Chapter 534: A True Monster Who Fears No Death
Chapter 534: A True Monster Who Fears No Death
Zhian’Thar charges at me at the speed of light, and I charge into her with a punch, our fists collide, and my arm shatters with the impact, the arm splitting in two while the hand down to the bones fragments like glass.
"Ghmmm," Zhian’Thar groans in pain, her arm breaking and her bone jutting backward at the elbow, the impact reverberating through both our bodies, but I with my greater regeneration recover quickly.
"Is this what you see? A beautiful world," I say mockingly. Every time I enter this "Zero Time Zone," I can momentarily see the world where light becomes infinitely slow.
"You’re a damn bitch, but if you’re going to destroy your own body with every attack, do you really think you’ll beat me? I admit you’re fast, but your punches still have the same strength," she says, spitting blood on the ground.
’She’s right... my strength isn’t amplified by the impact because the speed has zero acceleration...’ I smile, enjoying a good challenge. She moves again and I do too, crashing into her.
She lands dozens of punches on my body and I do the same to her. I grab her arm and twist, tearing it off using her own speed as leverage. She retaliates with a punch to my chest; since I have no head, she loses one of the main vulnerable points she could attack.
"You look tired," I trip her and dodge a blow, setting another point B at a distance, but the pressure on my body is nauseating.
’If I hadn’t developed resistance to time’s influence, I’d already be dead from moving like this...’
"I’m great..." she lies, but for both of us, this pushes us to the limit.
"Pandora, you must be feeling pretty amazing now, huh? But know this—I’m one of the weakest servants of the Abyss Goddess! Even if by some chance you defeat me, if you fight others, you could be killed instantly before you even realize it," she says something that makes me laugh out loud.
"Are you admitting you’re going to lose so soon? Don’t ruin the fun, you bitch," I appear in front of her, and she barely dodges a punch to the gut, but I grab her leg and pull, followed by kicking her in the face.
She spins at the speed of light with a kick, but her kick misses, barely passing through the inside of the black spiral in my head—not having a head is convenient.
"Gaahh!" She kicks my stomach, and the powerful impact blows out the front and back, opening a hole, while her spin tears my hand off and she escapes.
’My regeneration is declining...’ I took too much damage during those 23 seconds, just taking nonstop blows.
But Zhian’Thar is panting. Even with Mana being used, physical combat is exhausting when you don’t stop taking damage. I "breathe" deeply as the wound closes.
"Hey!!! Zhian’Thar!!!!!" I hear a shout that makes me "look" back, and I see Tsukiyo with her arms and legs regenerated. Zhian’Thar also looks at her, confused.
’Did she break my barrier? Or did I get so weakened that I dispelled the barrier without noticing?’ I don’t know; I hadn’t even noticed.
"Tsukiyo, what do you think you’re doing?" I curse this stupid slave.
"...!!!" Tsukiyo points at her own head.
"Zhian’Thar... KILL THIS WRETCHED BITCH!" Tsukiyo screams loudly and then fires a beam of magic at her own head. Her body collapses to the ground while Zhian’Thar and I feel the same thing—her magic dispersing "naturally" into the environment, the same thing that happens when something dies.
’Th-That miserable bitch!!! Did she really kill herself!?’ I truly didn’t expect that, to the point where I hadn’t even given preventive anti-suicide orders, because monsters in the abyss are very attached to their lives and normally do everything to survive—so much so that Tsukiyo had even begged not to die before.
’Why did she kill herself? Was it for Zhian’Thar? Did she kill herself because she was a burden? Friendship? IS THIS JUST FRIENDSHIP?’ I look at Zhian’Thar, who has her head lowered, a violent wave of mana escaping from her body.
’THAT BITCH RUINED EVERYTHING’ I leap back, putting distance between us. Now our agreement is over, because the stupid bargaining chip I had self-destructed.
"Pandora..." Zhian’Thar looks at me, her gaze becoming dangerous.
"Our agreement is over... Hehehe... You know this is your fault, right? If it weren’t for you, this wouldn’t be happening..." She smiles sarcastically with hatred, a demonically wide grin, and then she leaps up.
"It was an... interesting fight. It was really interesting to see someone competing with physical strength and speed against me, but enough of this clown show, huh? I’m going to kill you," I hear her voice as she begins to form some kind of magic.
(In the midst of the first centennial environment, where death forgot those who are no longer alive, and their wandering souls in rotten bodies...) Zhian’Thar begins to use an Incantation.
’This damn bitch plans to kill me with a last-ditch attack?!... What an unpredictable turn... this is why I love the abyss.’ I could run away—yes, I could easily escape this attack. With my new speed, getting out of here is ridiculously easy.
However... this is the first time someone is using their "final attack" on me and I can choose to flee. Other times, I had no escape; I always had to stay and overcome the attack with a stronger one.
But... do I want to run? Do I really want to run? Why would I run from this? I’m not a pathetic coward, that’s for sure. I am Pandora, and I’m finally reaching the peak I desire. If I run from a mere weak servant of my mother, how could I be proud of myself?
"Fine... it’s not the outcome I expected. I really wanted to kill you with my fists, but if that’s how you want it, Zhian’Thar, I’ll show you how terrifying I can be..." I point my hand at her. I’ll use a devastating attack with an incantation that will surpass her strength.
’If I’m weaker in this attack, this will be my end... but it doesn’t matter, it’ll be fun to try...’
[Doom: Incantation. Before an inevitable end, a living offering delivered to the goddess of the apocalypse for the damnation of all that ever existed, representing the end and the beginning of something]
[In an environment that will return to nothingness, the approaching end praises a new existence that will perpetuate the divine balance that must always exist]
(In the existence of death, a sea bound to the void overrides the choices of that which is no longer alive) Her incantation and mine, spoken simultaneously, begin to emit so much magic that the environment begins to "die," with everything starting to dissolve into microscopic particles.
[Before a new choice, the divine that does not retreat chooses before death its own sacrifice of flesh and blood, using its own entrails to demonstrate the magnitude of its own existence] Using an incantation in the Doom element, I begin to amplify it to the maximum I can, sacrificing my internal organs, blood, and flesh.
[Between blood and death, an equal and divine sacrifice of the divinity that will one day bring the end of all things] After using this magic, my body will literally be hollow inside.
With 80% of my flesh being offered to the Doom element for 2 seconds, normally this would kill me, but since I’m in my true form, I can survive with even less than 20% of my body remaining, as long as it’s not overloaded.
(During its relentlessness, the choices of the dead that define a lived and morbid path, everything comes to an end: El MÓRBIDOS) She launches her attack from the sky as I finish my incantation.
[In the end, the end chosen by the goddess is the annihilation of all that exists, for the body is the raw material, which such divinity can use its will to fulfill its sacred mission of bringing the end of everything: [Repugnant Moon Doom]] I use the Repugnant Moon modified by the Doom element.
Immediately, I launch the magic, which goes straight against hers. My magic takes the form of an immense black crescent moon, emanating a sickly and bizarre aura. Everything in front of the Moon is erased, as if dying instantly.
The Doom element annihilating everything in its path, while her attack is an immense beam of red energy, with black and yellow edges. Our attacks surge forward and collide, stopping at a point as if competing for space.
The aura of both attacks is so destructive that both she and I take damage just from the Mana release. We both hear a sound like cracking glass—reality broke at the point of contact, generating a fissure that allows a view of the universe outside the abyss.
Until both attacks simply move forward. The Moon continues, splitting the beam in two, while the beam’s energy separates and the beam continues forward, with both of us being hit by weaker versions of our own power.
With an immense explosion covering the entire area, everything darkens from the wave of dark magic destroying visibility.

...
...
"GAAHHHH!" I fall to the ground, spitting blood, but I have a huge smile on my face. I won. I avenged Tsukiyo. Even as I smile, I have tears—my friend is dead.
"Fgghmmm," I let out a pained sound. My body was nearly split in two by that attack from Pandora. I almost died; I had to use 100% of my magic to survive, and even then I lost the right half of my torso.
"H-Hahaha, was that really the strength of someone I judged as weak?" I say in disbelief as I lean against a tree. I can’t move anymore; I took too much damage and used too much magic with [El Mórbidos].
"[...Hihihihi]" I hear a sound, like a strange laugh that seems to come from all directions. It makes me look in the direction I think is right, and I see something that fills me with dread—Pandora’s body, almost completely destroyed. Literally, only a piece of her torso with one arm and the black spiral on her head remains, yet this piece is dragging itself along.
"[Hihihihahaha, you survived? Impressive, Zhian’Thar...]" she speaks, and with that, I know Pandora is alive.
"H-How...!!!" I look at this aberration with pure terror. How can something like this be alive? Over 90% of her body is gone; only three parts remain that serve no vital function.
"[I’m hungry... I’m so hungry...]" She begins dragging herself even more frantically toward me, and I see the tongue from the mouth on her stomach—half of that mouth still exists.
"S-Stay away!!" I fall to the ground, trying to crawl backward, but I’m too weak, and her attack was so destructive that I can’t regenerate any of the damage at all.
"[Don’t run, Zhian’Thar. You lost~... now you’re my dinner...]" She gets closer and closer as I cry in fear. I still don’t want to die; I couldn’t even avenge Tsukiyo.
"G-Get out!! Y-You monster!" With my only remaining arm, I throw a clump of dirt at her, but she keeps crawling toward me, leaving a trail of black blood on the ground.
"[Your despair is so sweet, it makes me hungrier...]" Her hand grabs my only remaining leg as I try to struggle. She pulls herself closer.
"GET OUT!! GET OUT! YOU ABERRATION!! WHY DID YOU SURVIVE!!?" I try to hit her, but I’m too weak. I used 100% to survive, so now I can’t even escape.
"GYAAAAA!" I scream in pain when I feel a bite. The mouth on her belly begins to devour my leg.
"[The strong take everything from the weak. If you can no longer defend yourself, then you are my dinner now. Why did I survive? Obviously, because I won...]" I groan in pain, feeling her devouring me while I’m still alive.
The eye floating behind her "head" begins to regenerate as she slowly recovers her vision. She’s using my body to regenerate.
I try to hit her with my remaining hand, but my blows are weak and pathetic.
"[If you had continued with physical combat, you could have stayed alive. How pathetic... but don’t worry, you’re not useless... You served as one more step, a step for the Goddess of the Apocalypse who will one day be responsible for the end of all things and the beginning of something new. After devouring you, I’ll devour Tsukiyo’s corpse.]"
"GYYYAAAAHHHH!" I let out a horrible scream of pain and despair as her mouth begins to devour my lower parts, having completely devoured my leg and thigh and now moving upward.
"P-Please! I-I’ll be your slave!! I-I still want to live!!" I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m so scared of dying.
"Ghnmmm," I bite my lips from the sheer pain as she ignores me, continuing to climb, slowly devouring my body while I’m still alive, and she seems to be doing it slowly on purpose, chewing slowly to cause me pain. I begin to feel everything fading; I’m dying, slowly dying.
