Chapter 1920: Ultimate healing tool
Chapter 1920: Ultimate healing tool
The reason for the unprecedented growth across the Everlife Continent and turmoil, tension, and uncertainty across the Everstrife Empyrean World was in the Gu Sect’s sacred cultivation grounds, isolated from external disturbances.
The sacred cultivation ground of the sect was heavily protected as the Sky Sovereign and others of the Scarlet Path Prima Deities were guarding the place. After severing the connection with the vitality of Everlife, Cain’s condition became truly dangerous, so they needed to make sure no one could harm him.
After all, what kind of a joke would it be if the Scarlet King that managed to defeat three ArchDeities alone was taken down because he was too wounded to fight back?
Cain sat cross-legged with eyes closed, his body constantly trembling. Internally, a catastrophic storm raged as blood vessels burst, organs ruptured, and tissues tore and regenerated continuously. Equally concerning was the chaotic state of his mind and soul, teetering dangerously on the edge of total collapse.
Such devastating injuries were the aftermath of recklessly activating Resurrection when his physical, spiritual, and mental capacities had clearly been insufficient to bear the immense strain of such a unique power up.
Fortunately, the abundant vitality of the World Breaker and the Lord of the Last Step constantly revolved around him, knitting his torn body back together faster than the injuries could permanently damage him. Meanwhile, powerful streams of healing psychic energy and spiritual essence from Ao and the Scarlet Throne gently soothed his fractured soul and unstable mind. Without their combined support, Cain would have undoubtedly fallen into a coma lasting potentially tens of thousands of years or much worse.
Finally, after enduring six grueling months, Cain’s tremors gradually began to subside, and his condition improved noticeably. Yet, another three arduous months passed before he could relax slightly, no longer pushing himself to the absolute limit merely to remain conscious.
Releasing a long, exhausted sigh, Cain slowly stretched his limbs, feeling a brief moment of relief. There was still a lot to heal, but his condition was stable.
He glanced thoughtfully at his weakened body, a complicated smile appearing on his face as he murmured to himself, "Just a few months ago, I held enough power to sunder galaxies with a mere gesture, yet now I can barely utilize thirty percent of my strength. It seems it will be quite some time before I fully recover."
"Will you send your consciousness to the Crimson World while your body and soul heal?" Apex’s voice echoed softly within Cain’s mind, carrying a note of curiosity.
Over the years, Cain had frequently sent his consciousness between worlds, cultivating in one universe while physically incapacitated in another. Cain briefly contemplated Apex’s suggestion before shaking his head decisively.
"My Neo-Demon body in the Crimson World is still evolving its Divine Kingdom to the Archdeity rank. If I transfer now, I’ll be trapped within that kingdom, unable to explore the rest of the world, so there is no point in doing that," Cain explained patiently.
Though countless monumental events had transpired since his return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, barely five years had actually passed. According to Cain’s estimations, the complete evolution of his Divine Kingdom still required significant time.
Yet this inconvenience was only secondary; a more pressing matter occupied Cain’s mind.
"Even if there was a benefit in my return to the Crimson World, I wouldn’t do it right now. Before anything else, Divine Calamity must be dealt with. There’s no doubt in my mind that the mysterious force that saved him will soon act against me. I fear no Archdeity in the Everstrife Empyrean World—but I do fear those behind him."
Cain’s words carried no shame or hesitation. The memory of that enormous, mysterious world—nine times larger than Everstrife—and the sinister red eyes fixated upon him still burned vividly in his consciousness. Despite having activated Resurrection, Cain instinctively knew he was nowhere near capable of challenging such an entity. His only viable option was to solidify his control over this Empyrean World before daring to think about venturing elsewhere.
Within Cain’s Soul Dimension, the golden humanoid figure smiled broadly upon hearing Cain openly accept his limitations and fears, while planning ahead with the safety of his people on his mind. Apex glanced momentarily toward the massive gate behind him, murmuring quietly, "Yet another path you would never have considered."
Turning back, Apex addressed Cain once more with a hint of concern, "Then what do you intend to do now? In your current state, you’re incapable of another battle, and it could take years to fully heal through conventional methods."
Cain nodded solemnly. Indeed, conventional healing methods would not suffice given the urgency of the threat he now faced. Fortunately, the victory over the trio of Archdeities provided him precisely what he most desperately needed in abundance.
"System, how much Spiritual Destiny Force do I currently possess?" Cain’s voice contained a faint note of nervous anticipation.
During the battle, he had completely exhausted every last point of his Spiritual Destiny Force. Defeating the Archdeity trio undoubtedly earned him a considerable amount, but Cain was unsure just how much he had accumulated.
After a brief pause, the Absolute Life Form System’s mechanical voice echoed clearly in Cain’s consciousness.
[SDF: 31431]
"Hahahahaha!" Cain burst into uncontrollable laughter upon hearing the astronomical figure. Such an immense amount of Spiritual Destiny Force surpassed even his highest expectations. With this bounty, he could easily utilize the Gluttony Module’s True Cosmic Body Nurturing Tool to recover fully; thirty thousand points would suffice for him to restore himself entirely.
However, another, riskier option crossed his mind—one akin to flipping a coin, with equal chances of success or catastrophic failure. It was precisely due to the immense risk associated with this method that Cain had previously refused to consider it until he was certain he had sufficient Spiritual Destiny Force to correct any potential disasters that might arise.
Cain drew a deep breath, calming and steadying his mind. He extended his hand confidently and with absolute conviction, summoned forth his ultimate healing tool.
