Chapter 808 - Greatest sorrow
Chapter 808: 808 - Greatest sorrow
[NT: Sorry for the delay—my landlady just showed up out of the blue with a technician, saying she needed to do some electrical work here and telling me to cut the power to the house.
We’re moving out in two or three months, so she wants to start renovating to sell it as quickly as possible.
It was a pain in the ass and really messed up my already difficult work, since I’m in a really tough part to write in both novels.
(Yes, I regret promising extra Chapters, but I didn’t expect it would be this hard to write these parts. I’m spending two to three hours per Chapter.)
But anyway, everything’s back to normal now.]

It didn’t take long for Qingyi to finally find himself relaxing, sunk into a soft sofa aboard a spaceship tearing through the void toward the Cosmic Void Sect.
This ship, unlike the previous one, was much faster—and also much more compact.
With Rouxi accompanying the group, there was no need to send a heavy transport ship, or even a battleship, to escort them.
Especially since the sect’s six battleships—each wielding the power of a stellar sovereign—were all occupied: three were patrolling distant regions, while the other three were undergoing maintenance to replace their spirit crystal-based fuel cells.
At that very moment, they were already nearing the end of their journey—a trip that had lasted only a month, much shorter than the previous one.
Rouxi, along with Rou’er, Xue Hua, and Yunxi, was in the mind world, chatting animatedly with the other girls.
And at that very moment, nestled in his arms, was the owner of the plumpest, juiciest, and most perfect ass in his entire harem: Jin Meilin.
She sat on his lap, those soft, heavy buttocks molding themselves against his firm thighs, the plush flesh pillowing beneath her weight.
Her head leaned back, resting against her husband’s broad chest.
Her eyes were closed, and Qingyi’s hands had slipped beneath her delicate armpits, reaching from behind to cup her small yet full and firm breasts—too small to fill his large palms completely, but absolutely perfect in their pert, silky modesty.
He didn’t squeeze hard.
He simply massaged those soft mounds with patience. Her firm nipples, stiffening beneath his touch, dragged against the center of his palms through the thin fabric of her dress,.
"Ah..." A soft sigh slipped past Meilin’s pink lips, and her dark eyes fluttered halfway open, still hazy with warmth.
Her face, as delicate as that of a porcelain doll, took on a rosier hue than usual, and her small hands reached up to settle lightly over his.
Truth be told, ever since she had arrived in the Celestial Heavens, a tinge of disappointment had lodged in her heart.
At first, her plan had been to establish her own chamber of commerce and secure Qingyi’s wealth as quickly as possible.
However, before she’d even had a chance to try, he had already gained access to the wealth of the Cosmic Dawn Sect, moving too fast for her to keep up.
Not that she blamed him for advancing too fast.
She would never put her own life at risk, much less slow down Qingyi’s progress, just to satisfy her own desire to be helpful.
After all, even with the best bloodlines he could buy for them, practically the only wives capable of keeping up with his pace were the Auranys and Rou’er herself.
In fact, she would be putting Qingyi’s own life at risk if she asked him to help her set up a chamber of commerce rather than simply continuing to cultivate as quickly as possible.
After all, they were back at the bottom of the food chain.
Even though, within that specific region, Qingyi was already capable of facing weaker stellar sovereigns and could easily escape from the stronger ones, the Heavenly Demon was still actively hunting him.
She knew that. All of Qingyi’s wives knew that.
He needed to fight to grow as quickly as possible, with the utmost urgency.
Because if the Heavenly Demon found him at his current level, even if he managed to escape, he wouldn’t be able to do so for long.
With every second he spent weak, Qingyi took one more step toward death.
For this reason, Meilin chose not to dwell on the matter and turned her mind to another of her passions besides business: the art of weaving!
She was the one who had made Qingyi’s wedding attire. She was the one who wove his battle garb. And even every piece of undergarment he wore had passed through her skilled hands.
With that thought in mind, she stopped worrying so much.
She was still by her husband’s side. She was still helping him, in her own way.
And that was what made her happiest.
"Qingyi..." she called softly, lifting herself slightly from his lap to turn and face him.
Delicate fingers traced up to his broad shoulders as she raised herself, her supple legs parting to slip to either side of him, mounting him in one fluid, graceful motion.
Now she was perched atop him, her small, firm breasts pressing against his broad chest.
The cheeks of her ass, two plump, perfect spheres with skin as smooth as porcelain, settled their full weight over his groin, the pliant flesh spreading and molding itself around him.
His lips curved into a smile, and his hand reached down to deliver a firm slap to her right buttock.
His palm sank deep into the plump, cushiony flesh, flattening it beneath the impact before it rebounded with a heavy jiggle, alazy shockwave of motion rippling across to the neighboring cheek.
"What’s the matter, love?" he asked tenderly, his hands rising to wrap around her waist—so slender and delicate that his fingertips almost met on the other side.
"There’s something that’s been on my mind for a few weeks..." she said, her voice heavier than usual.
"Auranys was telling me about your cultivation technique... that if your cultivation level were high enough compared to the target, you could even bring the dead back to life... is that true?" Meilin asked hesitantly, her dark eyes seeking his with timid hope.
"Will you be able to..."
"Yes." Qingyi didn’t even let her finish the question.
He knew that losing her grandfather had been one of the greatest sorrows of Meilin’s life.
"When we return to the Immortal Heavens, bringing that damn old man back from hell will be the first thing I do," he replied, his tone mingling jest with genuine pain.
Losing the old man had hurt Qingyi, too. That failure had been the greatest of his life, and he still often blamed himself for not being able to save him in time.
