Chapter 2209: The super powerhouses of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe
The super-powerhouses of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe stood before the massive golden hall.
The Universe Will had granted them a stronghold—one place where they could gather the full might of each of their worlds—but a single, enormous problem immediately overshadowed that gift.
As they glanced at one another, none showed even the slightest sign of real and profound trust, the kind needed to forge a true alliance.
Their expressions were cold, guarded, suspicious. None of them truly knew each other. And the fact that some still carried the doctrines of the Light and Dark Camps—doctrines demanding hatred—only made the situation worse.
Cain watched them with a sharpening frown. His golden eyes read their emotions and intentions with merciless precision, and what he saw was troubling: not even a trace of unity, not even a faint desire to work together. And yet unity was the only way they could hope to face The Root.
Without cooperation, they were merely six scattered forces standing before an enemy that had already defeated them once.
"We need a leader," Cain thought, feeling the familiar heaviness settle over him again. He understood better than anyone how important cohesion was.
If they had acted together earlier, things would have gone differently. Maybe they still would have been wounded, but certainly not as close to death as they had been. But expecting these beings—each the supreme entity of their Empyrean World, each accustomed to ruling alone—to accept a leader above them?
That would be extremely difficult. They all stood above trillions. They bowed to no one.
Yet it had to happen.
Cain breathed out quietly, feeling the weight pushing deeper into his shoulders. He would have preferred someone else to take the burden while he focused entirely on combat. Fighting was simple. Fighting was honest. There was no need to navigate egos, political tensions, or hidden motivations.
But among the people gathered here, no one seemed truly capable of leading, much less uniting the entire Nine Empyrean Suns Universe into a single direction.
So, inevitably, the responsibility fell to him.
However, Cain was not foolish enough to simply announce himself as leader. That would only alienate the group and might even fracture them further. No—this needed to be done step by step.
Cain allowed his aura to flare for a brief moment. The sudden release of energy drew every gaze toward him instantly.
The other super-powerhouses turned, watching him with solemn and curious expressions. Among all of them, Cain was by far the most enigmatic. He did not come from any of the Six Sacred Races. He possessed a strange, unfathomable power. And standing at his side was Anark—still immensely powerful even after the Universe Matrix stripped away its support. No one here felt confident facing either of them alone, let alone together.
And if that was not enough, Cain was the only one present who had already killed a Champion of the Root. The strange dimension he wielded had left a permanent dread in their hearts.
Once all eyes were on him, Cain offered a small smile. Golden and scarlet light filled his eyes, radiating an innate calm that eased tension without force.
"A lot has happened," Cain said. "And there are many things we need to discuss. However, the first thing we must do is introduce ourselves."
He paused and let silence settle for a moment.
"I am Cain Luarifer, the Scarlet King, Leader of the Scarlet Kingdom, and ruler of the Everstrife Empyrean World. I am also a True Primordial." When he finished, he turned to Anark.
The True Primordial of the Void watched the others with an expression bordering on boredom. To him, they behaved like children unable to stand still even as their universe collapsed. Still, when he felt Cain’s gaze, he gave a short nod.
"I am Anark. True Primordial. Ally of the Scarlet Kingdom."
Cain resisted the impulse to rub his forehead. The introduction was blunt to the point of being almost rude—but it matched Anark’s personality perfectly.
His attention shifted to the representative of the Godslayer Humankind.
Cipher remained silent for a long moment, his gaze heavy and assessing. Finally, he nodded, his voice sharp and powerful. "I am Cipher Orikalko, Master of the Golden Empire and ruler of the Enderfall Empyrean World."
Cain nodded in acknowledgment and turned next to the member of the Legio Eldritch Race. The towering being wasted no time with hesitation.
"I am Uriel Arcate, Crown Prince of the Myriad Soul Kingdom and ruler of the Wrathgarde Empyrean World."
A flicker of interest crossed Cain’s eyes. Uriel wasn’t the supreme authority in his own kingdom. That didn’t necessarily mean his father was stronger—many worlds placed figureheads on their thrones while a single overwhelming powerhouse served as the kingdom’s true anchor. But it was notable nonetheless.
Cain then shifted his gaze to the Deus Behemoth. An awkward tension sparked instantly between them.
The first thing the Deus Behemoth did when he arrived in the void was to release an attack that had wounded Cain. Back then, the draconic man had simply seen an opportunity to strike at the Champions of the Root and seized it, disregarding collateral damage.
Yet now, understanding Cain’s true power, the Deus Behemoth’s eyes held a glimmer of caution.
Fortunately for him, Cain showed no hostility.
"I am Zephirax Zoultail, master of the Lightning Heart Conclave and ruler of the Lightningrend Empyrean World."
Cain nodded again, moving on. He hadn’t forgotten the attack—and he fully intended to repay it someday—but the larger crisis took priority.
His gaze then fell upon the only woman present. Her eyes were the most guarded of all, sharp with restrained suspicion.
She remained silent until she finally spoke, her tone cold and crisp. "I am Amara Bloodhaven, ruler of the Bloodhaven Empyrean World."
For a moment, Cain studied her. She had renamed her Empyrean World after herself, an interesting decision, either born of great will or great insecurity. Yet, there were more important concerns.
Finally, his eyes settled on the last of the powerhouses.
The final figure stepped forward, voice steady. "I am Arkam Cirkuit, Leader of the Cirkuit Kingdom and ruler of the Lifebreak Empyrean World."
