The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1889: Changing the nature of the Everlife Continent

Chapter 1889: Changing the nature of the Everlife Continent

Cain’s face was pale. Despite the overwhelming burst of vitality obtained after devouring Aether’s landmass, the mental toll and spiritual pressure from the entire project were nearly suffocating. And yet, a wide, genuine smile broke across his lips as he stared at the radiant golden sphere now resting within the Scarlet Throne.

Taking a deep breath, Cain turned his gaze toward the Everstrife Empyrean World. Like a falling meteor, he shot across the void, the crimson trail of his aura cutting through space-time itself. Thanks to his extraordinary speed and his command over space-time, he reached the Everlife Continent within minutes. Without wasting a second, Cain descended to the surface, placing his hand on the landmass before summoning the Scarlet Throne once more.

The throne’s gates opened, and in the next moment, a vast ocean of psychic energy and golden willpower surged forth from the crimson dimension. Cain’s eyes glowed with radiant golden light as his Star of Origin shone with overwhelming brilliance. He carefully guided the fusion process, channeling the power of The Flow and his attunement to the laws of the universe to ensure that the integration of Aether’s essence was precise and stable.

He concentrated the fusion exclusively on the Everlife Continent, ensuring that the ego and willpower within the golden sphere remained intact, stabilized, and undiluted. Slowly but surely, the land began to glow with an ethereal shimmer. A strange sensation washed over the trillions of lifeforms across the continent. From mortals to powerful cultivators, all felt something was changing—a subtle but profound shift in the nature of their world.

Within the Gu Sect, the people of Aether were still in the process of acclimating to their new home when the mysterious energy spread across the land. Yet, while others found the sensation unfamiliar, those from Aether felt something else—comfort. That energy made them feel like they were home.

Cain’s golden gaze intensified. He poured every drop of willpower and concentration into the fusion, locking his focus entirely on the process. Hours turned to days, and days into weeks as he maintained the delicate balance needed to merge Aether’s essence into the Everlife Continent. When the process finally concluded, Cain nearly collapsed from sheer exhaustion, panting heavily.

Devouring Aether and stabilizing its World Consciousness had been an arduous feat in itself—but this fusion, this transference of a world’s essence into another, was on a completely different level. Had it not been for The Flow, his attunement to World Strength, and his ability to commune with the fabric of the universe, it would have been impossible.

Cain allowed himself a few minutes to recover, his gaze fixed on the now subtly transformed continent beneath him.

"Whether it was a success or not... that remains to be seen," he muttered quietly.

He knew this was a gamble. But if he wished to triumph against the forces that would soon descend upon the Everlife Continent and see the destruction of his path, he needed to take bold risks.

"The only thing I can do now... is wait for Ao to awaken."

After making sure everything remained stable, Cain once more soared into the skies and sped toward the Gu Sect. A small but proud smile appeared on his face as his consciousness swept across the area. He found harmony, order, and steady growth among the newly arrived people. It was a sight that eased his spirit.

Just then, a figure flashed toward him—fast, but clearly still adapting to their movement. Cain’s smile widened as he saw Minxet arrive, his steps slightly clumsy, his movements uncontrolled. Though there was no flaw in the integration between his mind and new body, it was evident Minxet was still not used to the immense power he now wielded.

A complicated expression surfaced on Minxet’s face due to the clumsiness of his moves, but it was swiftly replaced with clarity and purpose. His back straightened, his eyes sharpened, and he bowed deeply before Cain.

"My King," Minxet began, voice steady, "the assimilation of our people into their new home is proceeding flawlessly. Every aspect is under control. At this stage, it requires minimal attention on my part—I am ready to take on additional tasks."

Cain nodded approvingly. One of the main reasons he had granted Minxet a new, powerful body was precisely to increase his capacity to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously without compromising efficiency.

"The Gu Sect, the Eclipse School, and the Golden Star Kingdom all have functioning defensive and teleportation formations. It’s time to connect them all. The Gu Sect will serve as the core. Your goal is to create a network capable of generating a continent-wide force field, and allow for instantaneous movement between all three sects. You have three months."

Minxet’s eyes widened slightly as he absorbed the weight of the command. With the Scarlet Kingdom now having total control over the continent and its organizations, this task was theoretically straightforward. They just need to adjust and empower the formations.

Still, compressing the timeline to just three months elevated the complexity exponentially.𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Yet instead of fear, his expression ignited with determination. He had been gifted a miraculous new body, a mind capable of processing information at inconceivable speeds, and a soul forged with limitless potential. He would not waste it.

"By mobilizing all of Aether’s Rune Masters, and combining them with the recently integrated Rune Masters from the Lord Organizations on the Everlife Continent, I believe we can complete ninety percent of the infrastructure within the given timeframe," Minxet declared confidently. "However, the final stages—the most complex and intricate aspects—may take longer. Lady Shura is the only one capable of engraving runes beyond the Soul Realm."

Cain nodded in satisfaction. Minxet had understood the magnitude of the task and had also recognized the limits of what he could personally accomplish. That clarity was what made him so effective.

"Don’t worry about the final phase," Cain replied calmly. "The Sky Sovereign is a Peak Prima Deity Rune Master. Once he returns from the Endlesslight Continent, he’ll handle the remaining parts. Just ensure the rest is ready by then."
