Chapter 1811: Consuming the Star Man
Chapter 1811: Consuming the Star Man
Cain showed no mercy as he grasped the Star Man firmly and threw him decisively into the Scarlet Throne. The instant the Star Man crossed its threshold, his connection to the rest of the universe was violently severed. His entire being began to unravel, swiftly dismantled and assimilated by the throne’s insatiable hunger.
Though Cain desired to absorb all those he had slain during this rampage, he couldn’t afford to pause even for a second; a single moment of distraction would have been enough for him to be overwhelmed by the legion of Prima Deities.
Nonetheless, the Star Man was different. He was a key figure whose power and hidden background made it essential for Cain to integrate him completely into the Scarlet Throne. The Star Man’s mysterious origin and goals meant that Cain needed answers quickly, and the throne would provide them.
Of course, Cain was not about to remain idle while the assimilation proceeded. The gates of the Scarlet Throne closed, vanishing as the Neo-Demon raised his eyes toward the battlefield once again. He took a deep breath, channeling his immense vitality, and whispered two words with absolute confidence.
"Fifth Gear!"
"THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!"
His heart beat thunderously, reverberating like war drums across the skies. Although Sixth Gear granted him more raw power, Fifth Gear was far more manageable, especially with the vitality constantly replenished by the Scarlet Throne. The balance between power and control allowed Cain to exert his peak battle prowess without causing excessive harm to his own body.
"ZNNNNNN!"
The sound of space shattering echoed as Cain’s lightning wings unfurled and propelled him upward into the heart of the battle. Appearing like a dark meteor amidst the chaos, Sky Devourer in his grasp overflowed with devastating energy.
Cain’s eyes flared with an intimidating brilliance as gravitational force exploded outward from him, blanketing the entire battlefield. This oppressive field specifically targeted the Prima Deities serving under the Lord of Ages, significantly reducing their mobility and making escape much harder.
Horror seized the Prima Deities, who were already struggling desperately against Tiamat’s legion. They felt panic rise as Cain’s overwhelming gravitational shackles tightened around them, realizing their desperate situation had just worsened.
Cain did not waste time. He surged forward with ruthless speed, instantly closing the distance toward a Prima Deity who had assumed the form of a powerful lightning amalgamation. His fist crashed in, but rather than obliterating the Deity instantly, the attack’s unique power forcibly reverted the enemy to his true form—a bizarre insectoid creature with seven crystalline wings.
Without hesitation, Cain summoned the Scarlet Throne again and tossed the insect-like Prima Deity into it. Within seconds, a tremendous explosion echoed across the sky, signaling the destruction of another Divine Kingdom. The insect’s True Name had been utterly annihilated, consumed by the throne’s merciless power.
The remaining Prima Deities witnessed this event, their morale crumbling completely as they understood that not even their True Names were safe from Cain’s might. Panicked and terrified, they abandoned their pride, desperately pushing their energies to escape Cain’s gravitational field.
But Cain was not the only threat on the battlefield.
"AAHHHHHHH!"
A blood-curdling scream pierced the chaos as the Depravita of Pride impaled another Late Prima Deity with her twin swords, Hell and Abyss. Her golden eyes glowed mercilessly as she absorbed the Deity’s soul and life force, fueling her already monstrous strength. In mere moments, she devoured his vitality, leaving behind only a dried husk, before vanishing and reappearing amidst another group of enemies.
Meylin lacked the power to destroy True Names directly, yet her devastation was no less impactful. Each Prima Deity wounded by her attacks would require centuries to achieve rebirth, removing them from the battle entirely.
With Cain and Meylin as the spearhead, Tiamat’s legion of Prima Deities quickly pressed their advantage, following their lead with relentless fury. What followed was nothing short of a massacre—screams echoed, explosions erupted, and more and more Prima Deities fell, either drained by Meylin or swallowed by Cain’s Scarlet Throne.
Just as the forces of the Lord of Ages had been cut down to less than half of their original numbers, a cataclysmic boom thundered from the highest reaches of the sky. All combatants turned their gazes upward as two powerful figures rapidly descended toward the battlefield—the Lord of Ages and Tiamat, the Dragon Empress.
Both ArchDeities bore severe injuries from their titanic clash in the upper atmosphere. The Lord of Ages appeared especially battered; he was missing his right arm, and his life force fluctuated erratically, confirming that he had clearly suffered greater damage in their confrontation.
The Lord of Ages’ fury was beyond description when he saw how severely his forces had been decimated. His eyes blazed with unparalleled hatred, and his killing intent locked onto Cain, whom he identified as the root cause of his catastrophic losses.
Yet, despite his rage and the overwhelming desire to shred Cain to pieces, the Lord of Ages could not afford to face him now—not with the relentless Dragon Empress hot on his trail. Gathering what little remained of his energy, he released a mighty wave, summoning towering walls of mystical chains from the earth. These chains temporarily held back Cain, Meylin, and Tiamat’s forces, creating a brief opportunity for his surviving Prima Deities to retreat hastily toward the safety of his Eternal Kingdom.
With one last furious glare at Tiamat and Cain, the Lord of Ages retreated into his Eternal Kingdom, swiftly invoking its divine power to heal his grievous injuries and replenish his weakened vitality.
Tiamat halted her advance at the perimeter of the Eternal Kingdom, her cold, calculating eyes radiating murderous intent. Though immensely powerful, she recognized that attacking an ArchDeity within the heart of their Eternal Kingdom was incredibly dangerous, even potentially fatal. Without the element of surprise, continuing the assault would likely result in defeat.
Cain and Meylin also stopped their advance, standing vigilantly beyond the kingdom’s boundary. They knew better than to recklessly confront an ArchDeity within his fortified domain.
However, neither lowered their guard nor dissipated their battle-ready energies. Cain and Meylin exchanged a meaningful glance before attacking once more.
