The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2003: Time to build a kingdom

Chapter 2003: Time to build a kingdom

Victory was theirs. The battlefield still smoldered with ruin, yet the Scarlet Path had stood triumphant.

Cain’s gaze swept across the raging ocean beneath him, waves still heaving and crashing from the apocalyptic struggle that had taken place in the highest skies. The once-proud island—headquarters of the RainbowSky Heaven—was no more, obliterated alongside most of its pavilions and treasuries. Yet Cain knew there were spoils left to be claimed, remnants that could not be allowed to sink into the abyss.

Without wasting another breath, the Scarlet King dived into the depths. The water parted like molten glass around him as he descended, his senses stretched across every fathom. Along the way he collected the corpses of the Prime Deities—those whose souls had been devoured by Dionisio—snatching their space rings and treasures. Each one was a trove of wealth and inheritance that could allow a member of the Scarlet Path to grow.

Deeper and deeper Cain plunged, past trenches of black silence, until at last he reached what he had sought from the beginning.

High above, Leonidas, Bael, Amon, and the assassin-ally lingered in the air, patiently watching. Their auras burned steadily, their bodies scarred and slowly healing, as they awaited their leader’s return. At last, the ocean split, and Cain rose again, dragging with him seven monoliths that blazed with ancient power—the core inheritances of the RainbowSky Heaven itself.

The monoliths floated in the air like pillars of a forgotten cosmos. Each was humming with divine laws. Cain’s eyes narrowed, sharp and searching.

According to legend, these relics were older than RainbowSky Heaven itself. The first master of the Heaven, half a billion years ago, had stumbled upon this island by chance and forged an Omega Lord Tier organization around their inheritance.

Cain circled them slowly, his lips curving faintly.

"Relics from the First Era?" he murmured.

Each monolith bore an ArchDeity-tier cultivation technique, not the diluted shadows of lesser arts, and each was a doctrine rooted in the Seven Original Sins. Six of them contained paths only to Early ArchDeity Rank. But one—the Lust Inheritance—reached far higher, mapping the way into the Late ArchDeity stage.

Individually, each monolith was a treasure beyond compare. Yet Cain’s instincts whispered that there was something more concealed in them, something veiled behind the sins themselves. Still, he wasted no further time speculating. With a wave of his hand, the seven monoliths collapsed into his Inner Universe, sealed for study later.

When he ascended to his allies, Cain bore a wide, victorious smile. His eyes passed over each of them, full of pride and respect. Then his gaze fell last upon the newcomer.

Ozark had already released his Liberación Total, his form settling into his natural, ominous state. Cloaked in shadowy robes, he radiated the air of an executioner. A hood concealed most of his features, but a blood-red mask glimmered faintly with eerie light beneath. His right arm crackled with raw energy, coursing like unstable veins of power through his flesh.

Cain inclined his head with respect.

"Ozark, you did well. Your timing was flawless, and your strike decisive. Truly impressive."

The assassin merely gave a slight nod, his voice flat.

"I only did the task given to me."

Cain’s smile deepened. He appreciated a man of few words.

"Indeed. Before this war, we made an arrangement. You were promised ArchDeity-tier treasures—one before battle, and another upon victory, with a bonus if you captured one alive."

His eyes shifted to the gauntlet fused into Ozark’s right hand, a weapon of molten fire and jagged claws.

"I trust the first treasure served you well in combat?"

Even Ozark’s stoic mask cracked for a moment, a faint glint of excitement showing in his gaze. He flexed the gauntlet, crimson sparks dancing in the air. It had adapted seamlessly to every transformation he assumed, and with it, he had pierced the chest of an ArchDeity in a single strike.

"It is remarkable. More than I expected."

He waved his left hand, summoning a fiery orb. It drifted toward Cain, glowing with suppressed might. Inside, bound and broken, was Dionisio—once Lord of RainbowSky Heaven, now nothing more than a captive.

Cain accepted the orb, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes.

"Good. When we return to the Gu Sect, I will pay the remainder of your price."

A Middle ArchDeity with one foot already in the Late Stage will yield Fortune enough to forge a powerful Gift and still leave a lot of Merit.

Ozark gave no reply, but his silence was agreement enough.

Leonidas’s deep voice broke through the moment, solemn and reverent.

"What are our next steps, Scarlet King?"

The old warrior’s tone carried awe, and Cain felt the weight of every gaze upon him. Leonidas, Bael, Amon, Ozark—all of them had fought countless wars. But now they looked to Cain with full confidence, his cunning and command proven beyond doubt.

Cain inhaled slowly. His mind had already arranged the course ahead, each step unfolding in clarity.

"First, we return to the Everlife Continent. There, we will build a kingdom—not in name alone, but in truth, a place where our power is concentrated and our elites can rise. Once our foundation is secure, we will expand outward, seeding the Scarlet Path into every corner of our domains. This will allow us to link our territories through an intercontinental formation. And more importantly..."

His eyes burned, his voice thundered.

"...this will allow me to bear the burden of Resurrection beyond Everlife itself."

At those words, all four ArchDeities stirred visibly, their gazes blazing with hunger and awe.

Cain’s Liberación Total was already unmatched—granting him the might of a Late ArchDeity, a force capable of shocking even alien monsters like Azazel. But in Resurrection, his battle power rose to something incomprehensible, a step brushing the threshold of Half-Step Alpha-Omega Overgod.

Until now, that terrifying strength had been bound to Everlife alone. But if Cain could extend it outward—carry it to any battlefield across the Empyrean World—then this war would tilt dramatically in their favor.

The future of the Everstrife Empyrean World would be written in their flames.

The four nodded in unison, eyes bright with anticipation. Excitement surged through them like wildfire. Without hesitation and a victory under their belt, they marched toward Everlife.

The age of conquest had only just begun.
