Chapter 597 - Astral Blood Realm
Chapter 597: 597 - Astral Blood Realm
The journey for the newly recruited disciples of the Cosmic Dawn Sect was a quick one.
They were in the eastern sector of the Aurora star system, one of the regions best connected to the central sector, where the planet of the Rising Aurora, the main base of the Cosmic Dawn Sect, was located.
In the end, the journey lasted only about five days, and soon, Qingyi had to leave his room.
The excuse of being in cultivation would no longer work, since, obviously, they had to leave the transport ship and be taken to the main sect.
’Before that...’ Long Qingyi’s lips curved, and he sat cross-legged on his bed.

His fingers moved, and then he clicked to improve his cultivation and mana manipulation at the same time.
The Astral Blood Realm, as the name made clear, was similar to the Astral Body Realm. The only major difference was that, instead of the body, it was the blood that was remade and strengthened.
With this, changes also occurred in the Dantian, which would grow larger and gain the ability to absorb Qi even in the vacuum of space.
[Initiating cultivation advancement. . .]
[Initiating mana manipulation level advancement. . .]
Two system notifications reached Qingyi at the same time.
Immediately, he clenched his teeth, his blood boiling and his body levitating a few meters off the ground, nearly touching the ceiling of the room.
’Ah...’ He exhaled, controlling the expansion of his Dantian and the wild flow of Qi, preventing his body from exploding.
His mana heart wasn’t in much better shape, also bursting with power.
In the past, all these minor adjustments were handled directly by the system.
But Qingyi had realized that, as he grew stronger, the extent to which the system aided him in his progress diminished.
Now, if he simply handed control over to the system as before, he was certain he would die, or at least suffer severe internal damage.
’Hm... I’d better pay closer attention...’ Qingyi smiled bitterly.
He didn’t see that as a bad thing. Quite the opposite.
The less control the system had over him, the better, right?
[Congratulations, your cultivation has been upgraded! Third stage of the Astral Body Realm -> First stage of the Astral Blood Realm]
[Congratulations, your mana manipulation has been upgraded! Twelfth ring -> Thirteenth ring.]
When the two notifications arrived, Qingyi opened his eyes, hearing knocks from outside.
"Brother Qingyi, we’re approaching the sect’s main base! Hurry up, we can’t be late for the disciples’ meeting!" Chen Wei shouted, pounding hard on the door.
After a few agonizing seconds of waiting, the door finally opened, drawing a sigh of relief from Chen Wei.
"Wait a minute..." Chen Wei took a step back, his eyes widening as he sensed Qingyi’s Qi.
It was stronger, to a level that was suffocating just to be beside him.
"Have you already reached the Astral Blood Realm?"
"Yes." Qingyi nodded nonchalantly, stretching and walking past the young Master Chen, who remained in shock. "What are you waiting for? Master Shen won’t be happy if we’re late."
Chen Wei stood frozen for another moment before sighing, running after Qingyi.
As the two crossed the ship, they could see, through the large windows, the planet they were approaching.
It was slightly larger than Earth, surrounded by spiritual matrices that covered the entire planet.
At the heart of its supercontinent, in a region of endless greenery, lay the main base of the Cosmic Dawn Sect, with over a million disciples and endless pavilions and walls dotting the dense forest.
At the center of all these pavilions stood the pavilion of the sect leader, a Stellar Sovereign and the most powerful expert in the entire Aurora star system.
Qingyi and Chen Wei took in that sight for just a moment before quickening their pace.
This would be their new home for quite some time, and it would be wrong to say they weren’t excited.
It didn’t take long before they reached a spacious hall, the same one where they had been gathered as soon as they entered the teleportation ship.
There, nearly a thousand newly recruited outer disciples and all the elders were already waiting for the ship to dock, their feet firmly planted on the ground.
Soon, a tremor spread across the steel floor as the ship entered the atmosphere of the planet of the Rising Aurora.
A second tremor came a few minutes later, accompanied by a loud siren announcing the start of the landing process.
After another five minutes, the elders finally moved, taking the lead and guiding the disciples out.
The moment the transport ship’s main hatches opened, Qingyi felt a cool, sweet breeze hit his face, his long black hair fluttering in the wind.
In an orderly fashion, everyone left the interior of the ship, arriving at a vast courtyard surrounded by statues of fallen heroes. Each statue was the size of a building, with an outstretched hand.
Beneath those hands stood the disciples recruited alongside Qingyi, as well as several others from other worlds.
In total, there were one hundred elders guiding ten thousand disciples.
Everyone’s eyes were raised, staring at the hands above them.
Among them, a small orb of light appeared, splitting into nine. The nine quickly split once more, one for each disciple.
Qingyi looked at it strangely at first, but soon raised his hand, taking one of the orbs of light into his palm.
