The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1952: An Alpha-Omega Overgod’s beast

Chapter 1952: An Alpha-Omega Overgod’s beast

Cain clenched his fists, feeling the full might of his Middle Prima Deity’s Inner Universe erupt through him. The power surged from his Evolutio Core across his body like a tidal wave, and the surroundings trembled under his command of gravity, space, and time.

It was a truly intoxicating feeling, the sudden rise in power, yet he did not lose focus. Cain’s eyes glowed faintly as he turned toward the next gate.

The one-month limit had already passed. While he still had 1,000 credits left, he had gained all possible benefits from the Three-Headed Snake formation. Continuing to infuse its energy into his Sacred Organs for another ten days would yield little improvement. It was better to save the remaining credits for the many wonders still to be found in the rest of the ring.

With a single thought, Cain rose into the air and shot forward at radiant speed.

Amon and Bael were already waiting by the gate to the second level, both wearing wide smiles. Using the credits that they had gained as Cain’s companions, the brothers had gathered a large number of rare resources—herbs and special materials—that could be turned into potent medicines capable of accelerating their cultivation.

When they saw the Scarlet King approaching, their smiles shifted into wide-eyed surprise. The pressure radiating from him was overwhelming, the Laws so dense that it felt almost suffocating. It was clear he had achieved a breakthrough and pushed his already formidable strength even further.

Cain simply nodded to them before stepping toward the gate. This one resembled a hinged sternum, its massive bone surface polished by time but still carrying faint traces of life. Even after what seemed like billions of years, its vitality lingered.

"An Alpha-Omega Overgod’s beast...?" Cain thought. No other creature could have been so powerful or have bones that endured so perfectly. He could not help but touch the sternum and feel its durability. "Even a full-power blow during Resurrecion might not be able to break it!

Although the bone was formidable, he did not dwell on it for long and sent a sliver of his consciousness into the gate in order to face the new trial.

"Welcome to the Ossuary Gate. Choose the field in which you wish to face the trial. The higher your score, the greater the amount of credits you will receive."

Once again, the ancient voice echoed in his mind, and the list of trial fields appeared before him. He was already set to face the fourth gate using Tribulation Enhancement, and would advance through all the previous gates in the same way to prepare himself.

"Trial of Tribulation Enhancement!"

The gate pulsed with light as a sphere of energy manifested before the Scarlet King.

"Trial accepted. Forge a Thirty-Nine Revolution Flame in less than three hours. The faster you forge, the higher the score. The timer begins when you touch the provided energy."

The task was similar to the one he had faced in the first trial, yet the difficulty was far greater. Forging a Thirty-Seven Revolution Flame and forging a Thirty-Nine Revolution Flame was like the difference between building a house and constructing a towering citadel.

Cain took a deep breath and adopted a meditative position. Thirty-Nine Revolution Flames were within his ability, as he had already forged plenty of them, but the last time he forged one had taken almost two hours. That speed would not earn him a high grade. To achieve the best result, he needed to push his concentration and precision to their absolute limits.

After two hours of meditation, Cian placed his hand beneath the sphere of energy. His eyes shone with golden light as he guided the energy into form.

Colors began to emerge within the flame—one after another—until he reached thirty-seven in just two minutes and ten seconds. The recent evolution of his Inner Universe had sharpened his control over energy, allowing him to reach this stage with even greater speed than a month ago.

But from here, the true challenge began. The jump from thirty-seven to thirty-eight revolutions was immense, each new layer requiring countless precise adjustments. The complexity was such that even a single misalignment could destabilize the entire structure.

Cain’s gaze was sharp, his mind and soul straining as he worked. The thirty-eighth color took ten full minutes to complete, and the pressure only grew.

The final step—the thirty-ninth revolution—was the most difficult. The weight on his mind was intense, his mental energy burning away at a steady pace. But he pressed forward, weaving power with exact precision, until finally, just before the timer reached forty minutes, the thirty-ninth color blazed into existence.

Amon and Bael stared at the perfect flame with awe. Thirty-Nine Revolution Flames were peak Prima Deity-tier, their power great enough to reforge the bodies of Archdeities. While they could not directly enhance one’s talent, they could heal almost any injury to body, soul, or mind.

"Success!" The gate’s voice cut through the moment.

"Grade: Ouroboros. Credits granted — 10,000. Credits to companions — 1,000 each."

"Yes!"

"Awesome!"

The brothers could not contain their joy. A thousand credits were more than enough to acquire valuable treasures in the next level.

Cain, however, barely reacted. His mind burned from the effort—he had pushed himself to his absolute limit to finish the flame so quickly. But it had been worth it.

The great gate opened, revealing colonnades made from the bones of a titanic creature. Warm forges glowed inside sternums, and massive anvils rested atop vertebrae. The air was thick with the scent of heated metal and incense.

Unlike the gardens of the first level, the Second Ring was a realm of smithing and creation, seemingly built within the skeleton of a beast so vast it could have matched the continents of an Empyrean World.

With smiles on their faces, the trio stepped forward, feeling the raw energy in the air.

"One month," Cain said simply.

Without another word, they each took off in different directions, aiming to make the most of their credits.
