The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 574 - A god of what?

Chapter 574: 574 - A god of what?

"Brat... you dare to challenge me, a god?" The war god’s roar echoed through the air, laden with nothing but the purest hatred.

His red hair seemed to be on fire, floating with the pressure radiating from his body.

His muscles swelled, and his enormous axe returned to his hand with a bang.

"A god? A god of what?" Qingyi flashed a smile full of contempt. "Of sexually frustrated cuckolds? Hahaha."

The sight of the God of War expanding his power, his aura exploding around him, caused Qingyi no shock.

He had faced insanely powerful enemies so many times that there was little that could still surprise him.

"You..." The god of war choked on the insult, his eyes bloodshot.

In his entire long life, never, ever, had anyone dared to treat him that way.

"I am a god, boy! My name is destruction, my realm is war, and a thousand deaths will not make up for this disrespect!" The roar echoed like that of a bloodthirsty beast.

"Oh... don’t worry. I won’t need to kill you a thousand times, once or twice should suffice." Qingyi laughed, completely ignoring the threat.

His face was full of amusement, but it soon turned cold as the god of war opened his mouth again.

"I am-"

"This is the third time you’ve declared who you are." Qingyi interrupted him with an angry snort.

"Are you going to keep yapping, or are you going to try to kill me? You’re not going to tell me that you’re actually the god of yapping and not war, are you?"

With those words, the god of war finally fell silent.

His eyes became steady as he stared at what was left of his army.

He had invaded the divine realm of Auranys with two thousand soldiers, all at the peak of the astral body realm.

But now, only three hundred and fifty remained.

Each of those warriors was completely irreplaceable, experts who had once been at the top of what is now known as the celestial heavens, but who, after millions of years, had been reduced to nothing.

The god of war did not calm his burning heart, but he still hid his anger.

Pointing his axe at Qingyi, he declared, "You are not worthy to face my blade."

Then he turned to his soldiers. "Kill him."

Qingyi smiled as he felt the aura of three hundred and fifty experts, with power equivalent to the peak of the astral body realm, descending upon him.

In reality, each of them was probably stronger than most experts at the peak of the astral body realm, even if only by a small margin.

When they all advanced, he welcomed them with open arms, drawing the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword.

"I’m not worthy, huh?" Qingyi’s lips curled as he prepared his sword, assuming a defensive stance.

Suddenly, the world seemed silent.

The sun shone brightly in the sky, but there were no shadows, neither under the buildings nor under the god of war himself.

They had all flowed toward Qingyi, swirling like a whirlwind around his sword, electric rays tearing through them.

"Ten Thousand Shadows Devouring Art." Qingyi whispered, and in the next moment, swung his sword.

The soldiers froze. Their eyes widened, and then, death.

Their swords were cut. Their armor too. With the same ease that their flesh, bones, and entrails were scattered across the ground.

The god of war turned his face slightly, just in time to avoid being decapitated.

Behind him, a thunderous explosion engulfed everything. A black orb formed before collapsing into a powerful shockwave.

The god of war raised his hand, touching his own neck.

Looking at his fingers, he saw red.

Blood.

Had that bastard drawn blood from him?

The wound burned before disappearing in a cloud of vapor.

"Are you coming to your granddaddy? Or are you waiting for permission?" Qingyi smiled, stepping over the corpses of the soldiers.

The fallen deity closed his eyes, calmed his breathing, and then advanced.

Neither of them held back, their bodies disappearing with speed.

When they reappeared, they were face to face, sword and axe meeting.

The shockwave from their bursts of speed came shortly after their blades met.

On one side, a sea of thunder. On the other, a sea of crimson flames, dividing the world in two.

For miles, all that remained was destruction, flames and lightning engulfing everything around them.

The golden palace, not far from them, only remained standing because the golden barrier recovered just in time.

It wasn’t enough to withstand a direct hit, but at least it could resist the residual energies of their clashes.

Which was good, since both of them were interested in keeping the one inside safe, albeit for completely different reasons.

"Damn bastard... What courage made you meddle in my affairs? No... how the hell did you even get here?" The god of war growled, his blade crossing with Qingyi’s.

He was angry, especially when he realized he was unable to push his opponent back.

Was he losing in a contest of strength?

No... he couldn’t believe it.

Among his peers, he had always been the strongest physically, perhaps even stronger than Heavenly Father himself, the creator of all the gods who once ruled the celestial heavens but were now fallen.

He refused to believe that he would lose in a contest of strength to anyone.

The god of war roared, putting all his strength into it and then pushing Qingyi back.

An explosion erupted between the two. The god of war was forced to take three steps back, but Qingyi, on the other hand, only needed to take one.

"I am here at the request of one of my wives." Qingyi spoke casually, swinging the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword.

"I promised her that I would take Auranys as my wife and that they could be together for all eternity."

After a moment of silence, he concluded. "You’re just an annoying ant that I have to kill along the way."
