Chapter 1865: Dark Heart
Chapter 1865: Dark Heart
Cain grinned, a wide, savage smile full of unrelenting thrill, as he felt his fist crack the bones in the ArchDeity’s chest and sent him flying across the sky while puking a mouthful of blood. Without giving even a second of respite, Cain surged forward in pursuit, the powers of his Primordial Path, Inner Universe, and the Path of Conquest coursing through his veins.
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
An ocean of strength trailed behind Cain, every punch he fired growing faster, heavier, deadlier; the sound of bones cracking echoed louder and louder.
"Damn it!" Divine Calamity roared in fury. His defenses were failing. No matter what barrier he conjured, Cain always found the weakest point and struck with the might to sunder reality itself, before connecting a blow that made his internal organs tremble.
"BOOOOOOOOM!"
Another fist connected, this time with the ArchDeity’s face. The impact split the air, leaving fractures across his skull and sending Divine Calamity spinning through the sky like a broken doll. His consciousness flickered under the force, and it seemed there was nothing he could do to stop him.
Cain, empowered by the full might of Seventh Gear, moved with exponential speed. World Strength poured into his body, amplifying his power far beyond his natural limits, so it was no wonder he could overpower the ArchDeity.
Of course, this came at a cost. The pressure on his body was overwhelming. Unlike the Crimson World’s Scarlet Throne, the throne within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe didn’t channel oceans of vitality into him. But Cain’s Rakshasa Immortal Body provided the endurance he needed, keeping his blood vessels from bursting and allowing him to continue unleashing his relentless assault.
In the distance, the assembled Prima Deities could only watch in stunned awe.
Andrew and the others—those bound by Cain’s sealing technique—could barely believe what they were seeing. Cian was manhandling Divine Calamity, forcing the ArchDeity into a retreat, dominating him blow for blow.
Many of them clenched their teeth in frustration, silently cursing their own cowardice. They had rejected Cain’s offer to stand beside him, and now regret clawed at their hearts.
As for Alucard, Pation, Karter, and Lancer—the four who had pledged loyalty—they stood with wide, satisfied grins on their faces. Every second of the battle confirmed that they had made the right decision, that they had placed their faith in a man truly worthy of being followed.
The Sky Sovereign, however, showed no surprise—only a calm smile.
He had known Cain for a long time. They had even shared a Soul Dimension. So when Cain had said he would face Divine Calamity, the Sky Sovereign understood: it meant he was ready to crush the ArchDeity.
Cain’s heartbeat thundered like a cosmic storm. He soared into the highest skies, almost breaching the void, then suddenly dove down with cataclysmic momentum. His body became a comet of annihilation, gaining weight and force with each meter. Space-time bent and warped around him as he descended, ready to crash with a strength that could sunder a continent.
Divine Calamity’s eyes widened in horror.
His body was already covered in wounds. Bones were broken, internal energy disrupted. If he didn’t act now, he would die.
"DAMN IT!"
With a furious roar of frustration, a dark ring on his finger shattered.
Time seemed to freeze for a heartbeat.
From the fragments of the ring, an ocean of dark matter erupted and formed the silhouette of a heart—massive, pulsing, black as the abyss. The Dark Heart. It surrounded Divine Calamity like an armor of cosmic dread.
"THUMP!"
A single heartbeat from the Dark Heart released a gravitational shockwave. Reality cracked. Everything within a thousand kilometers was hurled back. The force slammed into Cain like a cosmic wall, nearly causing him to vomit blood. Cracks spread along his body despite his immense resistance.
His Rakshasa Immortal Body, reinforced by his bloodline’s Space-Time Skin, tried to disperse the damage. But even then, his frame bore the marks—fractures that stung with every breath.
Yet Cain didn’t falter.
His eyes glowed with focused intensity. He recognized the artifact immediately—the Dark Heart, the greatest treasure bestowed upon Divine Calamity by his Lord, along with the Abyssal Singularity Scripture. It offered terrifying power, but at a price. Its energy was finite. It was not something to be used lightly.
"Damn you!" Divine Calamity roared, watching in disbelief as Cain pressed forward despite the blow.
Cain tore through the gravitational tides unleashed by the Dark Heart, closing the gap with terrifying resolve. In desperation, Divine Calamity thrust his hand forward and unleashed a concentrated beam of gravitational energy straight from the Dark Heart—point-blank.
The blast struck Cain full force, blasting him skyward as he coughed a mouthful of blood.
His body trembled. Even his overwhelming resilience had limits, and that limit was approaching fast. Just as Cain began to stabilize himself in mid-air, Divine Calamity appeared before him once more, firing another focused gravitational beam right into his chest.
This time, it was Cain who was hurled through the sky. Gravitational beams lanced across the sky, twisting space and tearing through clouds, shattering bones as they landed.
"YES!" Andrew couldn’t help but shout in relief, a wide grin forming on his face.
Just when it seemed like Divine Calamity would fall, he revealed his true trump card and flipped the tide of battle. The other Prima Deities watched with a mix of amazement and dread.
The Sky Sovereign, however, did not flinch. His eyes glowed with faint red flames, calm and unshaken. He simply waited.
Divine Calamity grinned through blood, eyes gleaming with hatred. He continued hammering Cain with gravity-infused strikes, feeding the power of the Dark Heart until it reached its peak. He suddenly appeared behind Cain and gathered a massive amount of energy.
"Abyssal Coffin!"
Streams of dark gravitational force shot outward. In the blink of an eye, they surrounded Cain from all sides, forming a massive black cube—a coffin of absolute darkness and pressure. Space collapsed into it, sealing Cain in a prison meant to contain even ArchDeities.
