The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1791: Head for the stars

Chapter 1791: Head for the stars

Although Cain could have directly infused the Origin Power into the Black Hole within his Soul Dimension or used it to decipher Oniric Truths, that was not the wisest course of action.

A Divine Kingdom was an extension of the cultivator’s very being, and by channeling Origin Power into it, one would not only nurture their internal energy reserves but also accelerate their comprehension speed and deepen the feedback received from the cultivators within their domain.

It was slightly slower than using the Origin Power directly, but the holistic benefits far outweighed the drawbacks. It fostered growth across all dimensions—spiritual, mental, and physical. In other words, it was far more efficient in the long run.

As the Origin Power surged from Cain’s mouth and descended into his Divine Kingdom, it didn’t remain strictly confined to his territory. Roughly half of the power overflowed into Meylin’s Divine Kingdom.

While Cain deeply loved Meylin, this gesture wasn’t merely sentimental. He understood that it was only through the Depravita of Pride’s exceptional efficiency that he had been able to fight with such freedom and obtain such an abundance of Origin Power. Splitting the rewards with her was only fair. It was a recognition of her contributions and a reinforcement of their shared destiny.

A contented and peaceful expression emerged on Meylin’s face as she sensed her Divine Kingdom rapidly strengthening. Over the course of just a few hours, both Cain and Meylin’s Divine Kingdoms expanded by tens of thousands of kilometers.

This growth pushed Meylin’s kingdom to the upper threshold of the Early Prima Deity rank, while Cain’s power advanced by at least one full level. A wide smile stretched across both of their faces—a moment of quiet satisfaction after the storm.

Yet, despite the joy, Cain’s expression soon hardened, his eyes sharpening with renewed focus.

"I’m using one of my Innate Abilities to devise a Dream that will align with your nature and abilities," he said with certainty. "Soon, I’ll have it ready."

Meylin’s gaze locked onto his, focused and calm. Crafting a Dream was a deeply personal and transformative endeavor. It shaped one’s path through the realms and beyond.

Ordinarily, no one would entrust such a task to another. But Meylin trusted Cain with a depth that transcended the conventional. She knew that Cain always acted with her best interest at heart—and more importantly, that his vision often spanned several steps beyond her own comprehension. What he created was always calculated, intentional, and powerful.

Meylin nodded thoughtfully. She would trust—but verify. She would revise the Dream before fully embracing it.

"Our next target will be the Beast God," Cain continued, his tone calm yet resolute. "The wounds I inflicted on him are laced with destruction. His soul and body are already unraveling. When we strike, he’ll shatter beneath my sword—and be swallowed by the Throne."

A solemn expression passed across Meylin’s face. The Beast God was no longer a true threat; she could defeat him alone if necessary. But that wasn’t what concerned her.

Cain noticed her hesitation and offered a small, knowing smile before nodding in understanding.

"The Ancestor of Heaven and Earth won’t sit still this time," he said. "I used my powers to peer into the heart of the Lord of the Void, and I believe he will uphold his end of the pact and keep the Ancestor at bay. But one can never truly predict the hidden cards of a being who has lived for tens of millions of years."

Someone like the Ancestor of Heaven and Earth didn’t need a drawn-out battle. One full-power blow from him could obliterate Cain. Meylin, thanks to her Depravita Constitution, might barely survive such a strike—but even then, she would be standing at the gates of the underworld.

"We must become stronger," Cain declared, his voice unwavering. "A few years is nothing to someone like the Lord of the Void—especially after a victory. We will elevate our cultivation until our souls and Divine Kingdoms are in harmony."

He then turned his attention fully to Meylin. With a soft motion, Cain placed his finger gently on her forehead, leaving behind a small drop of crimson blood that glowed with burning intensity.

"This will grant you access to my soul force and aura," he explained. "You’ve already begun to develop a basic understanding of the Oniric Truth of Gluttony. Use my soul essence to advance it."

A gentle smile bloomed on Meylin’s lips. She could feel the immense trust Cain placed in her through that single drop of blood. Given her Depravita abilities, she could have easily used that essence as a gateway to harm him if she ever chose to betray him. Yet Cain didn’t hesitate—his confidence in her loyalty was absolute.

Meylin had earned that trust time and again, and Cain didn’t dwell on the risk. He simply moved forward, eyes already fixed on the horizon of power.

"By the time we’re finished with the Beast God," he continued, "I will have reached the battle power of a Half-Step ArchDeity. And that will mark the beginning of the Eternal War."

Meylin looked at him pensively and asked, "Do you think Tiamat will summon us immediately?"

"I know she will," Cain replied, his voice confident. "Time is critical to her plans. The havoc and instability left behind by the destruction of an Eternal Kingdom won’t last long. She must act before the balance settles again."

"I see. So, will we answer her call?" Meylin inquired, already sensing Cain’s mind racing ahead.

"We will keep our word," Cain said, a gleam in his eye. "We will become her paragons—leaders of her army."

He paused, his gaze drifting upward toward the stars, a small smile forming on his lips.

"But whether she wins or not... that doesn’t concern me. We will use the war as a forge to temper our Dreams. And after that—"

Cain raised his hand slowly, fingers splayed toward the heavens.

"—we will head for the stars. The Second Realm is too small for us."
