of his feet resting on the chest of Jianming’s decapitated body.

The demon flashed a broad smile, feeling the old man’s absorbed power coursing through his veins.

His master would be very pleased with this!

He raised his right hand, the blood around it moving and forming a spear in his grip.

His eyes focused on the white heron, who was crying in her husband’s arms, her gaze fixed on her father’s corpse.

The demon smiled and threw the spear.

But nothing hit the barrier.

A terrible cry of pain echoed and the spear of blood fell to the ground, next to the demon’s severed arm.

The creature retreated hastily, turning and grabbing the bloody stump.

His eyes focused on a handsome young man who barely paid attention to him.

How had that damn bastard gotten behind him so easily?

The demon shuddered, his hand healing quickly.

Qingyi, honestly, couldn’t care less about the demon. All his attention was focused solely on Jianming.

He looked at his mother-in-law and father-in-law, his face full of pain.

"I’m sorry... I didn’t make it in time." Qingyi gritted his teeth, more anger than sadness rising in his voice.

Anger at himself, not at the demon.

He had been complacent.

He knew full well that he should return to the capital immediately, but he didn’t.

It was all his fault. If it weren’t for the delay...

Qingyi knelt down, grabbing Jianming’s severed head and using Qi to reconnect it to the body.

It wouldn’t do much good.

The old man’s soul had already been consumed. Now, all that remained was an empty shell.

Qingyi stood up with Jianming in his arms, walking toward the barrier.

"Son-in-law, be careful!" Jin Hao shouted.

The demon behind Qingyi saw this as a perfect opportunity and lunged toward the handsome young man, his face lit up with a crazed light.

Qingyi didn’t even turn around.

He just moved the Qi on his back, pushing everything toward the demon.

That being was strong, but far inferior to Nianxue and obviously even more inferior to the current Qingyi.

The demon barely had time to react, the lightning Qi tearing his body into hundreds of pieces.

Qingyi noticed the creature regenerating, but didn’t care.

He crossed the barrier and finally arrived in front of Jin Hao and the White Heron.

With a sigh, he knelt down, placing the corpse on the ground.

"Y-you... damn you!" The white heron cursed, but her words were not meant for Qingyi, but for her father’s corpse.

She threw herself onto the cold body, crying uncontrollably.

"Why did you have to be so stubborn? Why couldn’t you just come back here and wait? Just a little longer... if you had waited just a little longer..." She punched her father’s chest, sobbing.

Qingyi raised his face, closing his eyes and trying to calm his burning heart.

He failed miserably and0 his mind was consumed by a single feeling: The deepest hatred, on a level he was sure he had never felt in his entire life.

’Heavenly demon...’ He looked up at the heavens. ’I will kill you a thousand—no, ten thousand times!’ Qingyi roared in his mind before focusing his vision once more.

"You can teleport your palace out of the capital, correct?" Qingyi asked.

"Uh... yes, but—"

"Do it, now." Qingyi said.

Feeling the coldness and anger in his son-in-law’s voice, Jin Hao did not hesitate any longer.

For now, he should no longer cling to his foolish pride, unlike Jianming.

It was time to flee.

With quick steps, he returned to the office, and a multitude of spatial formations activated around the palace.

Ensuring that all customers and guards were inside, he began the teleportation process.

The range wasn’t very far, only a thousand kilometers away, but it was more than enough to give them time to escape.

The price for a single use was absurd, of course, but who would care about money in the face of certain death?

Qingyi watched the huge palace disappear, his body floating as he sensed each of the demons.

There were just over nine hundred and fifty, still in fierce combat with the many experts from the imperial capital.

He grabbed the sky-defying thunder sword, activating its fourth form.

More than three thousand translucent swords surrounded his body, his draconic mind already calculating the trajectory of each one.

He was about to begin the slaughter when, once again, he had to stop himself.

His eyes focused on the horizon and he gritted his teeth.

He truly wouldn’t even have a single second of peace, would he?
